So the Disney oversight district will meet this coming Friday to likely vote to support $500,000 of investment that will go towards the sunshine corridor train project that will connect the MCO airport to Disney Springs, fantastic. So the Florida Department of Transportation requires a project development and environmental study before the project can get funding from the state to move forward. So the Central Florida commuter rail is seeking $6 million for that study. The oversight committee will meet on Friday to approve $500,000 towards that universal had already pledged 2 million towards that Seminole County and City of Orlando. Pledge 500k each. So far, they’ve raised five and a half million. Okay? That would run from the airport MCO towards the Orange County Convention Center, Sea World and epic universe, universal new thing, yeah. And then it would turn south towards Disney Springs. Okay,

And so the environmental study could take as many as much as two years itself, and then you’re looking if, if it gets greenlit, you’re looking at another four to five years after that of train construction. so there was a shareholder meeting, I guess, this past week that Bob Iger spoke at, and someone asked about the high ticket prices. Oh, right for for theme parks, okay? And he, he didn’t really, you know he’s, he’s not gonna say, Well, yeah, I agree that ticket prices are too high and we’re gonna bring them down. No, no, what? What he, well, he did lean heavily into was that they believe that the value of a Disney theme park ticket is much higher than other things you might spend those same dollars on, like, say, a concert ticket or a ball game, right, right? You’re, you’re gonna spend, yeah, concert tickets, or even more concert tickets today are crazy, yeah, through the roof. And, you know, to go to a go to an NFL game, or even a college football game or, right? Yeah, you’re going to spend a lot of money. So, yeah, maybe there’s a point there. We all, we all like what we like, right? He also mentioned that there are more major projects underway right now at Disney than there have ever been. I believe that in park history. And so I started thinking, well, is that? Is that right? Well, it might be. I believe it. Yeah, with what they’re doing, it the Magic Kingdom to try to expand there. What they’re doing at Animal Kingdom to try to expand there. They’re getting rid of that Dino land area. What they’re doing at Hollywood studios to replace that Muppets area with a new monsters inc area, yeah, and there’s a lot of other things, so big stuff at almost every day, stuff like these are, these are big undertakings at these parks. So, yeah, I mean, there’s, there’s a lot going on. And he says, you know, the the whole point of those big undertakings is to increase capacity, right, thin out lines, that where lines gather today, and to increase, continue to increase the value of those park tickets, right? What you hope doesn’t happen is we’ve added all this new stuff, so now we get to raise park tickets again.

Yeah, right, but that’s also, you know, supply and demand. So park tickets are priced at a place where everybody can’t afford them intentionally, right? Because the park can’t hold everybody. Can’t

He actually visited multiple parks and Disney Springs in Florida this year already. And you know, we keep not like the parks are full, the parks are parks are full. I don’t think so, because they here’s the announcement, and you’ll see why I say that when geo 82 opens this year, the location will offer reservations for guests 21 and older. The lounge will be the ultimate spot to toast a trip around Epcot with innovative cocktails and globally influence small plates, and you can take in spectacular Park views.

And from you can see it from the lounge, where you can see other famous people already staying in those rooms, like the owner and founder of The Big Thunder mining company, Barnabas T Boone, that’s awesome. And and M Davis, which is recognizing Disney legend Mark Davis, is also already staying at That’s awesome. So that’ll be a fun place to check out the next time. Absolutely yes. are so many night time parades that have, that have happened in Disney history. So let’s talk a little bit about those. The OG, of course, is the Main Street Electrical Parade. Course it has. You know, it’s felt on again, off again in recent years. But I look back at its history, it’s actually always been kind of on again, off again. Yeah, like you says the day it launched in Disneyland in 1972 it ran for like, three years, and then it was off for a couple years, and then it came back again for a few years. Yeah,

She clearly has no idea who she is. I didn’t even know existed. But the Blue Fairy that that grants Pinocchio the ability to come to learn into a real boy. Well, she makes him a wooden boy that comes to life, and then she makes him a real boy, real boy. Okay, yes. So she kicks up, she she invites you to wish upon a star, and that’s what, okay, creates this beautiful parade, the starlight parade,

There will be an Encanto portion of the parade. Isabella makes her magic kingdom debut, joining the madrigal family, where she’ll be swinging from floral vines. Of course she will. Isabella is so stuck. Oh, she’s much better now. She learned her lesson. She likes to make ugly flowers. We get treated to a moat, a float replete with an amazing luminescent waves. I saw the concept art for this. That’s cool. Her, her canoe is like literally riding atop the way. Yes, if you look closely, you can see a Pua, a Hey and manta ray.

So I’m gonna tell you where you can get 10 amazing things and dips that go with them, okay, at Walt, Disney World. So this is in no particular order, okay, but I wanna say we’re not talking about the Mickey pretzel with the plastic cheese. Okay, these are unique things that you should go out of your way to try and get. Okay, so these aren’t basic. When we first moved out here, a local Mexican restaurant named amigos has a billboard that says we have ranch and things to dip in it. And I thought, I’m gonna love Nebraska. This is fantastic. And so that’s the energy that I’m taking into this. I like it. Okay, so the first place we’re gonna stop is in Morocco tangerine cafe. This is an Epcot. They have this at almost every festival, but you can get it inside the tangerine Cafe as well. This is going to be your stone baked Moroccan bread with assorted dips. Now the dips change regularly. You can have hummus. There’s one called zaluk, and that’s an eggplant and tomato dip. There’s one called zoo dip that is cilantro, garlic, chili pepper, spices and olive oil. Sometimes they have a sweet one, like a fig dip. The cool part about this is it’s usually about $6 so if it’s at a festival, it’s like 525, right? So this is affordable, and we love the tangerine cafe. So total winner. So absolutely, that’s that’s a showstopper. Go there to celebrate chip and dip day. The next place you want to stop is in Mexico. This is outside at La Cantina descent and hell. So this is the outside one. Okay. Now here you’re gonna not see this on the menu, okay, which is fine. All you do is ask for it right now. Here’s the beauty. You’re gonna ask for chips with cheese sauce. This is going to be your white queso, okay? And they give this to you in like a half pint container. It’s a significant amount of cheese that they give you there, and it is worth every ounce of it. Now you could go just with their straight nachos, which include ground beef and beans, tomatoes, jalapenos and sour cream. But I say don’t ruin the chips with all of that. Okay, we’re celebrating chip and dip day. Chip. Don’t cover it with all of that. You can also get guac for $3 okay? So if you can get your chips with queso and guac, that would be amazing, right? That’s your best chip and queso on Disney property. Don’t question me on that. I’m a queso connoisseur. That’s your best bet, and it’s fantastic price. The nachos are like $15 they’ll sell you that chip and queso for significantly less than that, I think, like half the price. So I’m just saying Don’t sleep on the nachos in Mexico with some queso. That is the way to celebrate chip and dip day. Now I’m going to take some liberty with the chip side. Come on with the chip side of things, and a couple of these. Our next stop is going to be Nomad lounge and animal kingdom. And here, the first thing that we’re going to order is the churros, because they come with three different dips, and they’re fried like a chip would be.

This is where we’re gonna get the burrata. Now y’all burrata is burrata, and it’s amazing. And I love any burrata wine bar. George knows what he’s doing with cheese. He does this. Burrata comes with tomatoes mint and sourdough crostinis. This is $19 and so honestly, those little sourdough bits with the burrata is it’s heaven on a plate. And if you need more of the sourdough bits, then just be like, I need more of the sourdough bits. They’ll bring them. Okay, they’ll bring them. So don’t, don’t worry about that. Get yourself a good bit of that burrata on every sourdough bit. And if you need more sourdough bits, then get more. Okay, that’s $19 then you’re gonna pop over to art Smith’s homecoming, where definitely recommend the sweet tea shine. And on the side of that, you’re gonna get the bunch of puppies. These are housemade hush puppies served with pimento cheese and red jalapeno jelly for $15 so good. Don’t miss that. That is a Fun Dip situation. Now, while you’re in Disney Springs going over to polite pig. Polite pig has a hop salt pretzel. This is a big pretzel, like what you would get in Germany. This comes with beer cheese fondue and mustard sauce. So if you want to do the pretzel with cheese. Like, if that’s your heart snack, then go to the polite pig and do it there. Get a proper pretzel and cheese to celebrate chip and dip day. Like, don’t phone this in with the Mickey pretzel and the plastic cheese in the park, right? Don’t phone this in, all right. Do it right? Go to polite pig last two sleep. Sleepy Hollow. Now we know Sleepy Hollow tests a lot of things out. They do. You remember the last time we were at Magic Kingdom and we were waiting for the nighttime show? I was hungry, and I was like, What can I go get? I’ll just go see. What Sleepy Hollow has they have house made chips for 329 I don’t know of anywhere else in the park really, that has those House made chips, especially not quick service. Highly recommend you get a good amount of them and just go with the ketchup to dip like these things are salted to perfection. They’re fantastic. Just stick with the ketchup as your basic dip, and you will not be disappointed, better than a fry. Yes, would not be disappointed. And last but not least, again, these are in no particular order. We’re gonna pop back over to Disney Springs, to jock Lindsay’s hanger bar, where we’re gonna get the bread dip pyramid. This is Brazilian cheese bread, little bitty bits of ’em sold stacked up in a pyramid. And on the side of that, you get a creamy tomato sauce and a chorizo dip sold for 1250 these little cheese breads look amazing, and the sauces looked good too.
