hello out there. Disney. Fam, my name is Chris, and I’m Kelli, and we’re here to do a very professional show today, unlike our last outing, right? You’ve got your stuff together this time, I’m always
Kelli 0:47
nothing but professional. Okay? I am. I’m the definition of professional when it comes to this show. And so what years are we wearing? We’re in Slinky dog ears, which are on topic for me today, some of my most popular when I’m walking through the parks, I will say they’re also very comfortable ears, but I don’t think they sell them anymore in the parks. And so when I wear them, especially at Hollywood studios, I always get stopped, Hey, where’d you get your ears? Where’d you get your ears? And I’m like, Yeah, I don’t think they sell them anymore.
Chris 1:19
Where’d you get those ears. You’re
Kelli 1:20
OG man,
Chris 1:25
nothing, if not OG we had downloads from cool places, right? New Orleans, Louisiana, New Orleans. Big, easy, nice, nothing in this world like Bourbon Street. No, I’m saying good, bad and different, whatever. Nothing like Bourbon Street. My dad’s best friend likes to say, Man, I did two tours in Vietnam, but I never seen like. That’s awesome. Fredericktown, Ohio. Fun fact, okay, birthplace of Luke Perry, ah Dylan,
Kelli 2:05
yeah, oh, my goodness.
Yeah, free
Chris 2:23
sticker to anybody who can tell us what she’s doing right now. And I mean humming the song, not losing her mind. No, no stickers for stating the obvious. Campbellsville, Kentucky, founded in 1817, by Andrew Campbell. Hey, Andrew, what do you want to name your town? I think we should name it Campbellsville.
Kelli 2:48
Is it where the soup was made?
Chris 2:50
I did not get that. It’s where Campbellsville University is. Though interesting.
Kelli 2:57
It’s like in Disney’s dreamlike valley where Gaston refers to all of the places Gastonia, which
Chris 3:05
is super funny for us, hilarious we lived not far from Gaston. Honestly, that
Kelli 3:10
is exactly what Gastonia would be if Gaston was in charge. Gaston for sure,
Chris 3:18
and Melbourne, Australia, oh, coastal capital of southeastern, Australian state of Victoria and fun, the Australian Open. I know. Man, that is super fun. Huge in Australia. Welcome Australia. Yeah. Okay, so we were going to also let the folks know, yes,
Kelli 3:38
we are officially taking September off. We’ve done the best that we can in August, but the packing is winning, and we need the weekends
Chris 3:49
we do. And so we will work be done at the new place, yes, between now and the official move says, and
Kelli 3:55
so we will take September off in order to move, and we will be back in October. So this is going to be last episode for about four weeks.
Chris 4:04
I do think we need to fit in a virtual tour, because the food one, Food and Wine Festival started.
Kelli 4:11
Okay, all right. Well, that’s on you. Okay,
Chris 4:13
you got it. Can’t wait. Looking forward to it. Okay. You ready for some news?
Kelli 4:19
Give it to us on
Chris 4:22
Let’s sing. This is probably old news. It’s been a couple of weeks, but Walt Disney World is looking for someone to play Isabella. Oh, yes, the way they announced it was Disney live entertainment is seeking performers to portray Isabella from Disney’s Encanto for future opportunities, performers will have the opportunity to bring this role to life and some other stuff. Gotta be five, five to five, nine with the warm, engaging and outgoing personality.
Kelli 4:48
Shoot 540 dad, God, once again,
Chris 4:54
cannot play Isabella awarded
Kelli 4:56
a lot, but I.
Chris 5:00
She, I think, is going to be in the new the new start Disney, Starlight. Is that the name of the new parade that we heard about? Oh, right, right, right. It’s gonna have an Encanto float. Okay, yeah, the concept art showed Isabella.
Kelli 5:15
Okay, all right, so we need her wonder why it has to be 5955 to five nine. Because I honestly would have thought she was taller in the movie
Chris 5:24
Isabella, yeah, or Louisa, oh,
Kelli 5:27
I’m thinking I knew it. I knew it. I’m thinking Louisa,
Chris 5:31
yeah, you are okay, yep. Although I think that a Disneyland coming up soon, I think they just announced this today, you’re gonna be able to meet Isabella and Louisa
Kelli 5:40
at a meet and greet. Nice. Okay, awesome.
Chris 5:44
Details of the new pirates bar coming to Magic Kingdom came out and there. And what the concept art shows us, you know, I said, when we first talked about this, I said, I hope it’s like one of those places where the, you know, the wait staff, are also performers, and they like, yes, pump on the bar. Lead us in some pirate shanties, you know? And that’s sort of what the concept art suggests. There is definitely someone with an alcoholic beverage stepping up onto the bar dressed as a pirate. Okay, that’s fun. I don’t know what we should take out of concept art, okay, but that’s something that here’s a person that’s looking forward to that, if that
Kelli 6:23
sounds like fun, and it’s definitely where Tortuga Tavern is, I think
Chris 6:26
so right there across from the or, well, rather, is it right there
Kelli 6:32
across from Pirates of Caribbean? Maybe,
Chris 6:36
um, or, or it’s going to take over the space where they do, like, they turn kids into pirates. Okay, okay, the little stage area maybe, okay, so we’ll see where it is. But it looks really, really cool. I love the in the concept art, the main light fixture over the bar is a huge wooden anchor that’s got. That’s cool. It’s really, really cool.
Kelli 6:58
Awesome at
Chris 6:59
the very merry, not Very Merry Christmas Party, the not so scary Halloween party this year, you can actually meet the hitchhiking ghosts. It’s not really a meet and greet, but, you know, in the frontier land area, there’s like a, like a walkway above the storefronts and the hitchhiking ghosts are actually going to be there. Oh my god. Like, can you can
Kelli 7:29
never want to go. I’ve never wanted to go to the Mickey’s Very scary, more than I do now, I
Chris 7:36
know you meet them, they look fantastic, by the way, that the costuming is tremendous. Yeah, I know. I know missing out. We’re missing out by not just living there every day. Okay? Epcot Food and Wine Festival menus have been released. We just talked about how we need to do a virtual tour, so I’ll take care of that. Started on Friday. Friday was no Thursday was the 29th and it will run through November the 23rd so it’s a it’s a little bit short, about a month shorter. That started about a month later this year. Interesting, but I just saw something today. The you know how they always had that brewing area at the Odyssey pavilion, yeah, where they have all these different wing flavors, there is a Carolina Reaper wing this year. Oh, wow. And in the serving container, I only saw like two, and the the write up was, it’s delicious until it’s not anymore,
Kelli 8:42
and then you die. So
Chris 8:45
apparently your face melts off, right? You know the show hot ones. Apparently Donald Duck was on hot ones. Oh, my God, just recently. That’s fantastic. Yes, fantastic. And so this wing sort of corresponds with that, and it will make you feel like Donald feels in the in that show. Oh, that’s interesting,
Kelli 9:05
because he has quite the tantrum on in Fremont Valley too. Yeah.
Chris 9:10
Well, his face is completely red and his eyeballs turn into volcanoes that erupt when he eats one of the hot wings. Oh, that’s fantastic. But we obviously have feelings for the Carolina Reaper because the guy that invented it, Fort Mill was in Fort Mill, and I mean literally, right down the road from where we used to live. His storefront, the pucker butt pepper company, pepper company, yep. And it always just thrills me when I see the Carolina Reaper anywhere, knowing where it came from. That’s cool. So absolutely, and they do say in the write up that I saw this, and you know, it’s, this is not going to be the tastiest wing ever, but if you’d like to, you know, challenge yourself to eating something you want to melt your face off. Incredibly spicy. This is a good thing to go for. Okay, easily the spiciest thing Disney has ever produced. Okay. Uh, something is apparently going on at the hotel do Canada, in the Canadian pavilion, okay, at the park. I’ve never known of anything that was actually that actually took place in there. I mean, I remember seeing the Hotel de Canada and all that. And you can walk back there behind it and see those cool waterfalls and stuff. But there was a notice of commencement permit lists Icarus exhibits as the contractor for the work, and the scope of the work is described as quote, install set elements. Icarus was founded in 1987 near Walt, Disney World, and their specialty is creating themed immersive and bringing those themed immersive environments to life. And they’ve been working with Disney since the 1990s specifically with Imagineers at the Magic Kingdom. And they have assisted on Galaxy’s edge. Rapunzels bathroom, we know how amazing that is. Best
Kelli 10:55
bathroom on property. It’s the nice, the prettiest, it’s the prettiest, it’s the prettiest. The only bathroom I know of that has a photo op, right?
Chris 11:04
So, yeah, this is a this bathroom so nice. It’s got a photo op, although it means that it’s the inside of that bathroom is going to be a disaster. Oh,
Kelli 11:12
yeah, no, I don’t use the inside of it. It’s way too many strollers out there. Exactly. Bathroom with that much stroller parking is a bad idea. Bad idea. Yeah,
Chris 11:20
Toy Story land. They worked on Tiana’s and Tron. They’ve helped with all these things, and now they’re working on the hotel at Canada. So, okay, I just saw you know, I wonder what’s going on there. Canada could use something else. Okay, the Disney destiny will make its maiden voyage on November the 20th next year. So this will be the next, newest ship to come out. They’re really growing that fleet. It’ll sell out of Fort Lauderdale, typically, will be a Western Caribbean and Disney Island cruise. Although that maiden voyage is going to go to both Disney islands, they have cast Castaway Cay and lookout K, okay, and this, that main voyage is going to hit both of those spots, which will be a lot of fun. All right, I’m sure the Disney destiny will be just beautiful and great. Probably not what the Disney treasure is, frankly, probably, but you can start booking that, that maiden voyage as early as, like, in like, 12 days.
Kelli 12:21
Wow, this
Chris 12:22
year, September 12 this year, right? And a few new details have been released for the new poly or the island. New Island tower at Polynesian resort. We’ve got a friend who’s really kind of jerky and going to the Polynesian this week. Kind of
Kelli 12:40
constantly going to Disney and like so we then we have to hate them having
Chris 12:44
brunch at homecoming like today, and shoving it right in my face. Please don’t stop doing that. By the way, if you hear this, please don’t stop. Um, yeah. So they announced that at the new island tower at Polynesian will be the wailu Bar and Grill. So Disney says this, the new wailu Bar and Grill located within the addition evokes the natural beauty of the islands, from banquet seating surrounded by by flowing water to a lava rock inspired bar overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon. It offers breathtaking views of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom park. Enjoy on the go, breakfast and then all day, lunch and dinner, plus a walk up Pool Bar and Grill. Nice. I like it. I’ll take that super exciting a walk
Kelli 13:31
up pool bar in the tower. Like, up in the tower. No,
Chris 13:35
I think this is they’re gonna have a surface level. Okay, yeah, okay. Because I was like, wow, that’s all. It’s not a swim up pool bar. It’s a walk up.
Kelli 13:43
But still, to have a pool bar in the tower, like, you know, 10 stories up or whatever, that seems unique.
Chris 13:49
It would be unique little bit inefficient, too, if you’re hanging out at the pool. That’s what I was trying to figure out. No, no. This is just out front of the tower. Okay, between the tower and 17 lagoon castle in the distance and have yourself drink and eat. They’ll also have a Moana voice splash area. The tower addition will include a new fitness center and pool area offering both aquatic fun and a relaxing escape. The new Cove pool has a courtyard with a sandy beach, a whirlpool spot and magnificent views of the lagoon, little ones can discover moanas voyage, a new splash area with a figure of Moana and her iconic outward canoe.
Kelli 14:28
That’s awesome, because the poly already had a really great pool area, yeah, so, but, but it wasn’t a sand bottom. It had a sloped entrance, yeah, but it wasn’t a sand this won’t be a sand
Chris 14:40
bottom pool. It’s just going to have its own sandy beach out front. Oh, just a sandy beach. Okay, that’s my take. Okay, I could be wrong about that. I hope I am wrong, because I enjoy the sand
Kelli 14:49
bottom pool at the Yacht Club, for sure, yeah, for sure. That’s cool thing. It
Chris 14:53
needs a challenger. Yeah,
Kelli 14:55
yeah, that’s nice.
Chris 14:57
Well, I’ll send a note. Do it,
Kelli 14:58
honey? No.
Chris 14:59
All right, maybe you’ve heard, maybe you haven’t, maybe. But on our last episode, I think we said it’s hard to tell, because you were so crazy. At that last episode, we were talking about how we had just about convinced ourselves to go on a Disney cruise, and then, like within the very same sentence, we said, yeah, we’ve convinced ourselves to go on a Disney cruise. Then we posted on the gram, something wonderful had happened. You woke up one morning and you said, I think I’m gonna need for us to book a Disney cruise.
Kelli 15:40
Is that what? I said, yep. Okay, you
Chris 15:42
also said, I think we’re gonna need to book a Disney cruise and go couch shopping.
Kelli 15:47
I think the words that I said were, I have decided, What will get me out of this funk that I’m in? And you said, Okay, what? And I said, I think I need to book a vacation. And you said, I do too. And I said, I think it should be. And at the same time, we set a Disney cruise. And then you’re like, I’m so glad we’re on the same page. Oh, yes. And then within like, 24 hours, it had been booked, and flights bought, got it.
Chris 16:13
I think you did relay that I
Kelli 16:14
did a better reenactment than you did in your reenactment. It was really all my fault. In
Chris 16:20
my head, I like to there’s no fault, by the way. Okay, I just made your wishes come true. That’s how it worked out in my head, okay, all right, that’s cool. So yes, so we are headed on to the Disney, not any old Disney, not any old Disney Cruise, the Disney treasure going on, the one with the Haunted Mansion last literally, was the only, the only check mark that needed to be checked. It was going to Disney Cruise, but it better be one of the ones with the Haunted Mansion party. I
Kelli 16:47
also needed a veranda. You needed a veranda, but they all had that. They don’t all have verandas, but I need you meet all the ships. All the ships have available. Brent, yes, no. I was like, I need a veranda, and I need the Haunted Mansion lounge. We
Chris 16:59
got what literally appears to be the last room on that the last the third or fourth sailing. It launches. Yes, it launches. I think December the 21st we’re going on the sailing, January the 11th, and we are super, super excited. So I thought so, after reading up about what’s, what all happens on a Disney cruise and on the treasure, I thought I would talk about the things I am most looking forward to, because I’ve only been on two cruises. Both were Royal Caribbean or Caribbean, yeah, and they were great. But I you and I
Kelli 17:33
had been on three cruises together. You’ve been on more cruises. I’ve been on more than you have. I mean, I’m definitely very well traveled. I’ve
Chris 17:38
only been on the two, yeah, two Royal Caribbeans, right? Okay, I didn’t realize that. All right, I was there with you both times.
Kelli 17:46
I know, but I just thought we had been on more, no,
Chris 17:48
unfortunately, not. Okay. So this is the new week, and we thought, hey, let’s, let’s, let’s price things out. I think the Disney cruises are about the same now as Royal Caribbean. We wrong. Well, we could be some specific crew could be some other circumstances.
Kelli 18:04
Yes, no, this one was more expensive than your average Royal Caribbean. It’s the fourth sailing of this ship. So yes, it’s at a different price point right now. But in general, you and I have both looked at the prices of Disney cruises, and they are very close to the price point of Royal Caribbean when you start adding in all of all the others. Exactly, right? Because Royal Caribbean still charges you for the dining outside of the main dining room. They charge you for the the water park area at Cook, okay, like all of that is add ons. So in general, they are close this one in particular, it’s the fourth sailing, and it’s not closed. I just really hope the haunted Lounge is included. Yeah, I’m pretty much just gonna be there.
Chris 18:49
I think, I think they’re gonna run you out a few times, but that’s okay. You can go back in. Why would
Kelli 18:54
they make me leave? Why are you being so mean, I don’t think Disney makes you leave. Okay, good.
Chris 19:00
I think that’s how we should think about it, okay, as long as you don’t think you’re gonna be disappointed if that ends up not being true. So here are the things I’m most excited. I think there’s gonna be a line. That’s what I’m saying. There’s gonna be a line there,
Kelli 19:11
I know. But then once you get in, I will stay Okay.
Chris 19:16
I will stay Okay. Gotcha alright,
Kelli 19:18
and I’ll be like, I’ll see you at dinner, honey. I’m gonna be right here in the lounge.
Chris 19:26
Well, we’re very excited about it. Here are some things that I’m excited about. Hey, the sail away party. I cannot wait to hear that funnel horn play When you wish upon a star. That’s cute. They do the whole countdown on the Mickey Tron, or the funnel Tron, or whatever they call it there. Supposedly there are places where you can stand and see the stage, the countdown screen and the doc all at the same time as you leave. And so I’m gonna fight somebody for that spot. Okay, just set the tone right on the first
Kelli 19:58
or you if you. D me up there, honey. I mean, I I’ve been known to elbow people.
Chris 20:03
Yes, you have. I had to carry you out of a football stadium. So fired up,
Kelli 20:07
she was in my face constantly. I don’t care that she was 82
Chris 20:14
go right on, confirm that I had to carry you out of a
Kelli 20:16
football she was trying to get into my area.
Chris 20:19
I know, honey. I know you know what’s funny. What’s funny is that’s not the one I was talking about, but you’re right. Basically had to carry you out of that one too. She
Kelli 20:32
was in my area. We had a sign seating, and she wasn’t following it, and she kept getting in my area. And I was like, to
Chris 20:41
elbow? Momo, yeah,
Kelli 20:44
she could have to handle this, because I’m about
Chris 20:46
to elbow. Get you out of there for at least the second time in our football going careers together. I personally am always just mesmerized by the open ocean and sailing, so just sitting on the veranda or the open deck during day and night are very exciting to me. I remember cruising by Cuba on our last cruise and seeing those lights in the distance. I’m just so excited to try to experience that again. I just, I just love sitting on the veranda with the open sea there I
Kelli 21:17
can see that. I bet verandas are better on Disney cruise ships. You can be eating a Disney ice cream cone.
Chris 21:22
We’re gonna get to that for sure, the new Moana show. Apparently, the puppetry in this show is completely mind blowing. Teka is is giant as giant, huge puppetry thing, and transforms from teka into Te Fiti right in front of your eyes. Oh yeah. And I can already tell you that my eyes are gonna get a little bit Misty when Mama Talas manta ray goes flying out above the crowd. It’s supposed to be truly that’s awesome, crazy. But then there’s some other great shows also, I think Beauty and the Beast will be playing as a live show. There
fireworks at sea. Yeah, this is something my eyes are just super, super excited to see. I’ve heard this is amazing. This is not something that’s done on the other cruises that we’ve been on. I am excited to see the fireworks at sea. Apparently, that usually happens on Pirate Night.
Kelli 22:28
Oh, yeah,
Chris 22:29
you want to, and I can’t get you to buy into dressing like a pirate on Pirate Night. Yeah, we got, we got the Halloween spirit store that just opened up. Now’s the time we go. We go get some jam up pirate costumes.
Kelli 22:41
I think I would rather be a haunted mansion person. Do I have to be? But it’s,
Chris 22:46
but it’s Pirate Night.
Kelli 22:48
It’s not just dress up night, right? It’s
Chris 22:49
Pirate Night.
Kelli 22:50
Okay,
Chris 22:52
dress up like a ghostly pirate. That’s what you all did.
Kelli 22:58
Maybe I beat the dog, the dog with the keys.
Chris 23:01
Okay, you just walk around with keys, and I just whistle at you all day. Okay? Hooks Barbary, so it’s a barbershop that totes wanting to get my hair cut there, but it’s also a speakeasy where they make custom crafted old fashions, and you choose whatever bourbon you want and whatever you know, cherry or orange or whatever, and bitters and but they and it’s a slow, crafted cocktail process you learn all about it. Cannot wait for that. Yeah,
Kelli 23:39
and that’s boys only. Probably
Chris 23:41
it ought to be, I don’t think so. I think, I think they let the girls drink the old fashions too. Gosh, a trip to the spa, since the spa is on board, very much down with that. I think probably today that we’re at Cozumel, I’m gonna hit the spa.
Kelli 23:58
Yeah, I am definitely known for not getting off the ship at ports.
Chris 24:03
Yeah, it’s the best time to be on the ship, the lounges, obviously the Haunted Mansion parlor, the skipper society, which I’m very excited about. This is Skipper canteen themed.
Kelli 24:17
I will leave the Haunted Mansion lounge to go over to the skipper canteen things. Oh, I’ll also go to the scat cat thing.
Chris 24:25
Okay? Scat cat lounge, based off of the Arista cats.
Kelli 24:29
I’ll do those. And I’ll also go to all the dinners. Thanks, hon. Welcome. Welcome
Chris 24:34
the Aqua mouse. This is the not just an onboard Water coaster, but an immersive story too. It came meaning starring in The Curse of the golden egg included. That’s included, no paying extra for this. No no extra for this. This is included all the dining Of course, super pumped about Plaza de coco in particular, all day crab legs at the buffet. Very excited about that. Today,
Kelli 25:00
crab legs. Yeah, me too.
Chris 25:01
I know you are Gosh. You
Kelli 25:03
don’t want all your
Chris 25:04
legitimately excited about this free room service at all times. Yeah, no, I do. This is huge. This is way huger
Kelli 25:12
than right? Royal Caribbean says that. But in reality, you’re still paying like eight to
Chris 25:17
$9 for the for the service, right? This is not and I think I told you that I was probably ordering a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar. Confessional here. I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar in the park, but I’m having, I’m ordering one every day of that cruise, just because I can you
Kelli 25:37
know that your music has played and you’ve been escorted out of your segment by the by the notes. Just want to make sure we’re clear on that, because you appear to still be talking.
Chris 25:48
I yeah, I am still talking, by the way, that you can also pay for a private cabana on the island. I had my note here is a private cabana in our future. Then I looked at the prices, and it’s not. No,
Kelli 25:59
I could have told you anything with the word private. It’s not gonna be our future, except for a private state room. So I it’s a hard turn here. Okay, hard turn. This past week was National Dog Day. It’s one of my favorite days on the socials, because everybody just post pictures of their dogs. Now, I’m not on a lot of the socials, but when I am there, it’s for dogs and sunshine. Sure, that’s right. So I love National Dog Day. Well, in honor of that, I thought I’m gonna talk about the top 10 Disney dogs, and these are gonna be like, what I think are my top 10 Disney dogs. So guess I think we’ve already had this conversation, 517 540 there are 540 total dogs in the cannon now. This includes coyotes, foxes, jackals and wolves, and this is in all Disney films and television shows, all right, okay, so we all know what I’m gonna call the Big Five. Okay? Goofy, oh yeller was probably yes, yes. Goofy Pluto Max goof, right? All the Dalmatians and Doug. Okay, I think if you say name some Disney dogs, that’s the dogs you’re gonna get. Okay, okay, so I’m gonna give you the top top 10, and I’m gonna explain why they’re the top 10. All right. So these are in no particular order, right? But the first one I put down is Doug. Right? Doug from up. Okay, love Doug in the top
Chris 27:23
10 out of 540 Doug’s in the top 10. He can talk, it’s fair.
Kelli 27:28
He can talk and goofy. He loves unconditionally. He says, My name is Doug. I have just met you, and I love you. I mean, come on. How is he not in your top 10. His devotion to Carl, after Carl rescues him from the mean man, is just precious. I love Doug so much. And then he loves Russell. I just love him. I love
Chris 27:52
he even loves those mean Dobermans, right?
Kelli 27:55
Doug is just so loving, so loving. Okay, next, Dante from Coco. Okay. Now, Dante is a short showloits King today dog. They call him show lows for short. Okay, good.
Chris 28:15
Let’s do that.
Kelli 28:17
It’s a hairless Mexican dog, extremely loyal to Miguel. He appears goofy and simple minded, but he’s really smarter than he looks. And towards the end of the film spoilers, he reveals his true nature as a spirit guide. He gets his wings, and he ends up saving the day. I love Dante so much. I think he’s just precious, and we’re gonna call him a show low. Okay. Okay. Okay, next up dog pool. Now, if you haven’t seen the new Deadpool movie, oh, man, then I’ll tell you, this does have a little bit of a spoiler in it, but so he is a variant of Deadpool. That’s a dog he’s owned by nice pool until nice pool dies, and then he belongs to Deadpool. He’s only the second animal variant of a character in the Marvel Universe. I
Chris 29:11
know the other one. Okay. What is it? Was Loki the alligator. Alligator?
Kelli 29:14
Loki, yes. He’s also known as Mary puppins. He wears goggles and a full on Deadpool suit, and he has the ability to protect Wolverine just by existing. I’m not gonna ruin that scene for anyone, okay, but there’s a part in the movie where Wolverine is carrying dog pool, and all the action shots stops just to protect Wolverine. Dog pool is amazing. I love dog pool. Okay, next up Max, from The Little Mermaid. Max is very underrated, okay, but let’s just be clear, without Max Dumble, Eric never would have found Ariel, and they wouldn’t be together.
Chris 29:55
That’s good point.
Kelli 29:56
That is 100% a good point, because Eric is stupid. He’s totally dumb. And Max had to point Ariel out multiple times to be like, Eric, hello. This is the one. This is the one. He’s an old English sheep dog, which I’ve always wanted because of the floof. I love the floof. Oh my gosh. The floof is so floof. I would love an old English sheep dog. He also has get this, honey, the occasional Meet and Greet at Tokyo, Disney, sea. What I know I’m pretty excited about that. Okay, so Max, Okay, next up, Goofy. Goofy had to be on the list. All right. His full name. Do you know his full name? Goofy goof. Okay, so his full name is goofy, goof.
Chris 30:43
I was probably overthinking.
Kelli 30:46
He is described by Walt as a modest, unassuming fellow, one who’s never let fame go to his head. And I will say that is exactly how he is in dreamlike Valley. He really does not let fame go to his head. He is an anthropomorphic dog who is characterized as being clumsy and slow witted but with a good natured disposition, along with his misfit garments and rumpled hat, Goofy’s defining characteristic is arguably his signature goof, all enunciated as I yuck. I also love that he is in love with Clarabelle, the cow. I always say, I think that’s really cute. I think it’s precious. I think that would make a cute cause I used to think goofy was a cow for that reason. Oh my gosh. Okay, sometimes, Honey, don’t say things. Okay. Next up is dog on Pirates of the Caribbean, who is officially named, okay, prison dog. Okay,
Chris 31:44
wow, you just really to beat number five or whatever
Kelli 31:47
on the list. Okay, no, this. We’re gonna go deep here. Okay. Prison dog was a canine owned by Captain Edward Teague, oh, Blackbeard, yeah. Through unknown circumstances, the dog ended up in Port Royal, where he was employed to hold on to the jailer’s keys at the fort Charles prison in Port Royal, he was highly loyal to the jailer, and was not swayed by prisoners’ attempts to steal the keys, except for Captain Jack Sparrow, who almost succeeded, though he was ultimately lured away from his post by pintel, who escaped the jail with regetti. The dog was usually referred to as dog with the keys, and was once called Poochie by pintel around the war against piracy, the dog became the chief of the pelagostos, which was shortly lived as he escaped and returned to his original master. He’s got a great he’s got a great story, fantastic story. Okay, next up, tramp, okay, I’m a huge fan of tramp. Yeah, he’s a stray, which I love strays, and he’s kind of a mutt, which I also love that. But he’s also a playboy. He’s very like devil may care. And he’s challenged by pampered cocker spaniel named Lady with whom he eventually falls in love. Spoilers, if y’all don’t know that story, the two eventually get married and become the parents of four puppies. I love that he’s a mutt. Those are my faves. At one point, they considered calling him Homer rags or Bozo, oh, but Walt insisted that he be called tramp on the Disney wiki. His home is listed as the streets, which I think is from the streets, okay. Next up, Slinky Dog, also known as slinky or slink, he is the best dog themed coaster at Disney. Okay. Hands down, he’s the best dog themed coaster at Disney. Dog theme coasters are there? Goofy has a dog themed coaster over in the kids like circus area. I’m gonna give it to you. Okay, slinky acts very much like an actual dog. Okay, he’s nice, he’s playful. He likes to be petted. He growls or barks at something he doesn’t like. He hides when he’s afraid, and he’s very loyal to Woody, who is shown to reciprocate his feelings and is often seen petting him, comforting him and playing checkers with him. I love Slinky Dog. Okay, last 200 is Jack skellington’s Ghost Dog in the Nightmare Before Christmas. Now, despite his ghostly form, he acts very much like a normal dog. His favorite activity is fetching the bones pulled from Jack’s skeletal body. Okay? Now, zero’s primary concern is Jack’s happiness, despite his reservations with the Christmas ordeal, zero aided Jack with overtaking the holiday with the hope of helping the latter live out his dream. He did, however, try to steer Jack in the right direction by reminding him of his true purpose, doing so by showing a portrait depicting jack with a pumpkin. Okay, so again, super loyal, but tried to keep jack on point and sort of hero, low key hero, yes, yes. I love zero. Okay, and last but most definitely. Me, not least, pongo Pluto, didn’t make your top 10 list at all, not I’m sorry. Pongo is okay, pongo, that is my favorite Halloween character that you’ve been. I really loved you as pongo. I thought you were super sweet and really adorable as pongo. That’s nice, and I kind of liked being Cruella de Vil, to be honest. He’s the pet of Roger Radcliffe and the mate of Perdita, the biological father of 15 Dalmatian puppies, as well as the adoptive father of 84 others. Okay, extremely loyal. Actually took note of Roger’s loneliness as a songwriting bachelor, making it his mission to find a good friend and suitable companion with this pongo is the reason Roger and his wife, Anita, actually came together. Wow. So as you can see here, a lot of the dogs that I love in Disney have this ability to, like, protect their master, but also help their master, sort of find a mate to become a better human, just be better, be better, be more fulfilled, right? Okay. And so I think those, those dogs with, like, deeper storylines,
Chris 36:12
I mean, Goofy is sort of his own master, right,
Kelli 36:15
although I think he’s, or is it Pluto, that’s Mickey’s dog, exactly. Yeah, yeah. So Pluto wasn’t on my list. Yeah, sorry. So sorry.
Chris 36:28
We love you.
Kelli 36:29
Pluto’s is Pluto. Pluto’s not even in the dream light Valley. I don’t think maybe he is. Gosh, if he is, I’m so sorry, Pluto, but I’ve seen him think he is.
Unknown Speaker 36:40
He’s, one of the Fab Five. Sorry,
Kelli 36:44
is he a Fab Five?
Chris 36:45
