Hey, everybody. Welcome to another episode of the supercalifragilistic awesome Disney podcast. I’m Kelli.

Chris  0:12
And I’m Chris. And on today’s show, we’re going to be talking about the top five ways to celebrate in July the fourth at Walt Disney World. It’s that time of year, so you got to know how to do it.

Kelli  0:23
First of all, you need to make a plan. This is NASA level coordination here we’re talking about. Okay, multiple Excel spreadsheets. You need to make sure you’re going to hydrate. This is Florida. In July.

Chris  0:38
Hot, baby.

Kelli  0:39
Oppressive heat. It is going to be like walking through butter, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. In addition to that, make a plan for patience. This could include ice cream, or chocolate or extra churros and popcorn, whatever that takes to make you patient. Make that happen.

Chris  0:57
Okay, so number five, a patriotic meal. One of the best places to eat in the Magic Kingdom is the Liberty tree tavern. They’ve got a meal there called the Patriots platter. You’re talking roasted turkey. Oven roasted pork. You’re talking mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Ooey gooey toffee cake. It’s an amazing, very patriotic meal served in a 1700 style colonial environment. It feels very American.

Kelli  1:30
It really does. And if you’re a vegan American, then I highly recommend the vegan meat loaf at Liberty tree tavern. So everybody else is going to be eating in family style dining. And you’re gonna get your own plate which is great. And so it’s going to be the vegan meatloaf everybody’s going to be jealous that vegan meat loaf is to die for this is a vegan plate, you also get mashed potatoes no butter, no cream, they’re still amazing. Yeah, Liberty tree Tavern all the way for patriotic meal.

Chris  1:57
Yeah, a pro tip here Liberty tree Tavern shares a kitchen I believe with Skipper canteen. If there’s something on the skipper canteen menu that you really like, but your folks are eating at liberty tree, ask for something. Maybe you get it. Maybe you don’t. But it doesn’t hurt to ask.

Kelli  2:12
Never hurts to ask. Number four. Park hop from the Magic Kingdom over to Epcot and get pictures with the characters at the American adventure Pavilion. They’ll be dressed in the spirit of 76 costumes, which really only happens like once a year. So you’re talking the Fab Five over there in their spirit of 76 costumes. This is an amazing opportunity for a photo and I never miss an opportunity for photo.

Chris  2:39
Number three, the hall of presidents at Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. This is a super patriotic show that talks about American history of course, and you get introduced to animatronic figures of all the US presidents but you know if that’s not your jam, then go there for a nap is air conditioned. It’s comfy. It’s a nice 20 minute rest it from the heat because it is July the fourth in Florida. If you’re lucky, outside in the Plaza in front of Hall of Presidents. You might get to see great moments in US history by the Muppets hosted by Sam Eagle. That’s right. So above the marquee. Oftentimes you can see the Muppets and they may be reenacting the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere or the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Who doesn’t love them?

Kelli  3:32
It’s number two. fireworks. What is July the fourth without fireworks? And who does fireworks better than Disney? Nobody. Exactly. So you’re at Disney you must do the fireworks no Magic Kingdom has a special firework show just for July the fourth. And in years past Epcot has actually tagged their traditional firework show with a little July 4 magic at the end. Either way, you can’t go wrong. Watch the fireworks at Disney.

Chris  4:00
Number one voices of liberty at the American adventure pavilion at Epcot. This is absolutely our top must do if you do nothing else on july fourth at Walt Disney World, nothing brings the pride of being an American while listening to these talented singers do what they do.

Kelli  4:20
It’s amazing and if you’ve never seen the voices of liberty, then it’s a great day to do it. If you have seen it the note it’s totally different show and it is really something amazing so don’t miss out on the voices of liberty on July 4.

Chris  4:34
