Welcome aboard Disney fam Hello out there Disney fam. My name is Chris and I’m Kelly and we wish you a Happy Easter. If you celebrate that sort of thing. We are thrilled to wish you a happy Ramadan if you celebrate that kind of thing. Passover and Passover. If you’re celebrating the holidays then good for you. Good for you. We love you for it and happy to be back on the show this week. You’re wearing your Pixar ball ears

Kelli 1:00
I am because I’m talking about a very specific Pixar character and Pixar movie. And so my Pixar ball

Chris 1:07
ear Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Like, like they

Kelli 1:10
were the really the closest thing I had to that movie or care. Okay,

Chris 1:14
I’m excited about I can’t wait to hear what you’re gonna go. How are you gonna

Kelli 1:18
take that? Oh, hey, honey. Did anybody listen to us this week? Westland

Chris 1:21
Michigan people did. They are west of Detroit, little tiny town. They’re just just 16 miles west of Detroit. We’re

Kelli 1:28
huge in Michigan. We

Chris 1:29
are huge. There. We are. So Michigan town every every week, Detroit in particular and there’s suburbs. cannot get enough of us. Awesome. Clifton, New Jersey, which is just west northwest of Manhattan. Just run across the river there. Providence, Utah, which is outside of Logan, Utah, which is right between Bear Lake and the Great Salt Lake. Okay, cool. Yep. And superset I don’t think we ever named anybody, any town in this country before? I don’t think possible. You tell me Sollentuna Sweden,

Kelli 2:02
Solon tuna. Are we sure that’s how it’s pronounced. I

Chris 2:06
literally went to a pronunciation guide. And that is how it’s pronounced. So in tune in Sweden,

Kelli 2:11
I can guarantee I don’t believe I’ve ever heard that. So I don’t Well, not that town. But I can’t

Chris 2:15
remember if we’ve ever named a Swedish town before. They’re right outside of Stockholm, right down the Baltic Sea.

Kelli 2:21
Beautiful little place. Welcome. Sweet.

Chris 2:23
I’m sure they’re very happy. They’re all there’s all the Scandinavian countries are so happy. You want to know what’s going on in the world. I do play in the world of Disney. So after Ron DeSantis was humiliated because Disney plays chess instead of checkers. As we talked about last week, he declared that there will be more punishment stemming from their audacity to defy him. He didn’t use those exact words, but he used some pretty inflammatory words. Buckle up, Disney better buckle up. Make no mistake, we will win on every issue. This sort of talk. So looking to punish Disney guests and cast members with additional hotel taxes local toll roads, they’ve also helped

Kelli 3:12
why would why would you want to punish guests and cast members. That’s what I don’t get as

Chris 3:17
though because it’s gonna make us all hate Disney. And he also acts like Disney World is Disney. Disney World is a series of theme parks and Florida. Disney is a multi conglomerate media network. He doesn’t know that. That’s smart. So in any case, yeah. And then I think he’s also officially requested a criminal investigation into the agreement that they made with the former board. Even though they they literally had all

Kelli 3:51
the meetings ceremony on that. Yeah.

Chris 3:55
There to be clear this level of retribution against the largest employer in Florida. And such a huge driver of the Central Florida economy is not pro business and not considered particularly conservative either. This is there is a name though, for using the power of the government to punish those who disagree with you, but we won’t go there. During Disney’s annual meeting, Iger took a strong Bob Iger took a very strong stance against DeSantis. stating a year ago, the company took a position against pending Florida legislation. And while the company may not have handled the position that they took very well, I’ll say a company has a right to the freedom of speech just like individuals do. Yes, obviously, in taking that position, Ron DeSantis got very angry against the position that Disney took and it seems like he has decided to retaliate against us, including the naming of a new board to oversee the property of the business, in effect to seek punishment. As a company to see punishing a company for its exercise of a constitutional right, that just seems wrong to me against any company or individual but especially against a company that means so much to the state you live in, right?

Kelli 5:12
It makes no sense and nobody is behind him on this.

Chris 5:16
No, this is this is all pretty dumb. And just speaks to just purely the thin skinned nature of the man and the willingness to shift your ideals to win an argument. At that same annual meeting, by the way, happier subject. Iger announced $17 billion worth of investment into Walt Disney World, which will create 13,000 new jobs over the next decade. Yeah, let’s piss those people off. Right, right. $17 billion in investment, which, by the way, is very exciting. When you consider some of the things they’ve hinted at in the past. I’m thinking about all that space, they’re behind big thunder. I’m thinking about the casita somewhere. Yeah,

Kelli 6:07
none of that makes any sense at all. So

Chris 6:11
Walt Disney World will resume annual pass holder sales on April the 20th, the incredible pass $1,399 But that one has no blackout dates. It’s also the only one that’s that’s available to people that live outside of Florida. It’s the incredible pass the incredible pass. Yes. $1,400. The next one down is the sorcerer’s pass. This is $969 it’s available to Florida residents and DVC owners. DVC owners can actually buy this starting April 13. So a week earlier. Okay. That’s cool. Yeah, and this one is, does have blackout dates, but they’re effectively the four days around Thanksgiving and the two weeks surrounding Christmas and New Years. Those are the only blackout dates that you can’t get a reservation. Okay. Pirate pass is $749 for residents only some additional blackout dates beyond just the holidays that I mentioned. And then they’ve got the pixie dust past $399 Florida residents only and this is basically weekday availability. Okay. So if you’re you know, you want to go to Disney World on Monday through Friday. Yeah, absolutely. Now they have upgraded the mobile order navigation on the My Disney Experience app. And it is it is much easier to use actually, they did a really great job with with this navigation. I just bring this up also to say the mobile order is an absolutely good way to go. When you are in the park. It is the way to get absolutely a a stellar option or countersuit. 100% Yep. It’s so hard to find seating. So go find your seat, then place your order it’s

Kelli 7:56
or place your order and then look for your seat for the next one.

Chris 8:01
Exactly. That’s right. Yeah. Speaking of Genie plus the thing that people just love to complain about, Gosh, earlier this week, it’s sold out in record time despite reaching the highest charge ever for Genie plus 35 bucks a day that Tron opened and sold out in record tough course. Like, I mean it just is what it is prized by this it is what it is frankly

Kelli 8:29
like Disney is not the first theme park to do something like this. Certainly not.

Chris 8:36
But you know and I get I get why people get upset about it. But they’re the parks are killing it right

Kelli 8:42
now. Disney is not nonprofit.

Chris 8:46
The journey of water inspired by malata marijuana

Kelli 8:49
marijuana which you

Chris 8:52
know, water continues to progress still slated to open up later this year in the fall I think But water is officially flowing through the trash Hey, nice water is flowing and they’ve installed some educational signage. All right, that’s fantastic. Going to be about Disney did get right to work tearing down the harmonious barges the very next day after the last showing of erroneous Epcot forever, immediately took the place of harmonious the very next night. That is one of the things that impressed blows me away. recive they they’re like yep, The One Show is going to end on this day. And the very next day they start up something. It was the same way for the happily ever after.

Kelli 9:36
Because it makes you think like Where have they been practicing this?

Chris 9:39
I know. I know. Or just it’s also dialed in through computer programming that stuff could happen. I know. We’re talking about paratek

Kelli 9:48
actus. Yes.

Chris 9:52
The they started happily ever after the very next slide after stopping enchantment and Epcot forever now they will start a new show in the fall at Epcot, but they’re very tight lipped on what that’s going to be like. Okay, so that we’ll have something else to look forward to. Yay. But it won’t be harmonious. The cultural representatives are back at the animal kingdom resorts, which is a very cool, that adds to the liveliness of those resorts. So you got musical performers and and experts in the zoological parts of the animal kingdom. Yep, words are not coming easily to me tonight. Struggling. Disneyland has a throwback night. Now this is interesting. This will be on April the 18th and the 20th $129 for the 18th $145 for the 20th. This is a you know, obviously a paid late night type environment. They’re at Disneyland, and it’s called throwback night. So everything sort of gets thrown back to the 50s. Okay, okay. And so with that, along with a lot of special entertainment and special food, they also have some very rare characters available for meet and greet. Such as I mean, everybody you would think you would get to see. Okay, but then also hyacinth, hippo and Mademoiselle up and over. Wow, you know, these people are? No, these are characters from Fantasia, the hippos and the ostriches. Oh, my goodness. Mother and father from Carousel of Progress. Oh, good to meet them. Maybe Maybe that’s where I want to meet. I know. Space couple from Tomorrowland. Apparently when Tomorrowland opened there was a couple that had some very futuristic Jetson looking costumes, regular people inside these costumes. Oh my god, they’re coming back.

Kelli 11:51
So who we’re seeing here are like characters from the 50s? I think so. And then what else? We’re gonna have snacks from the 50s

Chris 11:58
I don’t I don’t know what else something we should look into. This seems

Kelli 12:00
like a very interesting event, and

Chris 12:03
a main character from flight to the Moon or former ride. Mr. Tom Morrow.

Kelli 12:07
Morrow,

Chris 12:09
you’ll get to meet Mr. Tom Morrow, you’ll get to meet your favorite character and I’ll see you tomorrow. Tomorrow. So as we get closer to the release of The Little Mermaid live action movie, we continue to get little nuggets about what to expect for example, Alan Menken this week shared that some of the lyrics for kissed the girl and poor unfortunate souls got an update doesn’t make them less outdated. You know, we don’t want Eric to seem too pushy. And we don’t want we want girls to still recognize that they’re more than just their voice and they need to all speak out of turn. So especially during the poor unfortunate souls number,

Kelli 12:50
yes. Okay. Um, for the so yes. Sounds like needed updates is what it sounds Yes.

Chris 12:56
Halle, Halle Bailey. Is that her name that will play Ariel. She is super, super excited because Ariel wants to pursue these things out of the water for herself, not just because she’s chasing some good for her. So we’re excited about all of

Kelli 13:12
that. Okay, um, for that for sure.

Chris 13:15
Okay, so you’re ready for Tomorrowland? I’m excited about this. Let’s hear it. Okay. So this weekend actually is still ongoing right now in London. Very old London, England. They are we mentioned I was I’m gonna be going in you are going to be going. I think you’ve said something about it. We talked about it. You’re going to spend three weeks there. I feel like I followed by a trip to Paris followed by a trip to Spain. I feel like

Kelli 13:43
we’ve mentioned it. I just can’t quite place my finger on when we might have done that. Well, you might as well. I’m going to London

Chris 13:52
for a long time. Well, right now in London’s started on Friday, and it goes through tomorrow. They’re having the Star Wars Celebration. Lots of panel conversations and announcements about the Star Wars and Lucasfilm universe, and all the fun things that are coming. And so I’ve been following some of my favorite Twitter folks, as they have you know, sort of kept up with all the announcements and whatnot and there there are some really exciting things for those of us who love Star Wars like like me and you.

Kelli 14:23
Oh, yes, I love Star Wars. Yes. I love the Star Wars one character. Luke. It’s pretty late. Yeah,

Chris 14:32
pretty late pretty easily, but, but you know, give you do mando chewy was Mandos real name

Kelli 14:40
Mandalorian. Full Name mando Florian.

Chris 14:50
Gosh, that is so you Jabba the Hutt could go on for days.

Kelli 14:55
I could go on.

Chris 14:57
One job is I

Kelli 14:59
don’t know I think it’s the big green guy. When it looks like Slimer from Ghostbusters.

Chris 15:07
Oh my gosh, gotta stop. You gotta stop. I could, I mean, I could let you go on all day. I think this is great, great podcast fodder, but because I could listen to it. Yeah, so this celebration kicked off over the weekend, chock a block full of panel discussions and announcements, I’m going to talk about the things that I’ve been most excited about, okay. First, three new feature length movies. Okay, that’s a big deal in the stunning, they’ve done so much small screen stuff to fill in the gaps between the big movies. The idea that they’re going to make three new feature length movies. Now these are not all, like, sequential with each other like the previous movies have been. This is more like when we when we made Rogue One and stuck it in between two of the series, right? Okay. So one will be set 15 years into the future and will be set within a within the Jedi Academy of the future. Daisy Ridley will be returning as Ray, she is the one attempting to rebuild the Jedi Order that Luke had tried to rebuild previously. That was a huge announcement of this thing. They they surprised the crowd by bringing Daisy really right out on stage to announce that she was going to be in this movie. We didn’t think that she was coming back. We didn’t know that the next series of movies would have anything to do with her or any of those characters from the last series of movies. Okay. All right. This is 15 years into the future. So it was a big deal a that there weren’t new movies coming at all and that she was going to be starring in one of them. Okay. Two other movies directed by Dave Filoni and James Mangold. mangled is fresh off directing the latest Indiana Jones movie. So it could be a pile of hot garbage but it’ll be fun. And, but he’s going to be directing one of these new Disney these new Star Wars movies. And Dave Filoni, who would John fabro is basically responsible for the Star Wars canon that we know today. They have been creating all of the small screen things Mandalorian. Dave Filoni in particular has been responsible for almost all of the animated work that’s been has revolutionized the Star Wars canon storytelling, Bad Batch, CLONE WARS REBELS resistance Mandalorian tales of the Jedi all of them. All of those. Yes, his new film will be set in the New Republic era. You familiar with that era?

Kelli 17:39
That was a that was like the second trilogy. Right. Am I right? No, I think I’m right. It was like it was the first trilogy but the way they did them, they did them backwards. And so really, it was the second trilogy. Okay, you’re right. That’s right. You’re right. I want you to know, I completely guess. It was just the way you were like, I was like, oh

Chris 18:06
yes, that’s it’s gonna this takes place after as the New Republic tries to rebuild its democracy after the fall of the empire. And so two movies in that time period, I’m totally for it. Okay. Speaking of that time period, we also learned that Return of the Jedi celebrating its 40th anniversary will return to theaters on April the 28th for a limited run. My grandma got me out of school in second grade to go what I said today that it opened. You’ve

Kelli 18:33
told me that about 10 times this week.

Chris 18:38
Tell the podcast people the millions of podcast.

Kelli 18:41
It’s a sweet memory honey,

Chris 18:43
we went to Burger King. The thing I am the most excited about of all the announcements was the new information that dropped about a Ahsoka and I don’t know if this was new information, but it was new information for me. And the really the big game was that they released a new trailer for Ahsoka. This is set to release on Disney plus in August. This will follow a Soca and characters that we grew to love in the Star Wars Rebels. This is the royal way I’m not necessarily talking about you in particular, characters that we grew to love in the Star Wars Rebels series, Hera Syndulla, who’s gonna be played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Sabine Wren preed, the previous wielder of the Darksaber by the way, Sabine Wren, Natasha Lee board de so I’m hoping I’m saying her name right because she’s a perfect casting for this role. So we nerd out a little bit here. There’s a Star Wars book series set roughly during the same time. Known as the throne series. It focuses on Grand Admiral Thrawn and his efforts immediate immediately following the death, the death of Darth Vader, and the death the first death of the Emperor to save the Empire and to consolidate power So, my understanding understanding was that these were going to be the movies that should have been made instead of the array series. But the rebels animated series throng was the main antagonist in that animated series. He was the big baddie, it ended with his ship disappearing into hyperspace along with that series prime protagonist, Ezra Bridger. There’s some there’s some nerds out there like me that are that know exactly what I’m talking about blacked out a little I know. The trailer that previewed during the celebration this weekend. previews the return of throng we actually get a little glimpse of him, and a clear call out to those of us who have read those books. In the throne series, we hear a sucker refer to someone as quote, The Heir to the Empire, which was the title of one of the books. So that automatically got all of my hairs on and I know the rebel series ends with Ahsoka and Sabine vowing to search for Ezra. So I wonder if that’s where this movie, or this series picks up? I don’t know that. Based on the casting, we will see Ezra and Grand Admiral Thrawn. In this series, Ahsoka Hera and Sabine are exactly the kind of characters that Star Wars fans love to love. Oh, yeah,

Kelli 21:19
they are. They do like a so because she has great hair. Okay,

Chris 21:23
and you’re gonna love hair as hair if I mean, it’s not really hair, but you’re gonna love hair. If you’d like to Ahsoka, for that reason you’re gonna love hair. I don’t know that it’s technically hair. But I’m telling you right now, you are gonna love all three of these characters anyway, because they are the epitome of strong, capable women. Okay, and I love that everything I know about this series so far is that sort of revolves around these three women. Okay. We also saw a little clip of chopper that Tara’s little heroic droid, who was so popular in the rebel series, and get this there’s a there’s a in the all the animated series. There’s a droid named who Jung or who Yang, who was responsible for teaching Jedi children. Okay. And throughout the animated series. He’s going to be in this television series, played by David Tennant.

Kelli 22:19
Oh, wow.

Chris 22:21
That’s cool. Yeah, I love that. I love that.

Kelli 22:24
I know David Tennant.

Chris 22:25
I’d say

Kelli 22:26
say you’re bringing it down to my level honey, of course.

Chris 22:29
Okay, so also the acolyte I was not super excited about this until I read this. Leslie headland. She’s the showrunner for this pitched her vision for this show to Lucasfilm as quote frozen meats Kill Bill This is set. This is set during the before the Empire came to power during the Great Republic. We see the dark side at a time when they are outnumbered and the underdog is not the main character but it will feature a a Wookie named kill Naka is the first depiction of a live action wiki Jedi. It’ll be played by the same character that played Chewbacca. That’s gonna be fun. So,

Kelli 23:19
okay,

Chris 23:19
hit me. I see you’re got all kinds of confusion. Chewbacca is a Wookiee Chewbacca is a rookie?

Kelli 23:26
This is a different rookies, a different rookie. play by the same character by the same actor.

Chris 23:32
The actor inside the have a different rookie costume.

Kelli 23:34
I can’t believe that you’re even suggesting that it’s a different than it’s a costume. But in any case, you’re telling me okay, there’s two rookies.

Chris 23:46
There’s way more than two weeks

Kelli 23:48
but in this whatever cannon series, we’re heavy. There’s these two rookies. And the same person is playing both Wookie

Chris 23:56
I don’t think Chewbacca is in this series. I think there’s no I

Kelli 24:01
mean, from from the original Chewbacca to now this Wookie is the same person. Oh, I

Chris 24:07
don’t know that.

Kelli 24:08
That’s what you’re saying. Okay, but then you also said this is the first live action wiki. What does that even supposed to mean?

Chris 24:17
I mean, Chewbacca was live action wiki Jedi.

Kelli 24:20
He’s not he’s not a Jedi.

Chris 24:22
Oh my gosh, there are people whose ears are bleeding right now. The the idea that you would even speak that sentence? No, honey, I’m not even gonna answer that sentence. Chewbacca is not a Jedi.

Kelli 24:42
I thought he was.

Chris 24:44
I thought he was never seen Chewbacca wield a lightsaber. I

Kelli 24:48
didn’t know Jedi had to have lightsabers Greg, who doesn’t have a lightsaber and Weiss light saber. But like the force and whatever. He hasn’t made his yet, but he can use the force and so I thought Chewbacca also forces like force control

Chris 25:04
that would say call it I know is not. Oh, man. Okay. Oh boy. Okay, so the Great segment World Showcase. There are people out there that are just they were riveted on the edge of their seat. I

Kelli 25:23
know and I blacked out for most of it, but I was I was trying really hard to keep up. So I mentioned last week that Disney is really leaning into Earth Day this year, and they’re doing a lot with Wally. I think Wally is the best character in dreamlike Valley because he’s just so pure. And I do love him. If I’m walking around the valley, and I see Wally, like, I will run and speak to him. Like I love Wiley, him and stitch. They just make my day. So I thought I would discuss a why Wally was such a great movie. Yeah. And why we need to be celebrating Wally every April 1 day. I agree. Like this needs to be a regular thing that we lean into, like this is wildly month, and what I mean, so first of all, let me give you a little background Wiley premiered in 2008. Wow, yep. IMDB has it ranked as the best Pixar film.

Chris 26:22
I, weirdly, I think Wiley, you forget that it’s in that family of movies. But when you really start to think about it, it’s

Kelli 26:30
amazing. It’s amazing. It’s amazing. Screen Rant writes him as one of the 10 best non human Disney characters. And I really went down a rabbit hole here today on non human characters. There’s also anthropomorphic characters, and then also quiet characters interesting. And so I was like, is he both nonhuman and quiet? Not technically because he says Eva, and Wally. So technically, he’s kind of like a Groot. Groot is also not a silent character. Interesting. But most of those on that list, I will say were sidekicks. Very few of them. Were the lead man in their own story.

Chris 27:16
See, and Picasso was probably a sidekick. A lot

Kelli 27:20
of sci fi lot of the silent characters are boo, carpet. A lot of the silent characters are Pluto’s a silent character. A lot of them are sidekicks. They’re not the main one. So I think that really distinguishes Wiley in a special way. He while he got top honors for an animated feature film from the Academy Awards, and the global Golden Globes course, grossed over a half billion dollars in 2008. And was number one on Time Magazine’s Best Movies of the decade list. Wow.

Chris 27:55
So yes, movies of the decade, the decade of all movies, not just animated movies.

Kelli 28:02
That’s what number one on Time Magazine’s Best Movies of the decade. Wow. Yeah, it’s a good movie. It’s really great. very underrated. So here’s a one sentence plot summary. Okay. In the distant future, a small waist collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind. Now, I’ll just say like that’s a pretty big,

Chris 28:25
it’s a big endeavor, especially to inadvertently stumble upon it.

Kelli 28:32
Avoid the other websites I’ve failed, described it as this metallic janitor has evolved beyond manmade functionality and has developed feelings, compassion, and an overwhelming sense of loneliness on the futuristic ghost town of planet Earth. A metallic janitor holds so, so precious. I love Wally like, I love this guy. Um, okay, so here’s some things you might not know about Wally. First of all, do you know who voiced Wally? This is a?

Chris 29:06
I do but I can’t remember. I don’t

Kelli 29:08
need to know the actual name. Do you know what else they voiced? This is a fun tie in between our two segments on. Oh, is it? Yeah. Wally was voiced by the guy who played RTD too. Okay, that makes a lot of good. Great. Fantastic. He was inspired by silent films like Charlie Chaplin. Okay, that makes a lot of sense, right? I mean, because you get that there’s like choreography in there.

Chris 29:31
He literally reminds me of like Buster Keaton.

Kelli 29:34
Yes, yes. The movies composer. This is a deep cut here. The movies composer is related to the composer of Wally’s favorite movie. Do you remember his favorite movie?

Chris 29:47
Meet me in St. Louis? No.

Kelli 29:50
One of the coolest bits of Wally trivia comes from the music composer Thomas Newman’s last name should ring a bell. He is in the new Family Film Score dynasty. His cousin is songwriter Randy Newman, and several of his other family members are successful film composers. In Wally, the character’s favorite film is Hello, Dolly.

Chris 30:16
Hello, Dolly. Not Meet Me in St. Louis, which

Kelli 30:19
just so happened to have been composed by Newman’s uncle Lionel Newman. Wow.

Chris 30:25
Wow.

Kelli 30:28
Great. It’s so good. So Wiley’s favorite movie was composed by Lionel Newman. And Wally was composed by Lionel’s nephew, Thomas.

Chris 30:42
Wow. And then Randy Newman has done so many other Pixar movies.

Kelli 30:47
I mean, that’s a deep deep cut. deep deep right there in the family. Yep. Okay. The movies creators deny denied its environmental message. What now? I’m going to say I think they wouldn’t today? Surely not in 2008. I think they were maybe trying to not seem political. But come on. I mean, that’s just a bold faced lie. I both read the quotes, like, there’s nothing about that movie that doesn’t give you an environment. That’s

Chris 31:20
all it is. And I mean, it’s a love story between him and Eve, too. But yeah, otherwise, it’s right. We destroyed the world. We go to space, we get

Kelli 31:29
fat. Yeah. But so I think that’s it. I think they were trying not to be political. But the reality is it has a massive environmental message, which is why it should be celebrated every April Absolutely. Should be almost open as a plant. It should you know how they play like a Christmas story. 24 hours in a row. That’s what the auditor do for Earth Day is just play Wally, 24 hours, every

Chris 31:54
day in April, we should be able to see that Wally, like character in the parks Every Day in April. Yes, yes. After they only get to see right. You only get to see it. It’s very special time. Yes.

Kelli 32:08
So, another bonus question for you. Okay. Do you know what wall li stands for?

Chris 32:14
Waste something. extermination? I don’t know.

Kelli 32:20
Waste allocation load lifter, Earth class. Okay. Yes. I mean, it is His name is a shortened version of Walt Disney. He was named after Walt Disney. So that was a very definite tie in that was recognized from the movie. Okay, so here are five reasons. I think he is always worth celebrating. Okay. I mean, I have just fallen head over heels for this little robot. I mean, when I was reading some of these articles and went back and watch some of the clips from like the best scenes of the movie, I was tearing up i know i Yes. I’ve seen of him and Eve in space. Fire Hydrant

Chris 32:59
define dancing. I think it’s it’s glorious. I

Kelli 33:04
want to cry. I want to cry right now thinking about it. It is I love that robot. They’re not gonna lie to you. Like I think on days when I don’t play dream like Valley. Like is Wally look. Okay, is he okay? This is our homes are kind of near each other. And I want to be like, I wonder if he’s looking for me.

Chris 33:22
That That scene is gotta be the most beautiful marriage of animation, music characters, everything. It’s beautiful.

Kelli 33:32
Okay, so here what? Here’s five reasons. I think he’s always worth celebrating. Number one, he gets excited over the smallest things. This little dude is just full of gratitude plants, interesting trash, a spork, a fire extinguisher, a Rubik’s Cube. He likes to sort things into his little buckets, which you would like and so like the spork can’t go into the fork or the spoon cup. And so he puts it like in the middle. Oh my gosh, so precious, precious. I mean, he just he just lives for the the little the little bits of excitement. And that’s one of the reasons enough. He’s just so pure. Yes. Number two. He’s curious in the most adorable way. Like he doesn’t know what it is as he’s cleaning it up. But he’s like, that looks interesting. So he puts it in his little compartment. And he’s gonna take it back to his little house. And you know, it’s just so stinking cute. It’s just just precious. Number three, he can literally save us from ourselves. And he does right human beings are just wretched trash monsters. Yeah. Have you been to the movie theaters man? Oh, my gosh. People are just disgusting. People are genuinely disgusting. Yep. Wally, literally can save us from ourselves. And I think that’s just so perfect that somebody this pure can solve our trashiness here His level of emotion. This is number four, that he can show with his eyes and his little track wheels. Oh my gosh, it’s too much. And it’s the same way in the game. When I explained to him like what a toaster is, or like, you know, what clothes are things like that he just gets so excited. And this week, he’s really been into flower baskets. He asked me for one every day, that

Chris 35:25
scene at the end where he’s, like, totally rebooted and you think he’s not gonna come back? And then you can like there’s nothing there’s no life behind those lies. And then suddenly, there is

Kelli 35:37
and so number one reason that I love Wally. He loves musicals. I mean, I think it says a lot about a person, whether or not they love musicals. And I think it shows his true heart and

Chris 35:54
not just that he desperately wanted Eve to see the musical until I get it. Right he started dancing it for her sweet he really is. is maybe the most perfect Disney Pixar he’s definitely the most perfect Pixar with my

Kelli 36:12
whole heart I love this robot so much

Chris 36:16
I may just watch that dancing scene in Spanish.

Kelli 36:20
I almost cried earlier when I was putting my segments so

Chris 36:23
yeah they should they should make Wally much more accessible in the parks. The only time I ever really hear of him coming out a they do they bring him out for those cast member nights when they’re celebrating the cast

Kelli 36:35
new little this water and land and all that feature or

Chris 36:39
they could they could put him in the area with it Hollywood Studios whether they’re going to have more Pixar characters to meet or like you know an April for Earth Day make Wally put him in Tomorrowland all the time. Yep, I’m for that man. He’s he is he’s adorbs

Kelli 36:57
You haven’t even seen him in dreamlike Valley.

Chris 36:59
Are you showing him to me but I don’t get to see him all the time. And like you said He’s pure. Folks. That’s it. Speaking of pure and sweet and precious, that’s all for this week’s show.
