Episode Transcript:

Chris 0:27
Welcome aboard Disney fam. Welcome aboard Disney fam. Indeed. My name is Chris. And

Kelli 0:36
I’m Kelly.

Chris 0:36
And we are going on eight days having been home from Disney and it is so very sad. But we’re bringing a little bit to you today. Kelly’s wearing her waffle ears.

Kelli 0:51
I am and I did a story on these while we were there at Disney. Because the little pat of butter that smells like butter has like a drip that sort of pokes you right in the head.

Chris 1:02
The butter smelled like syrup.

Kelli 1:03
Oh, you know, I’m not quite sure what it’s supposed to smell says it’s supposed to smell like syrup. Okay, well, in any case, there’s a little pat of butter in the middle of them their lounge flight years and the little drip of butter puts you right in the head and you put them on. I’ve had to do some adjustments to that. But they’re cute. I like these. I got I got a lot of compliments off the waffle years pretty popular in the park. Yeah, I thought so too.

Chris 1:28
Hey, so my favorite thing is seeing where people download the podcast from. And this week we saw Malvern, Pennsylvania. Okay is 3000 for almost 3000 folks. 25 miles west of Philly. Okay. Born and raised in Sandy, Utah. Okay, all right. That’s just one person. sanely in Utah and Utah. Okay. No, it’s It’s actually part of the Salt Lake City metro area just south of Salt Lake City. Lots of folks live in Sandy. Cute. I don’t know how to say this one. Civello chipolo Okay. Just northeast of San Antonio. In fact, it is home of the San Antonio raceway. Okay, so, and here we go. Or mais la Ra. No, that’s in France. It is. Or mais la re France just outside of earlyon Okay, cool. Yeah, we are huge in France. France. So you know, you got anything you ready to go? Alright, here we go. So the festival the arts launched on Friday 14th Lots of cool things at festival the arts. The you know, those they call them progress walls, but the normal person would call them construction walls and Oliver.

Kelli 2:58
Right. And

Chris 2:59
when we were there just a just a few days ago, they had like, characters, you know, and sounds basic. It wasn’t necessarily stuff. They have been updated with artwork from Disney Imagineers like this is really cool. A lot of cool artwork out there. There’s some exclusive Passholder stuff there’s a lot of festival of the arts merch, especially some some like Jersey shirts and hoodies and things of that nature. And it’s all the same sort of theme. It’s like It’s like paint by number type designs. Okay, yeah, on the clothes. There’s also a couple of Passholder exclusive like T shirt hoodies and things like that. Okay kid is cool, too. Maybe you’ve heard about the figment popcorn bucket.

Kelli 3:48
I haven’t Is it a is it have they launched it

Chris 3:52
you know if you followed any social media over the last 24 hours because we’re recording on a Saturday they had a six and a half hour line that’s insane did just did just strung its way out through the

Kelli 4:07
Oh my goodness. I miss such a wonderful opportunity to wear my figment ears this week. You did you really? Oh my goodness. What an epic fail he did. But I’ll just say I love figment. I’m a massive figment fan always have love figment. I think he’s very marginalized, and underused as a character and underappreciated festival. The Arts has really embraced him here lightly Yes, few years, but as well, in a half hour. Well, here’s my popcorn. Here’s

Chris 4:34
what I think that some people have made this point online. And I think they’re right. If nothing else, this shows that there needs to be some investment made into the journey into imagination. Attraction. Yeah, because that’s the only place figment is yes, in the whole Disney universe. Let’s again but people love him. Six and a half hour As for his bucket, now the buckets really cute,

Kelli 5:02
the buckets adorable, but most of them didn’t even get the popcorn. Like they just got the bucket. I mean, what about people who actually wanted popcorn that day?

Chris 5:12
So they’re doing the figments brush with the master scavenger hunt again this year, so they like put figma into classic masterpieces so they recreate some classic painting masterpieces and put figment into them in some way. So you can find him all over the different worlds in World Showcase. And then win a prize. I’m sure there’s even a tribute to the Maelstrom ride. Oh, gosh, one bit of art. Wow. There is at the art of Disney Store at the American adventure. There’s a $7,000 painting of Jessica Rabbit. Her dress is covered in 200 Swarovski crystals. And the whole painting is set inside of a neon frame. It’s a really cool painting. Is

Kelli 6:02
it life size?

Chris 6:03
I mean, it’s been $7,000 Man it’s it’s something it’s pretty

Kelli 6:07
mean it’s one of those things where like, if you haven’t a tough week, just pick off a crystal and go take it to the pawn shop and meet it. You

Chris 6:13
still got the bank? Feigning the situation Yeah. Um, so D 23. exponent is also was announced it’s going to be in I think September or August. This year. Out in Anaheim at the convention center. ticket pricing was announced. Gold members D 23. Gold members. One day, adult pricing is $89 child pricing a 79. Three day pass for Gold members is 229 Gold members. That’s funny. Three day passes are which is the whole event are 229 for adult 209 for child general members, it’s $99 for an adult for one day still 79 for child, three day is 279 for adult 209 still for a child, they are offering this those special Hall D 23. Preferred seating option where you get preferred seating in the events Hall and then a whole bunch of other things. Lightning line. Its effect. It’s effectively $900 For this ticket.

Kelli 7:16
Oh my goodness.

Chris 7:18
Yes.

Kelli 7:18
It is a lightning line.

Chris 7:21
Yeah. But one cool thing that will be on display there is Walt’s plane. I think it’s called the Mickey one that he used to fly around in. It has been refurbished and will be on display you can see inside of

Kelli 7:33
it everything. I don’t think I would pay $900 to see that. No, no,

Chris 7:38
that’s you’re gonna see that anyway. That’s not part of the D 20. That’s not special pricing. That’s just going to be at the event. Okay. No, that’s not the extra special Park. That is hoof. Tim Allen, what, speaking of dt 23 Expo wherever tickets go on sale, that’s

Kelli 7:54
going to sell out. I know, you said you were gonna go last year or two years ago, I can’t remember which one and you forgot and it was gone.

Chris 8:02
Tim Allen is bringing the Santa Claus back. I saw that he’s producing a short run series for Disney plus, that’s all that production starts in March. Good.

Kelli 8:11
I’m excited about that. But the

Chris 8:13
idea here, I think is that he’s approaching 65 years old. He’s well, I don’t know. We don’t know. In fact, he wants to move his family back into a normal life and turn the Santa Claus gig over to someone else. So we don’t know if it’s his son’s gonna

Kelli 8:29
get over. Yeah, okay. All right. But clearly rebooting series. Oh, rebooting USANA?

Chris 8:36
Maybe. Yeah, maybe so. Yeah. Rumi’s ratatouille adventure, virtual cue in ended this week, I think on the 10th may think so. And so immediately, crazy long standby lines. Crazy. Crazy.

Kelli 8:54
I don’t know if there were six and a half hours of virtual cues. Like I don’t really

Chris 8:58
know, the virtual cue was great. There is no single rider line available for this, which I don’t I’m not really sure why because it sets itself up to be able to support single riders. Yeah,

Kelli 9:08
I don’t know. Sounds weird. There’s a sign for single rider line. When we were there. Somebody asked the cast member and she was like, No, we’re not doing that. Okay, so there is a sign for single rider line launch and launch it? Yeah. Yep.

Chris 9:21
Um, the final Magical Express bus left Walt Disney World this past

Kelli 9:28
week. Okay to take people back. Take people by the airport. It did arrive time out of their lives.

Chris 9:34
Anybody that arrived, you know, on the 31st or earlier who were just left this past week. We’re on that on that bus. Yep. So I

Kelli 9:45
got to take like a seat with a little bit of a cushion or yeah,

Chris 9:48
they should have been able to something like that. Splash Mountain refurb started this week, but not to The Princess and the Frog do I think that’s a big huge tease. It’s never gonna

Kelli 10:00
happen it is going to happen but what are they refurbishing?

Chris 10:02
They don’t they didn’t really say they just said there’s some pressure washing going on and some mechanical maintenance.

Kelli 10:09
Okay, so I think it’s gonna be a big deal to switch it to Princess and the Frog. Yeah. And I don’t know if that’s something you want to do like before summer. Right? We should really do that in like November but then you got the holidays. I don’t know. Is there really a good time? There really? Anything? There’s never a good time to refurbish. Sorry, Disney. I was trying to help. Some

Chris 10:31
openings happening. So the salt and straw ice cream shop will be coming to Disney Springs in March. That’s really great ice cream shop. That’s Downtown Disney out west. Right? The Grand Floridian spa opens on January 26. Okay,

Kelli 10:46
it hadn’t been opened yet. Since COVID. Oh, wow. Grim. flubbed in the spa back. Yeah, that’s a big deal.

Chris 10:52
Yeah. The Olaf meet and greet is returning to Hollywood Studios. This weekend. was not there while we were there. Okay. And they’re still

Kelli 11:00
like a socially distance meet and greet. I think. I mean, he didn’t sign autographs anyways. Just got the two twins. That’s right.

Chris 11:08
That’s right. Oh, boy. Jika. The cooking place opens mid February. The 17th. Turf Club Bar and Grill at Saratoga Springs opens February 3 Flying fish at Boardwalk opens January 27. Okay, Kate may cafe at the beach club opens February 15. And the ale and compass at the Yacht Club opens January 31. Wow.

Kelli 11:27
Just Omicron the damned we are opening it all.

Chris 11:33
Hell with a baby. We are opening all of our restaurants. People are coming. We got to feed

Kelli 11:41
screw open them all up.

Chris 11:44
The people are coming we must feed them. Isn’t say there’s a new trick goes because people will buy anything Disney puts out there’s a new trading card series playing for space 220 trading cards are available with the purchase of any zero proof non alcoholic cocktail or children’s meal. Each card pack contains five cards pulled from a limited series.

Kelli 12:07
What are you supposed to do with them? Trade never really understood the concept of a trading card. No

Chris 12:12
you did not. I don’t know that. Now’s the time to get into just why why people might like trading

Kelli 12:17
people might want a trading card. I never really understood it the keys to that they’re not keys to the kingdom but that kingdom keeper thing that they did in the ark 10s Depends pins you know I get the pins that’s fun and the kingdom keeper thing you were like going around scanning or what have you. But just a card. I went to space to 20 about a non alcoholic beverage will make me late.

Chris 12:38
My love is the baby rhino has finally joined Ranger his brother in on the Herat Bay Wildlife Preserve. M

Kelli 12:46
I L. Y ella in y ella did they name the girl?

Chris 12:50
They have a little bit of news. I think my time’s up. Oh my time has run out. Sorry.

Kelli 12:56
She was sassy.

Chris 12:57
She didn’t like it. Yes, she is sassy but they named her Logan. Oh, okay. Perfect combination. non conforming name it is it but it’s also a perfect combination of Logan’s parents names first time mom Lola and daddy Dugan Logan. Interesting. Yeah. Okay. So that’s cool. There you go.

Kelli 13:19
We see you log in.

Chris 13:20
We do see you logging in. Pretty soon you’ll be out there on that wildlife preserve with Ranger and Milo kicking up dust rolling in the mud. All right, my Tomorrowland segment is gonna be fun. Okay, I wrote the top five things I want to experience most or this year’s festival of the arts, but I actually don’t know if these are just five things. So

Kelli 13:43
you’re calling it the top five things, but it’s potentially more than that. Just a list of things. Things I want to do.

Chris 13:51
Okay, all right, so Okay, let’s have it all right. First thing you have no doubt seeing this on the socials. I love the Muppets rainbow connection song. I love it. I know so much. Yes. And if you look at any of the decor for festival the arts this year, there’s rainbows everywhere, rainbows everywhere. And they have created a beacon of magic show on spaceship Earth. Rainbow with that looks like a rainbow going across spaceship or it’s really pretty the sound of the Muppet singing rainbow connects.

Kelli 14:30
I’ve seen it and it’s beautiful.

Chris 14:32
I’m gonna tell you something. If I ever see that, I could get a little misty

Kelli 14:37
to I could see it I could I know that you would. I could see that coming. I’m just saying it is beautiful. I like what Zach’s done with the beacons on spaceship Earth. I like how versatile they are for all different holidays and what have you and I really appreciate the effort that they put into them for festival they

Chris 14:52
are added to this is also one of those little things that I think about whenever I see the the Disney to Twitter go in, you know bonkers about this is just one more thing they’re taking away and not right you know what this kind of thing it lasts what? 10 minutes maybe. And there’s so much time and effort that goes into making it happen.

Kelli 15:14
Oh yeah. You just can’t make some people happy, right? Honestly, I mean if you’re that kind of person don’t don’t just don’t go to Disney because I’m telling you this is a happiness place this place I got 99 Problems 99 problems that ain’t one of the same one. Disney ain’t one of my problems.

Chris 15:33
There’s a there’s a thing they do at the festival of the arts, which I think is really cool. The chock full of characters artwork that they do everywhere. Yes. Something I would, I’d love to see some of them are like those. You know, play tricks on your mind. Hi, 3d type chalk thing. Some of them are just chalk paintings of figma and there was like a new there’s a new artists doing it this year. I think so. Yeah. And that’s what I saw in the instant I saw a picture which I think is just the coolest thing. There’s a wall in Italy. Where a fountain Yep. Right. And there’s chalk art of Alberta kicking water out of that fountain onto Luca. Luca is wet sideshows. The sea monster Luca, it’s adorable. It is super adorable. And I don’t know that that’s this year, if that’s from previous years, but I think it’s from this year. Yeah. Because the article I saw said that they were headlining the chalk art.

Kelli 16:27
Yeah, no, it’s from this year. And I also saw the person drawing them is like an older lady, which I really appreciate. They said to new artists this year, we’ll see how the 3d drawings come out. And I thought, well, she’s gonna rock it. Why would you doubt that?

Chris 16:41
I don’t know. There’s no doubt. There is no doubt I’ve no doubt. There’s a couple of like interactive elements. They’ve I’ve seen this, you know, we were debating if we’d ever actually been to the festival of the arts. But I am 100% Sure. I saw this paint by numbers mural. If we did,

Kelli 16:58
it was so very early in our relationship, but I forgotten it. I don’t think so. I do honey. It was I don’t think it was recent. We saw over the last year has been such a big blur.

Chris 17:09
I saw people standing at that paint by numbers wall. Yeah, we did you know,

Kelli 17:14
but I think it was just at a time in our life when we were young and carefree. And I don’t remember any, any of that time.

Chris 17:23
Or any of our young and carefree. Happy,

Kelli 17:26
carefree days. I’ve forgotten them all. But you’re right. No, I totally remember that. I

Chris 17:34
think I think the paint by numbers mural is a really cool idea. Yeah, just staying in line, you take your turn, you paint your numbers. And then when it’s all done, there’s this beautiful picture that 1000s of people have helped to produce. I think

Kelli 17:48
you know what, I don’t think we saw it. I think you talked about it happening at the festival last year. And we felt so connected to that moment that it feels like you saw it. No,

Chris 17:57
that’s that is not That’s not it at all. There’s a there’s another booth to considering interactive elements here, where you can actually step into a Van Gogh painting. Oh, I see. So like the Van Gogh’s sunflowers painting there’s, it’s like a it’s like box. It’s like this big box in the in the sunflowers portion of his painting is in the front of the box. And the back of the sunflowers paintings in the back. How can you step in, like you can hear like in the field you’re in, or is that one and I can’t remember but it’s the one of the little cafe, the street side, French Cafe. Okay, he painted and you can be inside that bit of artwork to nice and then obviously, I’m sure there are PhotoPass people there. Just Johnny on the spot ready

Kelli 18:42
to get that picture? Yep.

Chris 18:47
There is a Broadway concert series that they have brought to the festival of the arts that

Kelli 18:52
she I love that so much. I

Chris 18:53
mean, that is a great idea. I

Kelli 18:55
love it so much.

Chris 18:56
Great idea. So you can literally watch Broadway performers live at Epcot at the American gardens theater. The first sort of group is it the first No, they switch these in and out but Ariel Jacobs and Adam Jacobs from Aladdin will be there. Carrie Butler from beating the beast, Telly Leung from Aladdin lots from Aladdin, by the way. Heidi Blucher staff from Freaky Friday and the Little Mermaid Robert Creighton from Frozen. Cara Lindsey and Dan DeLuca from Newsies.

Kelli 19:31
Who is Robert Creighton in frozen?

Chris 19:33
I don’t know. Okay.

Kelli 19:37
You said his name. Like it was, you know, a headliner and

Chris 19:41
probably is and we’re just we’re just completely on cultured and we don’t know. Okay, which is fine.

Kelli 19:47
It’s fine. Go ahead.

Chris 19:52
I say Carolyn Z and Dan DeLuca. From Newsies. Yes, I did. Ashley Brown from Mary Poppins. Okay, Josh strict When from Tarzan which I didn’t know was a Broadway thing see I had no culture around either kiss or you know any of these people by the way. Kizzy Simmons The Lion King, Michael James Scott also from Aladdin, Aladdin, there’s just literally so

Kelli 20:14
are these people from the movies or they’re from the Broadway show? Oh see do you should set that I

Chris 20:22
deliberately said watch Broadway performers live at Epcot

Kelli 20:26
I thought you were listing out people that were in the movies. I was falling in love with that at all. And I was like, these are just a bunch of B listers. I don’t know any of these workers.

Chris 20:36
What do we do in

Kelli 20:43
America

Chris 20:45
these are Broadway performers.

Kelli 20:46
Now they’re great. I’m for them now. So excited about it. What

Chris 20:51
are the first thing I say watch Broadway performers live at Epcot. Like that one code. On February 21, which is the last day of the of the festival. There’s an extended finale featuring Ashley brown. Now that you care about these people, Ashley Brown, Strickland, kissy Simmons and Michael James Scott. kissy kissy kissy Semmens so fun to say. Okay, so just consider like, so I actually do think let’s see, this was 1234. Yeah, we’re on number five, the food and just consider this like a little preview of a bonus episode. That’s going to come out this week. Yeah, I think so. Yeah. And where we will do our virtual tour of the food booths at the festival of the arts this year. Yep. And we’ll talk about all the things we’re gonna just we’re gonna virtually gorge ourselves with food. And, but just as a little like the the thing that I would be the most interested in, in eating. I’ve got to say, and I’ll say this again, on the bonus pod that the artist table booth at the American adventure is about ring in it. But ringing they are absolutely on point. Good for them. I want everything. Okay. They have a beef Wellington. There is nothing finer than beef inside a puff pastry and you do put a little like, red wine sauce on it. They’ve got scholarships, you can make your own surf and turf with this thing. They got sipping chocolate. And if that’s not enough, they’ve got a flight of cream lures that are designed to augment the sipping chocolate.

Kelli 23:01
Your love with that? Cannot y’all can’t see his face. He

Chris 23:04
is verklempt like I’m hearing rainbow connection in my head right now. I am so excited about that one booth. And I’m so sad. I’m not going to get to experience. Yeah,

Kelli 23:16
I can see that for you when you were going to experience virtual we are. We are. So congratulations. About that. Look at that you finished on

Chris 23:25
right on time. No done, uhm short term to do well showcase. Yep.

Kelli 23:30
So I’m going to talk about breakfast at Cinderella’s castle. We we did that this time. First time we’ve ever had breakfast with Cindy. And I really loved it. So I’m going to sort of break down that experience just so you all get more idea about what it’s about. So first of all, they let people into the parks. But you can’t get into the ride area unless you’re staying at one of the specific resorts. 30 minutes ahead, right. So you see these massive like walls of people standing at like one little cast member with a rope. Not going past them until that specific minute. But we had reservations with Cindy and so we were able to just walk right past all those people. So here’s what’s funny. So we walk up to this lady and Chris says we have breakfast reservations with Cindy. And she just about laughs She

Chris 24:22
likes her face. And I didn’t know what was that funny and then then it hit me. I guess maybe not everybody calls it Sandy.

Kelli 24:30
Maybe everybody that caller said so in any case Chris says the lady we’ve got breakfast reservations that Cindy and what she you know, stopped laughing in our faces she led us through. And so we’re walking by and you see this this like wall of people waiting to get into like Liberty Square with two little cast members and a rope. And as we walk past them blue cast members, like have a great breakfast, have a great breakfast and

Chris 24:53
you see all those sad clown faces on the other side of that row.

Kelli 24:56
It’s so petty of me to actually use that As a bullet point and I love that so much it

Chris 25:02
is we’re absolutely worth. I love walking, having our early breakfast and being in any part of the parks without somebody. Yes, I

Kelli 25:09
love that. I love it so much. Okay, so second thing. Cindy’s Castle has beautiful morning light. I mean she is really set up that dining area to have just gorgeous morning light filtering through those windows and I’ve gotta give it to you Cindy. I don’t know what direction that’s facing. But you did a great job building that like however whoever plan that for you didn’t excellent.

Chris 25:34
It was specifically planned that the castle would face a specific direction north or south I can’t remember remember where so that would always have good picture taking like it’s

Kelli 25:44
it’s beautiful. It’s absolutely beautiful. Now you don’t get a photo with Cindy during COVID. But she does come out several times during the meal to sort of curtsy at a distance and wave to the people. And if there are little kids out and about, they can talk to her she’ll talk back and all that stuff. You just can’t really get within, you know a situation where you could give Cindy COVID Because we don’t nobody wants to give Sandy COVID Nobody wants to give Cindy COVID. Now this is $42 per adult and $27 per child.

Chris 26:12
I gotta say that’s a pretty good deal. It’s

Kelli 26:15
a great deal. So this started with a sort of pastry plate and just as a tip, they will bring more so they come and they ask you do you need more pastries and Chris had eaten the ears off of our Mickey blueberry muffins and we wanted to get a picture so he asked and they brought up. So this comes with Mickey shaped blueberry muffin tops, fruit, little mini chocolate croissants and then like regular croissants. Any one of those are all of them, they’ll bring they’re all perfect into life. They are just perfect and delightful. Those little mini chocolate croissants was like a one bite deal and it was just perfection. I

Chris 26:51
had no idea how badly I needed a one bite chocolate croissant.

Kelli 26:54
It was lovely. Now there are six different entrees. The first one is a traditional breakfast so this is scrambled eggs all at one time. Yes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and potatoes. You were gonna get that that would have been an epic fail would have been because I can get that literally anywhere anywhere. I’m sure Cindy puts a little spin on it but you can seriously get that anywhere. I’m so glad you went a different way. The second option is a baked quiche. Now this is goat cheese spinach mushroom quiche with a dollop they actually use the word doll of goat cheese cream served with arugula and roasted bell peppers. I mean, I’ve got to say if I liked eggs that would sound lovely. Yeah, and like everything else that’s in there. It was on my shortlist. Yeah, quiche sometimes like has a really weird like almost a texture texture situation with me. Okay, the third one is Royal avocado toast. This is going to be your multigrain toast with plant based eggs and cheese, avocado, radish and jalapenos. Now I will say I did learn on this trip that I’m not for the plant based eggs. I just don’t like an egg.

Chris 27:55
I don’t think I remember that that dish had plant based. Yeah, I

Kelli 27:59
don’t like an egg and I don’t like a plant based egg. I’m just against eggs all eggs in general and so I did I’m glad I didn’t go with the Royal avocado toast. They also have shrimp and grits. This is gonna be smoked gouda cheese grits tomato jam. A fried egg buttered shrimp and garlic back. I’m

Chris 28:17
old Sandy.

Kelli 28:18
You know Cindy’s bringing that Lee that sounds good. Yes, I know. Cindy knows she’s got somebody in her kitchen that is just doing that right I can feel it. Now the last two is what we got. You got the beef tenderloin and egg. This is potatoes and cheese for Tada with broccolini Borsen cheese sauce and chive oil. Yeah. And I had the caramel apple stuffed French toast which is a decadent french toast stuff with sweet cream cheese and spiced apples drizzled with a caramel sauce and served with bacon. So tell me about your dish so

Chris 28:51
the the the egg frittata had cheese and potatoes in it. It was it was almost more like a souffle. It was a perfect little circle. Perfect Circle about an inch and a half tall.

Kelli 29:06
And four or five inches in diameter. Yes,

Chris 29:08
yes. And it had this Borsen cheese sauce draped over it. That would make my tennis shoes tastes good. It was oh, it was so good. And then on top of that, a perfect little like four ounces of her little boy that I thought they didn’t bring me like a knife to cut the steak with. And I realized very quickly. My butter knife was all that was needed.

Kelli 29:36
So what did you think about the broccolini? You didn’t mention that?

Chris 29:39
I did not mention that. Okay, well, I don’t know anything about it.

Kelli 29:43
Also on your plate, was it it’s in the list here? The broccolini What did you think about my bag?

Chris 29:50
I thought that a I thought the broccoli was just to make the plate look pretty and it did a good job chefs broccolini And I thought your bacon was was delightful. It was crisp, it was perfectly cooked. And it also went great with the Boston cheese. So

Kelli 30:11
I will say to my little Caramel Apple stuff, French toast does not look like french toast. It didn’t like Alo, it was also a perfectly round circle about an inch and a half into circle sort of four to five inches in diameter. I think maybe everything came out of circle. I

Chris 30:24
bet that quiche was a circle.

Kelli 30:25
I think everything was circular. And we just didn’t know it. But so it was a little circular french toast, which I gotta say was was like some combination of bread pudding. Right and apple pie

Chris 30:38
it I don’t think they could have named it 100 Things might have fit it better than French

Kelli 30:43
toast. Yes, I think it was some type of like a bread pudding apple pie. It was delightful. I loved everything about that thing. Now, if you’ve got kiddos, you’ve got some options there too. They can get an egg white for Tada, oatmeal or Mickey waffle or cereal. And all those things. They get to pick two sides. They can get fries, yogurt, fruit, Turkey or pork sausage and bacon. So they got some options there. The drinks that are included coffee soda, hot tea, you had iced tea, right,

Chris 31:12
I did have iced iced tea,

Kelli 31:14
juices, milk and hot cocoa. I didn’t know that right? That’s lovely. Yes, I really liked that Cindy throws in that extra little dash of magic there with the hot cocoa and especially for

Chris 31:25
people who like hot cocoa so that they can feel like they’re drinking coffee even though they hate coffee right?

Kelli 31:29
Now, the drinks that are not included are going to be your Mimosa for $12 Your Sangria for 11, your billini for 11. Or if you’re brilliant like me, you would order the royal breakfast flight of all three, which is $14. I gotta say that was the light it

Chris 31:45
was and they gave you plenty in each class. It was it was so so

Kelli 31:49
perfect. I loved it so much. And then there was something there were like we had prepaid. And so then we got a discount. Oh, because of our annual pass passes. We got the annual pass discount didn’t get that and we prepaid. So they took that off added on my breakfast flight. And I think we ended up I went like $9 That’s right. That was it was lovely. Yeah. Also worth noting, you get almost a free drink if you’re an annual pass holder. Most food places are a lot of food places.

Chris 32:17
It’s really just sort of hit and miss when then you’ll pass or DVC membership discount is going to kick in. So it was really a very pleasant thing to find out that at Cindy’s castle. Right, the discount applied. Yeah,

Kelli 32:29
it was. I mean, what we found out was you just have to ask. But in any case, this is a situation where you might think, Oh, this isn’t like an adult breakfast. Right? This is something you would do for the kiddos or whatever. I’m here to tell you there were more adults in that room than there were kids. Absolutely. It absolutely felt like a really high end breakfast.

Chris 32:50
Yeah, I would say that most of the things on the menu kids aren’t gonna like right

Kelli 32:53
now it’s it’s a very adult breakfast. So the two nights before, we were watching the fireworks and we were next to a couple people who live in the destin area and they were telling us how much they love Disney. They also come just husband and wife and other kids are older. And they were telling us they had just done Sandy’s breakfast that morning. They loved it so much. They recommended the Apple stuff french toast and the flight right? We walk in and there they were again. They came back twice that week. And this time they had two other adults with it. So it was a table of four adults they are having an amazing breakfast with Cindy and I gotta say I really loved it. Yeah, I thought it was a good price a good value. Cindy put on excellent breakfast the kids are not yet screaming at this time of day. So you’re talking lunch or dinner the kids have lost it completely early on

Chris 33:50
you get that early entry into the park you get a little bit of time there to walk through the park a little bit by yourself

Kelli 33:56
I’m gonna highly recommend it kids or no kids I highly recommend breakfast with Cindy Sandy’s breakfast

Chris 34:01
