Chris 0:28
Welcome aboard Disney fam. Hello out there Disney fam. This is Chris and I’m Kelly. Welcome to this week’s show. We’re so excited to have you here. What years you’re

Kelli 0:41
going with the Pixar ball or ball ears? Yeah, I mean, I couldn’t. I really couldn’t. I didn’t have any ears that were topic appropriate. And so I just went with something also from Hollywood Studios.

Chris 0:52
Sure. These are loungefly and I like it’s got the little embroidered detail of

Kelli 0:59
loom lamp.

Chris 1:00
The lamp was kind of named. It’s got a name I don’t know, but these are good years. You know, I hope we get tons of feedback telling us know what the lamps name is. That’s a good here’s, um, so you want to hear we got downloads from you do. This week we had downloads from Xenia, Ohio. Ooh, 15 miles east of Dayton getting its name from the Greek word for hospitality. Wow,

Kelli 1:25
Xenia. Y’all got some stuff going on in Ohio. So I really hope that you hold on to that hospitality card.

Chris 1:34
That’s fair point. Fair point.

Kelli 1:37
Some stuff going on up in there.

Chris 1:41
Bremerton, Washington. This is the largest city on the Kitsap Peninsula. Okay, Bremerton is home to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

Kelli 1:49
kid got their ruggedly manly discovered shipyard.

Chris 1:59
This is interesting. Owens crossroads, Alabama. Cross Roads two words.

Kelli 2:06
Owens cross roads like Oh, chickens crossroads. Yes.

Chris 2:14
It’s a verb. I think it’s a verb. It’s a city with a verb right in the middle of Owens cross roads as opposed to Crossroads crossroads. Yeah. Well, that was an interesting choice to go with Nate and crosswords as to words. They’re 2500 folks just south east of Huntsville, Alabama. Alcobendas Spain just outside of Madrid. I don’t think you pronounce that right at all. It is it is pronounced how it’s spelled. I pronounced it perfectly.

Kelli 2:45
Okay, well, welcome Spain.

Chris 2:46
How could Bendis in honor of Rafa Nadal winning his 14 French Open 22nd Major overall, technically, he grew up on the island of Majorca. Right? But you know, you

Kelli 3:00
don’t you won’t carry me there. I’ve asked you to take me there before my Orca. Yeah, have you? Yeah, have

Chris 3:07
all the other places you’ve actually you don’t carry

Kelli 3:09
me to enough places and the pandemic has really put a damper on that. You need to start carrying me more places. New dirt new dirt new water to see some new dirt.

Chris 3:22
Well here let’s just speaking of new dirt, let’s take a stroll down.

Kelli 3:26
That is not new dirt.

Chris 3:29
So the first of four magic MOBE magic mobile digital cards designed to celebrate Pride month at Walt Disney World are available on the My Disney Experience app. So throughout this month, so this is the if you don’t

Kelli 3:46
I’ve got you can change with the card you can change the card

Chris 3:50
looks like okay, these are they’re gonna release for Pride Month. related digital cards. All right. Minivan service at Walt Disney World will officially relaunch on July on June 29. Yes, yes, I know. It’s super expensive, but it’s the way to travel. Love the minivan. When you can’t take the little boats from the Polynesian you take the minivans you might see them running around before June 29. Doing test runs for people you can actually take part in that if you try our Lyft app, you know at the right time. And we

Kelli 4:23
had a cast member once a minivan driver that told us it was his favorite job at Disney

Chris 4:27
and he had done multiple jobs and driving people in the minivans was his favorite. He was from Charleston South fantastic.

Kelli 4:33
Yes, he was great. Yeah, but just as a as a note there I think the cast members like it too. Yep.

Chris 4:40
Um, so Scott Gustin, one of the guys that we follow on Twitter. He does an amazing job of covering amusement parks in general but specifically the Disney Parks he’s been out at Disney land a lot lately, and he is he covered world of color which officially reopened by Can APR but he noted that the which I didn’t realize that there were LED lights even on the in credit coaster which sits right behind the world of color the lake there. But which of course there are everything. Yes, there are new, much brighter LED lights were installed during the extended closure for COVID on the in credit coaster which just the even that would be amazing to look at plus

Kelli 5:29
the LED lights. Yes, absolutely. He and

Chris 5:34
he also this is not really a news item. But did you happen to see his video of Fantasmic? I did, Don. Were right at the point where Mickey Mouse comes back out on stage in his tux and he’s about to shoot, you know, fireworks sparks out of his hands. He fell down because the stage was wet again. He fell Mickey fell down. Yeah, thank God his head didn’t fall. Well, but like Mickey’s head didn’t fall off.

Kelli 6:01
You’re implying that his head is not attached?

Chris 6:05
No, I mean that he fell so hard, his head would have fallen off. Oh my goodness. But he does. The actor did an amazing he jumps back up, still slips and slides some more. But then like it’ll very last second sticks his arms straight out to the side and start thinking this guy might be thinking that the sparks are gonna come flying out of my hands here as I’m trying to just stand up on this wet stage. Yeah,

Kelli 6:33
really implied in that little section right there that that this Mickey’s an actor, not real. Like he’s an

Chris 6:39
actor. Okay. He’s a great actor. He’s been on his nose and stuff. He’s an actor of stage and screen for for over 90 years. Now. He

Kelli 6:49
is a bit top heavy, so I can imagine. Oh, you said you gotta be kid. He’s gotta be here with the years that knows. I mean, I’ve worn some visitors around the parks. Some of those things.

Chris 7:02
So some magic kingdom news. So did you hear about the Splash Mountain conversion to Yes.

Kelli 7:08
2024 Tiana gets her day.

Chris 7:11
We hope so.

Kelli 7:12
Why do you have to be such a Debbie Downer?

Chris 7:14
Well, I’m gonna tell you why. Good question. Nice. Nice segue are Nika Noni Rose the voice of Tiana seem to confirm that Princess and the Frog radio Splash Mountain would open in 2024 Although that timeline was not officially confirmed by Disney are on like Live with Regis and Kelly. Marie just probably two decades just

Kelli 7:40
about called it Regis and Kathie Lee. I don’t know Kelly’s these days Ryan Ryan

Chris 7:45
Ryan Seacrest. Yeah. Disney in response did say that they will provide an official update in July. Now Scott Gustin he’s making quite the appearance on the show today. pointed out something very clever. I think on his part, Disney is the official entertainment sponsor for this year’s essence festival of culture in New Orleans from June 30 to July 3, you know this is I

Kelli 8:10
mean, it sounds like some type of a Southern New Orleans Type Culture Festival.

Chris 8:15
The essence festival of culture is the largest festival in the country according to them, drawing more than 530,000 attendees annually over the Fourth of July weekend. The festival mobilizes informs and uplifts the largest global gathering of everyday multigenerational black women in a safe space to achieve new levels of sisterhood, personal development, wealth creation, civic engagement and community leadership. Now that sounds amazing. It does sound amazing. And manda talented outline does this essence, the magazine? I don’t know. It appears like maybe but like, I mean, they’ve got ridiculous, like Janet Jackson is going to be Wow. And doing with a tribute to Aretha Franklin. I think wow. And that’s just one of the amazing acts that they’ve got. That’s awesome. But I think what Scott was hinting at is that seems like an appropriate time to officially announce that we’re going to bring Tiana to life and officially re announce it. Skip the real timeline wherever the real timeline is.

Kelli 9:16
I mean, I took it off the website. So

Chris 9:21
oops, the Debbie Downer.

Kelli 9:22
I’m just saying Tiana needs her day and they need to redo Splash Mountain.

Chris 9:27
Epcot has launched an exclusive drink just for annual pass holders. It’s available on Jeffrey’s carts in Epcot.

Kelli 9:35
What’s Joffrey do into it?

Chris 9:37
The lavender Lemon Drop. It’s made with frozen lemonade and a splash of lavender. And for adults. You can get it with Greg use.

Kelli 9:47
Yeah, I feel like lavender and lemon is really having a strong summer. I’ve seen that in places around town.

Chris 9:52
Have you? Yeah.

Kelli 9:54
I have learned

Chris 9:55
our town. Yes. Okay. Well, it’s also at Epcot. And it’s only available if you’re a pass holder which we are not anymore. Oh,

Kelli 10:03
that’s so sad. I know we’d like we had a lot of expire. Lincoln espresso has some type of a lavender lemon honey drink I saw the other day and almost it was great course. I don’t know that

Chris 10:18
Hollywood studios, you can get some the Star Wars Genie actually right now on Snapchat until tomorrow you can get the some new Star Wars PhotoPass like filters. Okay, right now Snapchat for anybody that’s on the app. Okay, it’s starting tomorrow, it’ll be exclusively available as part of the like Memory Maker or whatever that is now for Genie plus, okay, where that’s these these new filters where you can become any number of Star Wars life forms.

Kelli 10:52
You have to be in the parks to use those filters. Starting tomorrow

Chris 10:55
right now,

Kelli 10:56
right? Yeah, we could do it like at home. You could do it right now. We need to do that. Yes. I

Chris 11:00
mean, oh, come on. Okay. I mean, as I’ve got one of me as Ursula and I just don’t know how we ever, you know, I don’t. But

Kelli 11:09
I could be Ahsoka or Ray.

Chris 11:13
True. That’s true. I mean,

Kelli 11:15
okay.

Chris 11:18
news, a new menu altogether has come to sci fi dine in theater. Spoilers. Oh, whoops. All right. We talked about not not doing that.

Kelli 11:28
We talked about you not putting that in the news. Right. That’s

Chris 11:36
just won’t go any further. We didn’t even

Kelli 11:37
have that conversation. It is.

Chris 11:39
It’s been two days, we might as well not have. So the cold brew black calf, and the spiked version that has been available at Galaxy’s edge in Disney Land will now be available at Galaxy’s edge in Hollywood Studios. That’s still at the Cocopah that’s the one with the CoCo

Kelli 11:58
does that last week? Nope. I

Chris 12:00
did not. I told you that.

Kelli 12:01
You told us last week because I talked about that lady that brings it her own cocoppa way. Yes, this is old news.

Chris 12:09
We’re gonna go back and listen, this is awesome. I hope we did. Just losing my mind.

Kelli 12:14
I think you are i Seriously I told you that the lady brings in her own Cocoa Puffs. I hope

Chris 12:19
I remember having that conversation. But I’d swear to you that was like in the car.

Kelli 12:24
Not it was

Chris 12:26
good. Listen on this podcast. This is the we don’t talk at all like it or we talk all the time. And we just assume we’re always on the podcast. Right?

Kelli 12:35
But so like you put that on there because you think it’s brand new news this week? I did put it on you know, you remember you and I having that conversation? We’re

Chris 12:41
having a conversation. I just didn’t think it was here across this table. He

Kelli 12:43
was. Wow. Yeah.

Chris 12:46
I am totally cuckoo for Cocoa. Oh,

Kelli 12:49
wow.

Chris 12:53
Gosh, right. Did you see the viral video that made the rounds in from Disneyland Paris where the cast member broke up and engagement happening? Proposal No, literally walked up, took the ring right out of the guy’s hand and marched him out of the area that we’re in.

Kelli 13:08
Why not allowed you to

Chris 13:11
be in that specific area. And it’s a stage where they have pyrotechnics so they Nobody’s allowed to go up there for fear that they could exploit. Disneyland Paris did apologize

Kelli 13:24
for it by but I guess it would have been worse had they explode? You know, what would have been quite the thing. The guests that exploded? That would have been worse.

Chris 13:31
That would have been worse? Yes. Okay. I’ve got some other things here. But we’re gonna move on because

Kelli 13:36
because you told us old news.

Chris 13:39
Cocoa Puffs. sure that I’m right about that.

Kelli 13:45
So shocking to everyone. But the Sci Fi dine in theater has released a new menu.

Chris 13:52
It made you very, very nervous, though, whenever, whenever I told you that this week.

Kelli 13:58
Well, so here’s the thing it is I mean, it’s kind of a big deal that they released a new menu. What I’m going to say is they’ve released some new menu items. Now you’ve done a phenomenal job talking us through the Sci Fi dine in theater on here, like you told us what the role movies are. You talked about what comes out of the kitchen, all that kind of stuff. So I know we’ve talked about their menu before. So I’m gonna tell you the new stuff. And then we’ll talk about some of the favorites but I’m gonna spend most of the time on the new items. So this menu was released or their menu was updated in in June, it was just this month, just a few days ago. So as far as appetizers are concerned, and by the way, if you haven’t been to sci fi dine in, it’s easily one of our favorites. I would put it in our top three, probably. Yeah. And so we’ve done several episodes on it. We absolutely adore sci fi dine in. So they’ve got two new or two. They’re two standard appetizers are still on the menu. They have crispy onion rings with the horseradish dipping sauce for $11 a big deal and the fried dill pickles. swish can come with ranch or the dipping sauce for $12 I’m not even huge on hearing God, but those are crazy good, but now they’ve got three new appetizers. Okay, and the first one is a spinach and artichoke dip. Now this is vegan. This is a plant based item. It’s a blend of spinach artichoke red peppers, cauliflower cashew cheese Astrix on that I’m gonna come back to it. And oat milk served with housemade chips. Now I got all this info from Disney food blog that went and did a great review of it. They loved the spinach artichoke dip they said it was creamy and the taste was spot on. It wasn’t too salty. The cashew cheese I sort of have issue with I’ve tried it before. Yeah, not my favorite. But here’s what I will say I made it as like a queso a dipping sauce. And what I found was I did not like it alone. But if I had something really salty to dip into it was great. So like a tortilla chip dipping in really salty really sold it for me. So Disney food blog felt like the house made chips that were served with this were way too salty, interesting. And I would say that’s highly probable like if you eat the chips by themselves, but I would guess that that is strategic with the cashew cheese as

Chris 16:17
they specifically called out that the the depth itself is not very not

Kelli 16:21
salty, right. So that’s my personal opinion. I will say I do love salt. Probably more than most, so it can’t usually be too salty for me. But this has good reviews as far as what the spinach and artichoke dip tastes like it’s creamy. So I would again challenge those of you who are not vegan or plant based to give that a go it’s $13 They also have the Sci Fi smoked wings. Now these are smoked chicken wings tossed in a porter barbecue sauce. So they housemaid pineapple and poppy seed Kosal That sounds fantastic. These are $15 and supposedly they are just the bomb. They just blow your mind and you wish you could order multiple orders of them for the meal and whatnot. Like they’re just phenomenal. Yeah. So smoke wings. The third is a black garlotte Caesar salad. This is also sounds really good to eat Romaine. You’d love a Caesar salad. Do petite romaine lettuce with grilled artichoke hearts chopped apple wood smoked bacon Shea Parmesan talked with a housemate black garlic caesar dressing and serve they toasted garlic Cristini.

Chris 17:33
The idea of a black garlic anything some for some reason? Sounds great. Yeah. So

Kelli 17:38
that’s $11. And what I will say is none of this is like your typical fare that you expect at sci fi right? You go in there sort of expecting shakes and burgers. So I love that they’re expanding the menu to sort of step out and have some really cool food options inside of sci fi. So and they have all those appetizers at lunch and dinner. So same with the entrees, everything’s the same lunch and dinner. They’ve got three new ones, but their standards are still on the menu, the drive in burger that’s going to be your signature burger. That also comes on brioche bun topped with smoked pork Bergen bacon jam, cheddar lettuce and barbecue sauce was still not your average burger. Oh no. $22 your classic American burger is really a bacon cheeseburger. And it’s $20 They also have an oven roasted turkey sandwich and they’ve had that which they’ve had that for a while. This is on fresh baked multigrain croissant with Bacon Lettuce tomatoes and a cilantro avocado ale Lee for $18 A Pan Seared chicken pasta they’ve had that. This is a lemon butter sauce with rainbow tomatoes, onion, spinach and a toasted garlic Cristini $24 Same situation but with salmon $25 Okay, so you can get it with with pasta I mean with chicken or salmon chickens. 24 Salmon is 25 and then they have the Impossible Burger. Which is also comes a grilled portabella mushroom cashew mozzarella, garlic tomato aoli nut free pesto lettuce and tomato. I’ve had that before $21 I have had it before but I’m pretty sure I had them give me real cheese instead of the cashew mots.

Chris 19:24
Maybe that’s why

Kelli 19:26
but yes, I have had that I think Disney does an amazing job with all of the impossible items. So then we’ve gotten three new items that are entrees one is called the feature film burger. So they have this feature film burger all the time and it’s essentially whatever feature is oh, I said a week right so our month or what have you so Disney food blog had an amazing feature film burger when they were there just this past week. I mean that had like a crab cake a crab and shrimp cake on it. Oh interesting. They said it was just almost too big. Like You couldn’t get a full bite of everything because it was so tall and such a massive Burger Challenge accepted $24 But they had a feature film burger that was called the pork on pork burger. Okay, that one has now been made a permanent fixture. That’s one of the new items on the menu. So this is a house made pork patty topped with roasted pork belly, white sharp cheddar, caramelized onions, cabbage slaw, and a housemaid Carolina mustard sauce,

Chris 20:29
man.

Kelli 20:30
I know. Spend some of those decisions fairly interesting. It’s 20 to 50. My understanding is the Carolina mustard sauce is no longer available at Regal Eagle Smokehouse that they took the mustard based barbecue off the menu. Yeah, I mean quite some time ago. So I find it interesting that that’s that that’s on their garbage is what I find. The other thing is the grilled chicken citrus salad which is romaine lettuce, spinach arugula toss with rainbow tomatoes, candied pecans, cranberries and feta cheese, topped with a grilled marinated chicken and a housemade. citrus vinaigrette. Yeah, that sounds delicious. $18 Yeah. So that’s it. So essentially, they took their old feature film burger are one of the most popular feature film burgers they had and maybe a five minute fix a permanent fixture on the menu. Okay, now, I think the desserts are really where it’s at. So they have three standard desserts. One is the cookie shake. So this is going to be like cookies and cream milkshake. But it is vegan. So it’s plant based milk. That is the only milkshake they’ve got on their menu. By the way, a little bit of a shame. I don’t I don’t think so. I think it’s fantastic. I mean, I think maybe you think it’s a shame because maybe you haven’t had a plant based milk cookies and coconut whipped cream kind of a situation but it’s good. It’s on the menu. They also have a hot fudge sundae for $8 and some fruit salad. But the two new things that are desserts look really out of this world and one of them is called out of this world. They look very spacey and different. Like you mentioned, maybe something you’d see on the house see on you, right. So the first one is called the Red Planet. And this is a white chocolate cheesecake with a spiced blueberry compote on a graham cracker tart, with a match of sponge and golden candied almonds for $9. Now what you might be saying there is none of that is red. And that is accurate. They actually like it looks to me like they use a red mirror glaze right over the top of it. And so it looks like a red planet but nothing on the inside is red. The new one the second new one is called out of this world. And this is your pineapple mousse with passion fruit, cosmic squirrel, squirrel, squirrel, and a spice lime spaceship, garnish with space dust, and I blood orange Cooley for $10 There’s a lot going on in that it doesn’t look that complicated, but there’s a lot going on there. Now a couple things This isn’t new. But for your kiddos, your appetizers our garden salad or chicken noodle soup, which I love, love that those are healthy appetizers for the kiddos and their entrees or beef skewers chicken strips mac and cheese or cheese burger. And so that’s still the same. But so yeah, I would say it’s an updated menu. It’s not a new it’s not a new menu. It’s

Chris 23:27
new menu items. At best.

Kelli 23:29
I love the updates. I love that they’ve got more plant based options. And I love that they’re going in a way that really makes sci fi truly unique from a culinary experience not just atmospheric sure it’s your

Chris 23:44
little snack shack vibe.

Kelli 23:46
I don’t think it loses the vibe but you still get the onion rings. You still get the fried dill pickles, you’re gonna get the burger with cheese and bacon.

Chris 23:53
And it’s gonna be a jacked up burger. It’s gonna have it’s gonna be delightful and have a crab cake on it or some pork right it’ll be delightful. It’s gonna be great. I’m excited about our next time at the Sci Fi dine in theater, which is you know, we like it when they when they fake the outside on the inside. Okay, so on the World Showcase. So I was listening to another podcast recently just a wonderful father daughter team at Disney assemble podcast, Troy and meanie. We love them. They are totally adorbs and you should absolutely check out their show. They were amazing. They were discussing as part of their show their hot tech show. I think this this recently, they were discussing a specific ride that no longer exists at Walt Disney World and it made me wonder what other sort of defunct no longer existing Walt Disney World attractions what I just really love to do again. So I got help with this from syfy.com and travel and leisure.com and And I’m only going to do four really in detail. And then there’s, there’s a bunch of others, we do another podcast about it or whatever, but possibly the top two rods on my list I’ve done as whole segments before. They don’t exist anymore. So go back and listen to the segments on Body Wars, which was a simulation ride at Epcot back in the day. And the Extra Terrestrial alien adventure, which I absolutely just went bonkers for. I loved it. But all you folks out there got super scared I was having heart attack was not scary. So they had to take it out. Um, so So in no particular order. I’m just gonna do four rides that I wish we could do again, in addition to those two, in addition to those two, yes. All right. The first like I said, in no particular order, The Great Movie Ride.

Kelli 25:54
Oh, yeah, I did love Mary Poppins.

Chris 25:58
There were more movies than just Mary Poppins. Yeah. This is actually the ride that Troy and Mimi on Disney assembled were talking about in their episode. That made me wonder if there were other rides. I wish took a ride again. This, this ride was perfect to me. You wrote through all these wonderful Disney, these wonderful movie scenes, not just Disney movie scenes. The animatronics were great. The music was great. Those movies they chose to show you in the stars. They were great. The ride conductor took part in it right one of the animatronics was actually a live person either a cowboy or a gangster they would hijack your car. And you know he’d get his come up at Slater. You know, in one of the other movie scenes. And then they had this wonderful montage this widescreen one wonderful movie montage at the very end. If you loved movies, yes. You just totally got that that I love movies vibe. It felt very Hollywood. It did. Yes. It was a golden age of Hollywood Golden Age of Hollywood. The music was perfect. It just it just gave me all the right fields. That guy that time that we were behind in line didn’t say a word for two and a half hours we were in line. The pre show of that was basically watching trailers from old movies. This dude didn’t say a word for two hours. And suddenly, a trailer for The Searchers comes up and he screams Big John I thought the movies made this apparently mute man. screen. So is I love that right? I mean, I like the new one. I like runaway railway, but I just I really hated that they got rid of the gravy. Right? Maybe Rob was good. Okay, so the next one, if you ever read this horizons at Epcot, do you remember horizons? Remember horizons Horizons is where mission spaces today and how was a completely different building. It was like this pyramid shaped building. It was a 15 minute long ride. Your ride car was sort of like an omni mover, right? Like on a lot of the other rides. We’d go through show scenes just like the other rides and give you a glimpse into this idyllic vision of the future using you know these these diorama type set so that I’m atronics and whatnot, you would go travel into space and see Space Station Bravo Centauri, or you would and you would go to a desert area called Mesa Verde, you’d go to an underwater city called the Sea Castle research base. Then you’d actually this was what really set it apart and made it groundbreaking. You actually got to choose which version of those things you wanted to experience in person, you would just press a button on your car display. And then using some well placed blinders, these blinders would pop up between your cars and a couple of like 70 millimeter OMNIMAX movie screens your ride car would take you to your chosen destination and back so you either your car would you know I’m using air quotes turned into an undersea type you know, two persons submarine and you would travel to this the research base underwater or you’d go to the desert area that’s cool on you know in a simulation type sort of setting. And again, 15 minute long ride it was it was really a pretty, pretty cool experience. But she never wrote that. No,

Kelli 29:39
I don’t remember that at all. It

Chris 29:40
was it was on that side of there were like the world of motion or the test track is today. Next, I don’t know if this is gonna be a hot take or not the maelstrom.

Kelli 29:53
Really? Yeah, I wish you could write it again.

Chris 29:56
I wish I could ride the Maelstrom again.

Kelli 29:58
I like the Elsa Oliver. Question. Yeah, I mean I’m a fan of the Elsa honor version. I’m also

Chris 30:03
including the little you know promotional movie that you would go in right after you got off the boat ride. You go into this little theater and they show you a movie about Norway. I love on Elsa the whole frozen gang I love great job with the indoor Q there. They did. They did. You’re right. I you know, I love the movie Frozen. This ride today is still the exact same ride just with a frozen skin. So it’s not really about the ride. I’m not really against the IP being of Disney attractions at Epcot. But one of the things I love about World Showcase, especially when it’s incorporating cast members that are from those right cultural regions. I love learning about the cultures and the countries in World Showcase. And Maelstrom did a wonderful job of introducing you to sort of the, the history and lore of Norway, their their Viking heritage, but also their you know, their their vision of their own future. I can still feel myself riding through the area where that big sea oil platform is, and the polar bears and it feels like you’re literally riding through a of you know, a violent seascape in Norway in the Arctic Ocean. So just loved that ride. And honestly, I thought the little promotional video at the end was also really really good. So I would I would like for it plus, you know, we get the meat on and Elsa right next door. Yeah. Norway doesn’t have to all be about on an Elsa. Well, it’s

Kelli 31:42
not they’ve got the bakery.

Chris 31:44
Right. What’s the name of that bakery?

Kelli 31:45
Yeah, I don’t know. But then they’ve also Creme de la

Chris 31:50
Creme kringla.

Kelli 31:54
They’ve also completely changed their shop inside they’re not selling a bunch of Anan else’s stuff anymore. It is very heavily like if you’re interested in going for an Arctic ski yes chart Arctic holiday.

Chris 32:06
That’s true. They do some shopping and do some real shopping. Not gonna wear any of that stuff out in Florida. But yes, that’s true. Okay, so, so Great Movie Ride horizons maelstrom. And I think this was this is outside of the box. Okay. The adventurers club at Pleasure Island. This is not this is not attraction this okay. This is a fish as a bar.

Kelli 32:30
This was about to after like your your been in your segment just a little bit?

Chris 32:34
I’m absolutely not. This is anybody that knows the adventurers club is out there right now. Absolutely. on their feet in agreement.

Kelli 32:44
I thought this was rides that are different.

Chris 32:49
I should have said attractions and experiences. But that’s not what you said. Oh, well, that’s what I’m saying that the adventurers club. So first off, it was Pleasure Island, which is what used to be the area that is now really the landing at Disney Springs. Yep. Right. You crossed those bridges over into this area where like art Smith’s is, and that area was called was Pleasure Island. It deserves its own full segment to Pleasure Island and I’m going to do it. This was this was easily the best of the Pleasure Island offerings. It was set in the 1930s. This was a club for explorers and adventurers to meet up over stiff drinks and share their stories of of wild times. It included live performers, audio audit, animatronics and puppets, multiple floors of walls covered with trophies of these exploits of these adventurers, and you walked out feeling like a legitimate part of the club. To this day, the society of explorers and adventurers SCA is used in backstories of attractions like the Jungle Cruise Skipper canteen, well and numerous attractions at restaurants in Tokyo, Disney Sea, Mystic Manor at Disneyland is based on SCA, it all sort of got its start at the adventurers club. And it was the kind of thing where the puppets would react live to whatever people were doing or whatever they had people doing in the audience. Okay, it was just kind of like you just you went in there. You ordered some drinks and just waited to see what craziness happened.

Kelli 34:27
Okay,

Chris 34:28
so the adventurers Club A Pleasure Island.

Kelli 34:31
Okay, I think that definitely stretched the SEC. Absolutely not.

Chris 34:34
Anybody that has been to the adventurers club is 100% on my side, okay. I’ve got like seven others that I just were other notables that I can do and another segment that can

Kelli 34:46
