    • Last week we touched briefly on the announcements that came out of the D23 Expo.
    • But lets get into it a little more and we will start with the things I’m most excited about:
  • Luminous: A Symphony of US
    • This is the official replacement for Harmonious
    • The new show, which debuts December 5th is called Luminous: The Symphony of Us and it will feature fireworks, fountains, lasers, lighting effects, and music.
  • The Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana
    • Officially opens on Oct. 16 – walking attraction
    • Nighttime viewing is supposed to be truly special
  • Beyond Big Thunder
    • No specifics yet but WDI Chief Creative Officer suggested MASSIVE ideas:
      • He likened it to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge or Pandora – The World of Avatar. Vaughn actually said that he thinks the project “could be the biggest thing we’ve done in the Magic Kingdom, probably even bigger than New Fantasyland”, noting that Disney is exploring ideas for new attractions, new restaurants, and new shows.
  • A New Test Track

We have a longstanding relationship with Chevrolet – one of our corporate alliance partners who helps us [enhance EPCOT]. They’re very focused on innovation and the future of how we will travel across this planet of ours, which is why I’m so pleased to tell you that we’re working with Chevrolet to once again reimagine the Test Track experience.

We’re reaching back in to the history of the pavilion, taking inspiration from the original World of Motion and bringing that spirit of optimism to this next iteration of Test Track.

  • What I didn’t realize was that WDI and Chevy partnered together on the Tron attraction.
  • World Celebration officially opens in December
    • I think the most exciting thing will be the removal of the construction walls.
  • King Thanos Multiverse Jumping ride
    • new details were shared around the third future attraction coming to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park. As depicted in this artist concept, the heroes have created a new vehicle capable of jumping between worlds and even realities – on planet Earth and beyond. The design combines elements of Tony Stark’s time-suits with Xandarian jump points and Wakandan technology to create a vehicle that combines portal technology and flight capabilities to maneuver through the skies, transporting heroes to remote worlds in a matter of moments.
  • Tropical Lands of America
    • Encanto and Indy
  • The Country Bear Jamboree gets Plussed:

At Destination D23 2023, it was announced that the Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and the bears will be performing a new act in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney Imagineer Chris Beatty told the Destination D23 audience that when the show debuts, the bears will be reinterpreting favorite Disney songs in different genres of country music – like rockabilly, bluegrass, pop-country and other styles.

Imagineers are envisioning the new take as a homage to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and they’re working with Nashville musicians to get the authentic country sound.  The Country Bear Jamboree will still have the fun and friendly tone fans enjoy with the same famous characters like the loveable Trixie, Big Al and others.

  • Pirates of the Caribbean themed Tavern
    • Imagine the old barker Parrot that was out from of the ride.  He may take of residence here and spin tails of the high seas.
  • Hatbox Ghost
    • Slated for a November arrival
  • Zootopia replacing Tough to be a Bug
  • Soarin Over Cali
  • D23 Expo rebranding and Expanding

You’re not you don’t feel good. You’re

Chris 0:46

Kelli 0:47
You are taking one for the team. I prep for the pod. But look, and I appreciate you.

Chris 0:52
I am the one thing that could get me out of bed today. podcast

Kelli 0:57
so sweet.

Chris 0:59
And here we are. And here we are. I just say that to say at the energy level is what you’ve come to expect from this fine production. And I apologize. We’ll do better again next week.

Kelli 1:10
So I’m wearing my haunted mansion here are wearing your hunting matches are glow in the dark. I will say there are some new years out specifically for this Halloween that are haunted mansion. themed. Oh, good. I do really like but as we discovered last year, I have way more Halloween ears, then then the month really requires and not enough Christmas years. So but in any case, I think I’m going home tonight because I’m already embracing the Halloween newness of the pod. Good. So honey. Hey, did anybody listen to us last week?

Chris 1:48
Yes. Yes. We had. We had listeners from Ocala, Florida. Okay, I stayed in California once Ocala, Florida,

Kelli 1:55
or

Chris 1:56
California. Lovely little place. Okay. Eastern Pennsylvania. Eastern they make the bats. Oh, you know I should look into that up I wonder I bet they make the bat if you are one of the people that live in eastern pa that there has downloaded our podcast. Let us know do you make the beds

Kelli 2:13
you make the bats the gloves? You the baseball paraphernalia people don’t ball

Chris 2:17
stuff. Yeah. Okay. Cape May Court House New Jersey, which I thought was just a lovely name

Kelli 2:22
for a town. Wait Cape May courthouse Cape May Court House New Jersey. That’s interesting. Yep. Fascinating. It’s,

Chris 2:30
it is the quintessential New England. Little Town town. Okay. All right. And hold that Denmark. Oh, you’re huge. We’re so big in Denmark, Denmark.

Kelli 2:42
And Mark. Nice welcome. Denmark’s

Chris 2:45
also welcome, everybody to Hispanic Heritage Month. Yes. Now through mid October. We’re very excited. I’m sure that that will influence something that we do in the coming weeks on the pod it will be so Alright, so you ready for some? Let’s

Kelli 2:57
let’s have the news on

Chris 3:01
so back in July, Bob Iger, as most of you know it has hinted at the company might be interested in selling off some of its business properties that aren’t, quote core to Disney. Okay. He noted that he wanted to keep ESPN under the Disney umbrella. Okay, because that’s core to Disney, I guess somehow core core core. But the other parts of the media business could be sold off such as ABC or other linear programming. There was a report this week by Reuters I think that they were looking to sell ABC two NexStar. I don’t know much about NexStar. But there are regional television station.

Kelli 3:42
Broadcasting. Good keep ESPN, but a so ABC is considered ancillary.

Chris 3:52
But he says for now, that was what did they say? The Walt Disney Company issued the following statement in response to this report. While we are open to considering a variety of strategic options for our linear businesses. At this time, the Walt Disney Company has made no decision with respect to the divestiture of ABC.

Kelli 4:12
So I guess we need to make those types of statements because of stockholders,

Chris 4:17
I guess. Yes, yes. Okay. Could have a impact, I guess. Here’s a little bit of really Greek board stupidity. And I know that’s not what they’re called anymore, but I don’t care if somebody hears it and they get upset and good. The they met to vote on a few things this past week. And the board chairman says, among other prepared statements, he said politely, the Reedy Creek improvement district could have been described as a quote public private partnership. In reality, in terms of scope and scale, it became one of the greatest examples of corporate cronyism in modern American history. Everyone for hyperbole this guy After the establishment of the Central Florida tourism oversight District, which now you know why I keep calling it Reedy Creek district, in April, this board has acted swiftly and effectively to make sure the operations of the district are promoting the public good. He went on to say we are eager to continue our work on behalf of the residents, employees, tourists and all our other constituents to function as an independent government agency. And then they promptly voted to move forward with removing passes from the employees of the district. Removing Park passes,

Kelli 5:36
they know that there are people in the world that don’t have water or clothing or food, right. Okay. Just like big picture. Picture. Okay, you’re not curing cancer here, right? You’re taking away Park passes from firemen. Right? Right. Okay. But it’s

Chris 5:51
okay, though. They’re gonna, they’re going to revisit the lump sum payment that they will give to the district employees in lieu of these free passes. And don’t worry, those those lump sum payments are going to be worth more than the passes were, according to them, but they’re not going to tell us what that lump sum is yet. That’s going to be voted on at the next meeting. And not, there’s more ridiculous, and they are also cutting road maintenance budgets next year by $3.1 million. That’s about 19% of the road maintenance budget. On the on the Walt Disney World properties.

Kelli 6:31
These people have nothing better to do. It’s like that that video you sent me this week from tick tock, where is this? What people who have all their rights do? Once you have all of your rights, I know Do you do you just feel the need to screw around with everybody else? It’s what it is. Like is this where this type of thing you you spend your mind power on? If you have all of your IQ?

Chris 6:54
What do we have control over the roads? Let’s just make the roads worse.

Kelli 6:58
Let’s make the roads worse. Let’s take away free Disney passes for the firemen, right? Let’s raise taxes, like make a list of all the horrible things you could do and then go do those. Right? This is what happens when you have all of your rights. You don’t have to

Chris 7:15
have anything to fight for, for us to fight against. Moving on to happier things. I’m sure that the timing of Hispanic Heritage Month was influential in the decision here but Bruno has made his debut in the Disney adventure friends cavalcade at Magic Kingdom. Uber No, we don’t talk about but we do. We talked about him now. He shows up on the cavalcade. He looked great. He looked great. Maribel has arrived at the Magic Kingdom for her meet and greet she is in the you know the fantasyland gardens area is nice.

Kelli 7:52
I love her on dreamlike Valley because every time she’s near me there are butterflies all over the place. And I love that about her.

Chris 7:59
Well, the the park character looks adorable as you would imagine. They have they have this is where Mara used to meet folks. This this where she’s meeting people and

Kelli 8:10
I didn’t know she took married.

Chris 8:12
Did we talked about it.

Kelli 8:15
You did why did she have to take merit as house it’s

Chris 8:17
a great question they have now read read, decorated that area that didn’t even look like casita. Well, they’ve tried to make it a little more. So

Kelli 8:26
whereas married and now you’re gonna go out of the park.

Chris 8:30
You’re gonna love it. Yeah, makes perfectly good sense. He’s over in Liberty Square for some reason. Oh, no. They did not take her out of the park.

Kelli 8:42
That so they didn’t take. They didn’t take her out of the park. But we moved her over to the area where the presidents are where we celebrate freedom. This, this young woman who was oppressed and forced.

Chris 8:58
They did not take her out of the park. They didn’t take her out of the park. I’m sure it was hard. Is

Kelli 9:02
that the win? That’s the way it married up. We’re gonna give your house to, you know Mirabelle here, but don’t worry. You’re gonna get to stay at the park.

Chris 9:13
Like she’s still there. I know. I don’t know why it makes sense to put her over in Liberty Square. Like that was the first thing we thought. No,

Kelli 9:22
I’m against it. I’m against this decision. Well, what

Chris 9:25
would you want to do with Mirbeau?

Kelli 9:28
Well, Mirabelle, first of all should be in Epcot. Okay, Mirabelle, first of all, should be in Epcot. But if we’re gonna have her in Magic Kingdom, that’s fine. I can accept that. I would put her in Adventure Land. Why

Chris 9:42
don’t we put Why don’t we put the redheaded girl we were just talking about

Kelli 9:47
the redheaded girl we were just talking about from Brave

Chris 9:51
marinara to Maratha Why don’t we

Kelli 9:56
like why don’t we

Chris 9:59
why I don’t we put her in the UK.

Kelli 10:03
I mean, you could put her in the UK I’m just saying like if you want her to be a Magic Kingdom, I would put her to Adventure Land I probably would have put Mirabelle and Adventure Land. I mean, definitely not Liberty Square.

Chris 10:17
I wouldn’t put her in odd. I think UK I think we put her in the UK at Epcot. I think that’s where she should have gone. I’ll call somebody this. Okay. The minis that wonderful Christmas time fireworks and dessert party is going to return and the reservations will open up this month. Why do

Kelli 10:34
you think they marginalize all the redhead? You think somebody sits around a table and they’re like, how can we oppress the redheads this way?

Chris 10:43
I don’t think that’s what they did. But I really should have made that the last news item I recognize my mistake and I’ll try to do better next time.

Kelli 10:52
So Mirabelle hasn’t beaten great in merit

Chris 10:55
the rest of the news so that we put Bruno on

Kelli 10:58
the float right is Mirabelle also on the float AB she seems like a good adventure friend didn’t say it’s not an Adventure Land. No. Okay, all right, go ahead. The other news that’s not oppressive skilled

Chris 11:12
mouse popcorn bucket is now available. Magic Kingdom I’m not sure that’s odd item. Let’s see Oswald the Lucky Rabbit annual pass holder magnets coming soon to Epcot. They look amazing and makes me want to go be an annual pass holder again. Just

Kelli 11:29
to get an Oswald magnet.

Chris 11:30
It looks great. It really doesn’t.

Kelli 11:32
You can probably find it on eBay.

Chris 11:36
The Dream port tunnel has been modified for figment. Do you know why? What’s the dream port is where figment comes out and meets people. Do you know why?

Kelli 11:45
Because these two massive He’s huge. Did

Chris 11:48
you see him fall?

Kelli 11:49
No.

Chris 11:51
I don’t I don’t want to laugh about it. But it is one of the funniest things ever.

Kelli 11:56
I think fell coming. I

Chris 11:57
did write on MySpace. I think honestly, I think it fits right in with figments character and I think that they should figure out a way to clumsy to make figma fall every single time. Yeah,

Kelli 12:10
total. No, no, no. Is not clumsy. He flies. I mean let him use his little wings and fly out of that port. So maybe we should have taken the port in consideration before we make the costume. So Massa it was pretty good. Pretty good. For figment. Yeah, so sorry, Vicki.

Chris 12:29
Oh, let’s see. We need to skip through some of these things here. That remember that DVC resort the reflections resort that that sort of was like we’re putting it on hold and pre COVID time? Yeah. Well, there’s they have requested and received permission to extend the permit for that land. Okay, so may not be done with that. That may be a DVC resort after all, but

Kelli 12:52
we’re just still on hold still still. The permits for the want to

Chris 12:57
keep keep these permits for another four or five years?

Kelli 12:59
No definite.

Chris 13:00
I think it’s gonna happen. I think they’re gonna get a DVC resort right there and then Magic Kingdom.

Kelli 13:05
Well, I mean, I think they should.

Chris 13:07
I think so too. It looks really cool. for it. Okay,

Kelli 13:11
what was the theme for that one reflections. What was it? Lon that’s her song. It is. Her song? It was so it wasn’t like Chinese themed? No, they don’t have a Chinese themed resort.

Chris 13:29
No, no. I didn’t go in. I don’t remember. But it looks really nice and big and sprawling. And

Kelli 13:36
does that mean it can’t be Mulan?

Chris 13:38
I don’t think it’s I don’t think it’s Milan. I don’t think it’s Chinese. The pictures that I saw did not appear to be Chinese in any way. Then

Kelli 13:48
what was the theme? It’s a reflection of our past.

Chris 13:51
I don’t know. I don’t know.

Kelli 13:53
Gosh. You have found this in?

Chris 13:57
I have not. I did not know there was gonna be such a q&a going on. I

Kelli 14:02
was just asking for more details. I just wonder what the theme is. You know, like,

Chris 14:06
Hey, have you heard about this Disneyland forward thing that’s happening out in Anaheim. This is like a this is a huge music’s

Kelli 14:13
playing. Okay, it’s over musics over re done. 40

Chris 14:17
year like plan to expand both Disneyland and California Adventure parks. Okay, like 12 new attractions. They’re gonna buy up all this property between like, Disneyland way and magic. Okay. Just buy up a whole do it like by block. Yes. Yep. And turn this thing into expanded parks. It looks it looks like a major undertaking. And I am for it. That’s awesome. Yes. And the Disneyland Hotel in Paris is gonna open on January the 25th. And it looks glorious. Nice. who’s smarter than me?

Kelli 14:57
You are here tomorrow.

Chris 14:59
Here we go. reenergizing here last week as part of the news, we touched on the D 23. Expo and some of the announcements that came out of there but I thought we would just bring them up again and chat about a little deeper. Okay, yep, dive a little deeper. All right. And I sort of tried to go like the things I was most excited about, but I don’t know that I did that exactly. But I’m very excited about these first few for sure.

Kelli 15:25
Okay, how many do we have? Oh, I

Chris 15:27
don’t know. Okay. I have no idea. Okay. Luminous a symphony of us this is the new nighttime spectacular that’s coming to Epcot the colon. Lewis has does have a colon Yes. I think officially and their scientists I don’t think it will, but added the colon and and some other people I saw other people writing colons Okay, yep. This new show is debuts December the fifth and it will feature fireworks fountains, lasers, lighting effects and music. I liked it. It’s right around the corner. I think that’s my most favorite thing about it. Okay, it’s here is practically upon us. We had to wait a year we had to wait a year for harmonious

Kelli 16:07
well, because they built all this big huge bar and then they had to work out and put them together and blah, blah. Yeah, all I’m excited

Chris 16:14
about some some people were saying that it they think it’s going to be some automation of harmonious and reflections of Earth. I’m gonna take here reflections of Earth can just go away. I don’t care about the previous eliminations reflections of Earth. I don’t care anything about it. Well,

Kelli 16:31
me but that does sound like like a mash up. Right. illuminations and harmonious has now become luminous. Yeah, it does. I mean, it sounds like we’ve got type of a mash up thing going on. I do hope they keep some that just keep just

Chris 16:45
keep the music. Okay, just keep the music and put some new lights and fountains and stuff to it. Fine. Just but don’t mean the music was

Kelli 16:52
us. It was good. All right.

Chris 16:55
Journey of water inspired by Mallanna this is yes. officially opening on

Kelli 17:00
those pictures. Yeah, that’s the

Chris 17:03
attraction. It’s a walkthrough. You get to control the water. Great. What’s the thing that sells this is gonna be the pictures that we get to bring home, especially in the evenings in the twilight time.

Kelli 17:14
It’s gonna be really pretty beautiful.

Chris 17:17
Yeah, absolutely beautiful.

Kelli 17:19
I mean, we don’t know how much the water you get to control that hasn’t been disclosed. What do you want to do? Everything? I mean, duh. I did a whole segment on that. Did you not listen? I did. Okay, well, then that’s what I want to do. Everything walk into that area and immediately the water is like at my fingertips. I am like, I’m sure Sorcerer Mickey conducting the water as I go through. That’s what I want. That’s what I want anything less than that. It’s not gonna be my expectations. I’m

Chris 17:52
worried then I’m real worried. Excuse me. I think the big win that’s gonna come out of this thing is going to be the photos that we get to take of their someone’s Spaceship Earth in the background right from within the attraction just just looks so beautiful. Okay. And it’s gonna pull people away from other things in the park too, which is also good. They did not go any more details on beyond Big Thunder. Okay, no specific details. But you know, they sort of raised this specter last year of, they’ve got all this plot of land behind Big Thunder Mountain that they can do something with. He did a whole segment. So ya know, it’s you. Did

Kelli 18:33
you remember the segment? I do? Okay. It’s about

Chris 18:36
villains, I think because the whole villain landfill and land. Yeah. With a better name than that. I’m sure. It

Kelli 18:41
did a much better name than that. So let’s

Chris 18:45
say it’s Bruce, I think is Bruce Vaughn, who has recently rejoined Disney as the Chief Creative Officer of The Walt Disney Imagineering group. He came out and said that no specifics, of course, but he said this will be one of the most massive undertakings I’ve ever that’s ever occurred at Walt Disney World. He likened it to the size of Star Wars Galaxies edge or Pandora. Wow. He he actually said that he thinks the project could be quote, could be the biggest thing we’ve ever done at the Magic Kingdom probably even bigger than the new fantasyland opening, which was a big deal. So big deal. Noting that Disney is exploring ideas for new attractions, restaurants and new shows in that area. So pretty excited about that. Yeah,

Kelli 19:33
that’s cool. That sounds very cool. But that hasn’t no theme. You seem to be bringing a lot of stuff today that is themeless. Like you got a lot of information for us with no theme.

Chris 19:44
What is the very nature of day 23 Expo sometimes I don’t blame me, but indeed.

Kelli 19:49
I’m just saying it feels a little bit tropical lands

Chris 19:54
of America. Again, not a ton of details here. But we did get an artist’s rendering. This is gonna be replaces Dinah land at Animal Kingdom by

Kelli 20:03
Donna land lease I

Chris 20:04
honestly thought that it was a poorly conceived land from the very start that somehow we’ve got a we’ve got like a fair in the middle of Dinah land makes no sense none of it makes sense. No, I am totally for what they have suggested this is going to be the tropical lands of America I’m feeling very Latin America vibe, we’re going to have what appears to be a casita at home in Kanto themed area a nice, I would love What do you think a walk through attraction for casita? I

Kelli 20:38
mean, it’s gotta if it does, if you walk through I’m gonna need for it to respond to me.

Chris 20:43
Yeah, for sure. Just like the water does over. You make

Kelli 20:48
it you make it fun. This is migratory people can’t see your face right now, but it’s a mandatory face. I’m not talking about I know what I’m talking about. Your face is mandatory.

Chris 20:57
I don’t have that kind of energy today, honey. Absolutely, we should control Casita, we should be able to ask for things. And casita response and we should be able to, I guess, ask for things that’s pretty much they just talked to Casita, right they didn’t like

Kelli 21:12
well, like no like if I if I want to be able to to make you know, roses grow and the wolves or whatever, yeah, like Isabel Right? Or go into like Antonio’s room. And like, that’s a whole ride in there on his animals or whatever is around the tree, right? Yeah. Right. So they could, they could actually turn that dyno land ride into a ride inside Casita, where you’re like going through the rooms of the different people with like, smells and all of that. It’s

Chris 21:43
a good idea. That’s a really good idea. I’m

Kelli 21:44
nothing but good are you are, you are more than good idea that would be good, and make it friendlier to those of us with boobs. So I have to wear such supportive bras.

Chris 21:55
I think that ship has sailed with that ride system.

Kelli 21:58
They can I’m saying they can update it make it smoother, less bumpy mean, do things.

Chris 22:05
I think that Ryan is going to tailor itself to the indie the Indiana Jones stuff that they’re talking about Janna

Kelli 22:11
Jones is in Hollywood Studios.

Chris 22:14
The show is but that’s it.

Kelli 22:17
I don’t think we should bring I don’t think he should have Indiana Jones in two different parts

Chris 22:20
I think you go into that I think that’s gonna happen. So world celebration will officially open in December at Epcot. This is that this is basically the only the truly exciting thing about this is that all the construction walls come down. Right. That’s, that’s exciting. Right to me. And that areas is supposed to be beautiful and much more, much more green and tree covered. Which I think

Kelli 22:46
that’s a welcome needed that yes, for sure.

Chris 22:49
Okay, a new test track. We never ever ride test drive. We don’t we it was sort of one of those things where we did it and we feel like okay, we don’t we did it. It’s fun. Yep, go 60 miles an hour.

Kelli 23:00
I go 60 miles an hour in a car all the time. So great. Yeah, not, not super.

Chris 23:03
So here are some comments or a statement that came out from the 23. About this. I’m excited about this. We have a long standing relationship with Chevrolet, one of the corporate alliance partners who helps us enhance Epcot. They’re very focused on innovation in the future of how we will travel across the planet of ours, this planet of ours, which is why I’m pleased to tell you that we’re working with Chevrolet once again to reimagine the test track experience. They were very involved in spacey original World of Motion. Okay. Ride that was in that pavilion.

Kelli 23:36
It sounds like traveling through time and space type situation. Well,

Chris 23:38
they’re saying that we’re reaching back into the history of this pavilion and taking inspiration from the original World of Motion and bringing the spirit of optimism to the next iteration of test track. I just learned though, I didn’t realize Chevy is actually who partnered with what is the imagination to create the Tron attraction.

Kelli 23:55
Oh, that’s fascinating. I thought that was enterprise. What? I thought no, maybe that’s the people mover is sponsored by enterprise

Chris 24:06
now. Enterprise. Yeah. I don’t know if they still are. But yeah, that it was enterprise that it was still in the people. All right. Well, that’s cool. I had just finished one thing. Yeah,

Kelli 24:13
but very disoriented.

Chris 24:18
King Thanos multiverse jumping ride is going to be a multiverse jumping ride is going to be coming to the Avengers campus. It’ll be the third attraction on the ride. I

Kelli 24:28
jumped into the multiverse so yeah,

Chris 24:30
the ride takes you through you jump multiverses Yes, yes. So that’s going to be coming to Avengers campus in the timeline yet on that, but seems like it’s gonna be super super cool. Of course, the country bear jamboree gets plussed Why don’t you roll your eyes about that

Kelli 24:49
ad plus it. Bless those bears.

Chris 24:51
Why didn’t you roll your eyes now? I did. See also that liver lips and look Raul is going to get a new name. I don’t I didn’t see what his new name is gonna be. Okay? It’s overdue. What’s overdue?

Kelli 25:06
Everything, everything they’re doing to that is overdue. And they’re doing it for people like you that don’t want them to move to cheese. But the reality is, is it may be time for the bears to go. They don’t they are not connected to Disney lore at all doesn’t matter. I’m just saying like if the idea is to promote Disney intellectual property is the

Chris 25:29
idea to kick me while I’m down. Is that what’s going on? No, honey, they’re amazing. It’s an amazing thing. They’re

Kelli 25:35
not taking my input at all. They’re doing what it is you want done with the bears.

Chris 25:41
They’re imagining or envisioning a new take as an homage to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and are working with Nashville musicians to get the authentic country sound they’re looking for. country bear jamboree will still have fun and friendly tone fans and joy and the same famous characters that

Kelli 25:59
when that comes down from the ceiling is gonna be Dolly Parton. They’re gonna give her boobs. Right, you know, right.

Chris 26:07
I think that’s Trixie and big owl. But they’re gonna rename liver lips. Okay, all right. Are You Ready? Ready? Are you done pooping on my bears? Gosh.

Kelli 26:20
Even my music. Okay, so I did this last year, but I’m doing it this year earlier so that people have time. Okay, so, tis the season people. It’s September the 17th. So it’s time to start decorating for Halloween. Oh,

Chris 26:38
right. All right.

Kelli 26:39
So I’m going to tell you where to get your Disney Halloween decor. Okay, now I’m not talking about costumes. I’m not talking about matching sleepwear, and clothing and all that kind of stuff. Okay, we’re just talking about decorating the house. All right, if you want the mansion, sleepwear and all that glue, cool. It’s there, whatever. We’re just talking about decor. Okay, now, when you when you think about Disney Halloween decor, there are five general categories. Okay. Okay. The first is going to be Gen Mickey pumpkins. This is like kid friendly, making pumpkin type decor. The second is going to be haunted mansion themed. Sure. The third is going to be hocus pocus themed. The fourth is going to be Nightmare Before Christmas themed and the fifth is going to be villain themed. Okay. What I will tell you is in my search to gather all of these for you lovely people. There is definitely more in the Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas realm than there is haunted mansion villains or general Mickey pumpkin stuff. Interesting. Now I’m talking about all like officially licensed merchandise. None of this is Bobo stuff. Okay, this is all officially licensed. But what you will notice is if you go to shop disney.com, which is probably where a lot of people start. There’s not a lot out there. There’s plenty of costumes, not a lot out there for decor. There’s some I don’t want to imply there’s not but there’s just it’s not. It’s not an overwhelming amount. And I think the reason is probably because they have licensed this stuff to other retailers or they’re selling things in other places, right. But on shopdisney.com You want to go there and click on Halloween in the main navigation. All right, things there are currently 20% off if you spend $75 or more easy, so they have a haunted mansion weighted throw, which is nice. It’s 12 pound weighted throw, which is good weight 7499 They have a haunted mansion porcelain tray, which is really nice. It kind of looks like a gravestone. 1999 a doormat for 3999 and a haunted mansion cheese board for 5999 which feels expensive to me for a cheese board. But what I will say too, is that this is the most expensive place to get your Halloween decor is it shopdisney.com Even with the 20% off, there is a Jack Skellington tree topper which I liked. But I feel like I could probably make it myself. So yeah, I’m not gonna give $60 for it. Now let’s talk about places that are actually affordable. Okay, okay, so first of all, Kohl’s. Yeah,

Chris 29:16
and you never know what you’re gonna pay there you.

Kelli 29:20
Truth. Truth. Kohl’s actually has a lot of Disney stuff over in their home goods area. But they do have some that is Halloween specific. So they have a Mickey Mouse pumpkin sit about they call it a sit about you and I would call this a dust it’s a pumpkin. In the shape of Mickey with ears. He’s adjustable. He’s about 10 inches around eight by nine by seven. He’s on clearance right now. $12.74 clearance already. Kohl’s is though everything’s full price on Kohl’s. Okay. They have to couch pillows for 1835 they have an LED Color Changing pumpkin like a table topper type situation for 2974 and then they have an oversized throw for 1274 So you see I’m saying like you can get that ductable pumpkin and a throw for less than $25 so you know Kohl’s has some stuff if you’re interested in that and you want to get you know a good deal. If you are an inflatable person, I would say visit Lowe’s Home Depot or Walmart. They seem to be the three kings of inflatable, some really cool stuff going on. They have inflatable hitchhiking ghosts. That is cheapest at Lowe’s Lowe’s has your in hitchhiking ghosts for 9730. This is $140 everywhere else. So Lowe’s has a really good deal on those ghosts. You can get a madam liotta tombstone at Lowe’s also for $89 and a Sanderson Sisters inflatable. oh four seven. All three? Yep, yep. So if you’re wanting inflatables, those are your places to go. Now, spirit Halloween is really the big place. If you’re looking for a lot of options. There’s tons of options. Okay, yes, spirit Halloweens. So I’m going to break these down for you in our separate topics. Okay, so haunted mansion. It’s spirit Halloween. You can get a tabletop bust for 3999 you can get the painting door panels, you know, the

Chris 31:33
singing bus, it doesn’t sink. But it doesn’t sing just one of the one of those but

Kelli 31:37
one of those busts? Yes. One of the door panel that is essentially one of those you know the stretching paintings. So it’s a set of four of those for 3499 The light up mantel scarf, I got that for us last year really cute 1699 doormat. 2199 some really cute doormats out there. Like welcome, foolish mortal, you know, things like that dish towels 1499 a table runner for 9099 or a metallic lace tablecloth full tablecloth? 1699. Really? Yes, you can also get the Madame liotta fleece blanket now this is a circular blanket. It’s heavy. I love this thing. I love the liotta blanket. Okay, it is 1499 What a great deal. Is it a good deal on the map fleece blanket. We also have I like to use them in conjunction with each other 2699 And so this is like your standard rectangular blanket. But it’s a map of the Haunted Mansion, which is I mean, that’s cool. Okay, so that’s going to be your most haunted mansion stuff. So if you’re really looking for haunted mansion Sparrow spirit halloween.com place to go. Absolutely. They have like twice as much stuff for hocus pocus. Wow. Tons of hocus pocus stuff. So again with a lineup mantle scarf, Hocus Pocus 6099. You can get a billy butcher person hanging head for 3999 which I kind of feel like I need. I don’t know why, but I really want Billy’s head to hang. I don’t know. You can also get his tombstone for 4999 So the Billy butchers and stuff is maybe more expensive than I would normally go. You can buy the hocus pocus broom for 2999. I kind of want that.

Chris 33:25
Is it a vacuum cleaner?

Kelli 33:27
No, no, it’s a broom. Okay, next Well Brian, you can get a light up potion bottle of Dead Man’s toes for 1499 which I thought was nice. I’m like 14 Nine. And I mean that’s a mantel topper if I’ve ever seen something that I needed on my mantel, but even better a salt and pepper shaker set. So it says on there like a pinch of salt, a dash of pepper, right and so it looks like potion bottles really cute really needs more salt and pepper shakers. A lot of really great dish towels and doormats. You know there’s a lot of great one liners from hocus pocus. My purse my personal fave is the doormat that says goodbye cruel world. I love that 2199 tabletop cauldron. Oh yeah, who doesn’t need a tabletop cauldron? They also have an entire line of stuff that says Binks is my boo. is pretty good. I love it so much. They have a stemless glass of Binks is my booth stemless class 699 I know really good deal and a reversible sequined pillow for 2990 Nuts has been since my boo I just

Chris 34:33
really probably goes with the other ones we’ve

Kelli 34:35
got really love it. Also a fleece blanket 2699 If you’re looking for the Nightmare Before Christmas, not as popular as the other two. Okay, but a lot of like cups and chalices party decor type stuff interesting. But they do have these little mini light up pumpkins like one that looks like Jack when looks like this Excuse me, Sally, those are 499 so that’s good. You can also get a bottle of deadly nightshade for 1499 Which again, I think would look great on a mantel. Sure. I mean who doesn’t need Deadly Nightshade? Now here’s two that you might not see coming one in particular Hot Topic. Oh which right now 20% off of this stuff on their website. Oh, yeah. Hot Topic has carry some Disney stuff. They absolutely do. So for haunted mansion, they have the stretching portraits, but as hanging banners, here’s the problem they only have two you only get the guys in quicksand and the girl with the umbrella 54 That seems like a miss a mistake there. I’m not gonna buy to stretching portraits I need four but then they have this is so fascinating a water bottle shaped like a milk carton with Jack and Sally on it. So imagine a plastic milk carton right? And it says love you to death on it. Which I just really like. I mean, I just like that. Okay, I kind of wish it said till death do us part but that would be haunted mansion. So Jack and Sally are love you to death. And then if you’re just looking for like a simple way to do something with a pumpkin Target has pumpkin decorating kids. That gives you like the paint and the things you stick in the pumpkin. So you’ve got one that will turn your pumpkin into Jack. Oh one that will turn it into Cindy’s carriage. Oh, wow. And one that’s hocus pocus and those are all $10 I will say the one of Cindy’s carriage is really cute. So $10 very hard for some dad to pretend no no. It’s like stuff that sticks into the pump. Oh like it’s like a plastic. It’s like a plastic kit

Chris 36:54
you turn the pumpkin into like a Mr. Potato Head or something

Kelli 36:57
right essentially Yes, essentially that’s it and so you got like all the stuff that turns it into Cindy’s carriage. It’s a really it’s a cute thing. Honestly. It’s a nice touch. That one’s my favorite.

Chris 37:08
Um, I’m already for Halloween. No,

Kelli 37:10
good. I’m glad.

Chris 37:11
I think we need that that reversible sequin pillow for the couch.

Kelli 37:15
Okay, well. The Leotta throw upstairs a

Chris 37:19
sentence I thought I’d never say by the way that

Kelli 37:21
we need the reversible sequin pillow for the couch.
