Hello out there Disney fam. My name is Chris and I’m Kelly. Welcome to this week’s episode of Supercalifragilistic awesome Disney podcast. Kelly is going with her are two d two ears today. Ears is ears. It’s
Kelli 0:47
an RTD two has really an RTG to Hey, yeah,
Chris 0:50
it’s a little caddywhompus on your head looks pretty cute.
Kelli 0:52
It used to make really cute sounds. I think the batteries are dead. But either way I am. Absolutely on topic. I’m talking about Star Wars. That’s
Chris 1:03
awesome. We know how much you love to talk about something that you are so into.
Kelli 1:07
I’m into it and I know all about it.
Chris 1:09
It’s really cute when you’re walking around the park and that little had this little noises It’s not
Kelli 1:13
gonna happen this year because it is so paint. It’s really heavy thing is heavy and it grips your head like a vise. So, no, that’s not gonna get packed in the suitcase for
Chris 1:26
now. All right, good. Good. You want to know where we had listeners? I
Kelli 1:29
do, please. We
Chris 1:29
had listeners in Woodbury, Minnesota. It’s a beautiful little town nine miles east of St. Paul. Sounds adorbs it’s it’s Minnesota’s eighth most populous city. Okay, what
Kelli 1:40
Barry welcome with Behringer media
Chris 1:42
Pennsylvania. 13 miles west of Philly, where media is located on the 6000 which looks frankly like just the quintessential American town. Honestly,
Kelli 1:53
I thought you’re gonna say home to 6000 different media organizations.
Chris 1:56
It’s should be. It should be. Madison, Alabama, just outside of Huntsville, Alabama, not far from the Bama and Tennessee border. Kind of a cool area if you’ve never been there. Because Huntsville has played such a huge role in the US Space Exploration Program. Seems weird, but it’s there and it is a cool place to visit. Visit. Just visit us visit frankly. I had a great time visiting Reigate UK. I guess that’s how you pronounce it. Reigate is a town in Surrey, England, about 90 miles south. Yeah. About 90 miles south of central London. Okay, settled according to the Domesday Book in 1086. As chair chef belly
Kelli 2:48
church carefully,
Chris 2:50
yeah, sure that’s not right. Then at first appears with its modern name in the 1190s. I mean, these places are old, right, like a lot of old. It was famous back then for its large oatmeal trade in the 16th century
Kelli 3:03
large oatmeal tray that you wouldn’t you would have known that unless you listen to what and wouldn’t have known that. You’re welcome. Do you
Chris 3:11
want to hear about the main street action? Yes, please. All right. So, you know that we talked about this, this community this, this being sort of earmarked for affordable housing? Yep. In Florida. It passed with a really close vote a couple of weeks back the to go ahead and start building local communities voted on it and community leaders rather, and it just barely passed. And they had lots of local community folks come and speak out against building this as silly as people do when you’re going to build affordable housing. In an area where there’s not affordable housing, people often speak out against that they love the idea of affordable housing and bring in the wrong type just go and bring in some riffraff I guess, you know, they’re all for affordable housing. Just don’t don’t bring it close to me. You know that. That’s what I envisioned. So there’s a meeting this coming on March 18. There’s a meeting to engage the community and sort of speak to some of their concerns and fears this is Disney promise to continue to engage with the community as they went through this prospect. And this is one of those meetings. So it’s already been voted for, but they do want to quell some of the concerns I guess. This housing will be available to cast members but it’s not exclusively for cast members. And that speaks to the fact that the cast members often need affordable housing. Bob Iger is going to participate in a question and answer session at the Morgan Stanley technology media and telecom conference this Tuesday. It started about 1:15pm Eastern time. If you want to follow it, I’m sure there’s a way to watch it online or to follow up after the fact. But it’s always interesting when Iger takes questions, I’ll be interesting to see if somebody asks about Park expansion. And, you know, they’ve got this, this board vote coming up to and I’m sure that that’ll be part of the conversation there, get some activists board, hopefuls that are trying to get in there and cause a ruckus that most people are against, okay. Um, Walt Disney World ticket prices will increase in 2025, the cheapest single day Park ticket will increase from 109 to $119. So $10 increase, increase. It’ll be the first ticket price increase since 2022. And for the record, Universal Orlando increased their one day single park ticket from 109 to $119. This past November. Okay, so So keeping up with the Joneses, staying with the times there was a there’s something called the House of Mouse Expo that was happening this weekend. They I don’t know much about this group. I think it was founded by just a couple that really loves Disney. So they started an expo, which is cool. So we should do that. But at this expo, it was learned that the voices of the official Disney voices for Mickey and Minnie, have both auditioned to be a part of are you ready? Are you sitting down? I am the country bear jamboree show.
Kelli 6:39
Oh my gosh. The bears made them audition.
Chris 6:46
They got clout, man.
Kelli 6:49
That feels. I mean,
Chris 6:52
I think that that’s the spin that Mickey and Minnie have put on it. I think that I think Mickey and Minnie probably said, Hey, here’s what they say. Hey, there. We were going to be in your show. But don’t you worry. We’re going to tell the world that we auditioned I think that’s probably how it went down.
Kelli 7:15
The bears made the mice all dish. I mean, that’s pretty bold. That tells you they’re like we’re getting new AV. So I’m gonna need for you to audition. So you can see Did you see the protests that happened when they said they’re gonna take us away? Right? We are beloved bears. We are nothing to do with the dance.
Chris 7:35
You’re gonna be able to keep up with Jr. on the thing, or whatever it is that he plays.
Kelli 7:42
Oh, that’s fantastic. That’s
Chris 7:44
fantastic. Sounds just like a guitar but only has one string. Oh, my goodness. Sounds if you’re gonna keep up with him. You better you got to audition? You can’t bring the show down. Just because
Kelli 7:53
you can. Can Mickey and Minnie play an instrument?
Chris 7:57
Can they? Can they sing it all?
Kelli 7:59
I don’t know. I’ve never I don’t know that I’ve ever heard them say exactly. Like I definitely don’t know that I’ve ever heard them play an instrument.
Chris 8:05
I think I’ve heard them sing. But it’s been like singing in the shower or singing them while they’re doing stuff or whatever. They
Kelli 8:10
don’t have five fingers. I don’t think the guitar is going to be look like their, their instrument.
Chris 8:16
The bears have figured out how to play. The thing is like a guitar but only has one string. They don’t need five fingers. They just
Kelli 8:22
have five fingers. Do they? Yes. Um,
Chris 8:25
are we sure I feel we should Google that. But I
Kelli 8:29
mean, not necessarily. Like you need five fingers. It’s ridiculous.
Chris 8:37
Just saying that. I don’t think that you had to have five fingers to play the instruments that they’re playing anyway.
Kelli 8:42
I mean, they’re playing stringed instruments. You’re playing one.
Chris 8:45
They literally have one string of out of all the instruments one string multiples one of them had like, oh, I guess some of you have other guitars and whatnot.
Kelli 8:55
On the water has just the one string. Yes, but Right. Most of them have multiple strings.
Chris 9:03
And some of them play washboard they
Kelli 9:05
do but I’m gonna play Denise hands they also don’t have like nails. Like I just don’t know how they’re going to
Chris 9:12
you know that they’re they’re auditioning with their voices, honey. You
Kelli 9:16
don’t know that. Maybe they’re auditioning as dancers. I just think it’s awful brazen that the bears made the mice audition is what I’m saying. I just think that’s fairly bold, since they’re not even in the Disney canon to be like, yeah, I get it. I got a movie. Everything’s built on the back of the mouse but I’m gonna need for you to audition or
Chris 9:37
shows really really great and not just anybody can be in it
Kelli 9:44
I just didn’t know the bears were that select?
Chris 9:46
Well, now you do. Now you know why that show is always so good. Every time we go in there, oh yeah. The Flower and Garden Festival as kicked off and I’ll run through May the 27th Eighth We’re gonna be where we are with that all the topiaries are out. I cannot wait to see all the topiaries as soon as I didn’t know, I’d say ever. But you know, Disney just brings it out of me.
Kelli 10:11
People are really upset that this is not going through the first week
Chris 10:14
of June. I know they are. I know they are. I
Kelli 10:17
mean, if you go to like Disney Parks blog and you look at all of the food and stuff, all of the comments on the blog are like dBc members, we book our vacations way in advance and we thought it would still be there in June and that’s what we’re coming for
Chris 10:31
and be there when the kids get out of school. We still want to go ers and
Kelli 10:34
what have you all of that. So, yeah, people are upset about that. Yeah,
Chris 10:39
I get it. I totally get it. There’s a whole month of of non festival happenings there
Kelli 10:45
people are really upset about it.
Chris 10:47
Well with the festival they have reintroduced the incanto Spaceship Earth show and the Pocahontas Spaceship Earth show these were from previous years. They’re just bringing them out bringing them back from previous years. And it’s especially cool this year because they’ve incorporated all the lighting in the New World celebration area that world celebration gardens area. They’ve got these light poles and in ground lighting these light pads in the ground that light up along with Spaceship Earth. I can’t wait to see these shows from there. Yeah,
Kelli 11:22
I agree.
Chris 11:24
Um, let’s see what else are there’s there’s a couple of new gardens that are out and about the festival. China has introduced a pinching garden this is like a bonsai garden except expands out into multiple bonsai trees, rocks, little figurines all sorts of landscape is what pinching is like bonsai for an entire landscape. That’s cool. It’s very cool your
Kelli 11:51
front yard like that honey, I think so to be very, very Xin I
Chris 11:54
think it would be the amount of work that we’re not interested in for our yard.
Kelli 11:59
We’d have to hire that out. Yeah.
Chris 12:02
So the lagoon by the way, the World Showcase is empty. No bars is no nothing. Right water just water okay, but
Kelli 12:10
it has water it
Chris 12:11
just has what it does have water okay. That that is it. Okay, just mean I just mean no barges mean that luminous show they now they’ve got it working so that the barges are in and out. So all those people are all the time they don’t stay there all the time. The central bars barges we they do man they Hey, the bar charges Hey, barges and even if you have them lined up and do shows and stuff, they paid a barge don’t like
Kelli 12:33
barges, they should have come up with a different word for them not barges, they should have called them something different. Like we can help like magical platforms. I don’t. I don’t think people really hate him.
Chris 12:44
Well, people would say if they were magical, they disappear. So in any case, I gather on the show supposedly not as good, but there’s no barges obstructing my precious eyesight.
Kelli 12:56
Because Because what I love to do is stare at the look in
Chris 13:01
the gateway to discovery Disney Vacation Club location has opened up at Disney Springs. I didn’t know this thing was even coming. But it’s a place where people can go and learn more about DVC. Later in the spring, though, there’s going to be a second floor where DVC members can go and there’ll be like a lounge up there to be cool. So I’m gonna be open when we’re there. But this is not the new the official new DVC lounge location that we talked about a few weeks back.
Kelli 13:26
Yes, more DVC lounges. I’m totally fourth. I’m totally
Chris 13:29
for all all the DVC lounges. One last little bit here. Disney announced that starting next year, if you’re staying at a Disney Resort, on your day of arrival, you get complimentary access to the waterparks. That’s cool. That’s a good idea.
Kelli 13:44
That’s very cool.
Chris 13:45
I like that really good idea.
Kelli 13:46
Yep. Yep, I like that.
Chris 13:48
All right. I’m ready for your Star Wars adjacent. No, I didn’t. So Marlene says on on top on brand Star Wars topic.
Kelli 13:59
So I’m Tomorrowland. And once again, I’m playing fast and loose with the SEC Jr. I’m talking about docking bay seven. Oh, we’ve been there. We’ve been to docking bay seven but all I ever get is the captain hummus PLAs effect and it’s because that’s the best dish on Disney property.
Chris 14:16
Oh, all dishes.
Kelli 14:17
So originally when I’m putting this together, I was like maybe I’ll try something different this time you all and I’m looking at the menu and I’m like, I’m not but I will tell everybody else. What other dishes are. Okay, so that so this is Tomorrowland because I have not yet tried any of these dishes, because they kept it in hummus. Really so good. Turning
Chris 14:35
ourselves into pretzels to get there but that’s fine. It’s your podcast.
Kelli 14:38
So first of all, they still have the light up acid spitter or Sipper with the lanyard. Now we’ve got one of those right it’s like the orb. You’ve got it in your office. Oh, yeah, it was a little buggy looking like thing on the
Chris 14:54
side of it. This is like this was Java the huts thing where he ate frogs out of
Kelli 14:59
Okay. It’s a it’s an acid spitter orb zipper. Yeah. With the lanyard Okay, not Java the huts thing I’ve renamed as well, okay. All right. So you can get this with two different things you can get it with Muth juice for 1999 or you can get it with any of the Coke products for 1879 I continue to be surprised by by things like that, like why is this $1.20 cheaper? And who did the math to say it needs to be 79 instead of 1899 and why not just maximize those profits and make everything 9099 But whatever. So I’m going to describe for you move juice okay, this comes from the the fandom wiki.
Chris 15:46
Oh,
Kelli 15:47
the Star Wars fandom wiki. Okay, so are you ready for this? Move juice is slightly for is fruity, slightly spicy, orange colored non alcoholic beverage, which was served at docking bay seven food and cargo in the black spire outpost on the Outer Rim planet bear two,
Chris 16:05
which is where we’re going.
Kelli 16:07
Sometimes during the war between the First Order and the resistance docking bay seven was rented out by strano tugs to set up his mobile eatery tugs grub from which he served the beverage Do you know strona I do not know strona And you call yourself a fan? I know it was suitable for human consumption. Good news nearly probably all the move juice shared its name with the moose species. It was not to be confused with Moose milk. Okay, Sylvester Yarrow and Emery Cantara has enjoyed glasses of Muth juice while on course Scott
Chris 16:46
or Assan
Kelli 16:47
it’s not how it’s either.
Chris 16:49
Okay from time to time the SSC together
Kelli 16:52
so you know, Silvestri and Emery who were not but I know CoreSite on course okay, I know of course. All right. So I don’t know if I’m going to try move to use I haven’t decided yet. I don’t think I’m like okay, you should. So here are a few things you can order if you decide to not order the best item on the menu. Okay, so first you can get back to on beef and crispy topicto stir fry. This is smoky braised beef glazed and a tamarind sauce. Serve with stir fried mushrooms and veggies, crispy herb Yuka pickled onions and cilantro. You’re not gonna get that. But it’s at 99 cilantro tastes like soap. Yep. The next one is a pika tuna pokey. That’s hard to say. That’d be fun to order.
Chris 17:38
Yeah, it’s tuna. Pokeball right. So
Kelli 17:40
this is Raul tuna tossed in a spicy Sriracha dressing. Served with a green papaya salad, pickled mushrooms fresh herbs and a crispy and crispy garlic. Oh, I think oh, this sounds good. 1699 Yeah, no, no. 1849
Chris 17:57
Okay. Well, then I’m not getting it. Next,
Kelli 18:02
the smoked cod do pork ribs. This is pork ribs brush with tangy barbecue sauce and serve with a blueberry corn muffin and red cabbage slaw. That’s 1699
Chris 18:13
I like that better.
Kelli 18:14
Okay. The fried in Dorian chicken tip. Yep. This is crispy chicken served with a housemaid macaroni and cheese and roasted vegetables.
Chris 18:27
So this is the one I think like the chicken looks like Uber processed but it’s supposed to be really good. It’s
Kelli 18:34
like I’m Dorian chicken.
Chris 18:35
I don’t know what an indoor indoor I don’t know what an indoor chicken really looks like. So maybe it looks just like that. Or maybe
Kelli 18:41
the Andorians over processed their food. Maybe
Chris 18:43
that’s true. So know how the Andorians process is fair. But I think it’s like a it’s like a perfectly cubed rectangle shape.
Kelli 18:51
I could see that. It feels very Andorian It feels very Saurian to
Chris 18:56
me. Yeah, no
Kelli 18:57
and I would definitely call that a tip. Yep, definitely a rectangular shaped. So next another chicken tip. Yep, this is per John nod. Hot Chicken tip. Yep. So this is crispy chicken glazed and a spicy chipotle sauce and served with white rice and a relish of sweet corn shishito peppers, hit come up plantains and cilantro 629. So either the chicken tips are 616 29 Okay, if you’re going for rectangular. The Andorians also have a roasted chicken salad, roasted and Dorien chicken salad. It’s gonna be marinated chicken mixed greens, shaved onion, radish, grapes, tomato and cucumber in a citrus pomegranate vinaigrette with a spiced yogurt drizzle. That sounds delicious. It really does sound special. And it’s 1479 and so this is what I’m saying right docking by seven is a dark horse. It is because these are these are not your tip. You’re not getting
Chris 19:56
you’re not getting any of this anywhere else.
Kelli 19:58
No, no Is there good good news for you honey at dinner? You can also get the ronto round Yes, I’m aware roasted pork grilled pork sausage peppercorn sauce and a tangy slaw wrapped in pita bread and serve a side of chips. It’s available eat ham after 3pm It’s good docking bay seven that’s 1399 Those all sound like delectable dishes. Yes, none of them are as good as the solution kefta and hummus garden spread. So this is the only plant based item on the menu, which is why I’m not going to venture Sure. But also if you know this is the best item on the menu like why would you get anything
Chris 20:36
it’s plant based but it also in your view is is just the best. The best thing the best meal
Kelli 20:44
on property. It’s the best meal and how much? Huh?
Chris 20:48
How much? It is 1329
It’s definitely the best meal on property for 1329
Kelli 20:53
It’s plant based meatballs, Herb hummus, tomato, cucumber relish and Pita this pita is warmed it’s it’s perfect, still triangular shaped. I can’t say enough about the Catalan hummus garden spread. I will plan the day around it. Yes,
Chris 21:06
that’s that’s it’s that good.
Kelli 21:09
Now for the sides. You can get a blueberry corn muffin, which sounds very interesting. I might try to make those 499 Crispy or Buca 499 or white rice Yuka also interesting are the kids meals. You can get Ithorian pasta rings Ithorian Ithorian, which comes with plant based meat marinara sauce and pasta with a site of roasted vegetables and your choice of milk or water. But what sounds really good is the taco Dona veggie dippers, black bean hummus edible soil with nuts, chilled dipping vegetables and multi grain chips with a side of ranch in quotes dressing served with milk or water. I don’t know why Ranch is in quotes. Yeah, but whatever 879 That I would I would try that. Okay. If they ran out of the captain hummus plan. You can also get the outpost puff which is a chocolate pastry filled with blocky yo chocolate mousse, finished with a Thai tea pannacotta spice pan apple and confectionery debri which I just like saying that I
Chris 22:16
know now I’m thinking I’m getting this mixed up with the chocolate thing we ate had the purple stuff on. They
Kelli 22:23
have different pastries and stuff each time. So this is 779 I think this is the new thing. They also have some alcoholic beverages which I’ve never gotten but they have the taco Dona quencher this is going to be Bacardi dragon berry rum, Blue Curacao, simply orange with pineapple and kiwi for $17. It’s just delicious. They also have a gold squadron lager, which is a golden lager with lavender and plum flavors for 1450. But I think I might try the surly sarlacc which is Ketel One botanical grapefruit and Rose vodka. I know what the Sarlacc is. Made it made Limeade raspberry in spicy mango flavors for $15 the surly sarlacc you know the Sarlacc Okay, well, I think I’m gonna give that a go. I’ve never done that.
Chris 23:11
Is this place not is this not where we also got the Cocoa Puffs coffee thing? No,
Kelli 23:15
you got that outside and brought it to you. You got we were recording that day. And you got you went outside for all the milks and and the coffee probably I blue milk puffs. And we tried all of those. Yeah. Yeah. So I mean, I do think it’s interesting that we’ve got move juice and move milk. I don’t know that they serve move milk, anywhere. But you’re saying you’re going to try the move juice? Yeah. This early sarlacc
Chris 23:46
I think we’ll both try those. And then one of us will drink all of whatever’s left we your
Kelli 23:51
your move. Juice doesn’t have alcohol.
Chris 23:57
Screw moved. I thought this was medicinal.
Kelli 24:04
No, this one that was not therapeutic. Okay.
Chris 24:13
Oh, boy. Oh, boy. All right. First off, I’d like to just shout out to and thank the sources for my segment. That’s me. This is all me. I did all this. Thank you. Me. So you’re coming up with these making yourself? Yes. Because these are the five things I’m most excited about doing for our on our trip this next time that we’ve done before, okay, because I’m sticking to the rules that we came up with when we launched this podcast three years ago.
Kelli 24:48
Roughly, I don’t know why you are so bent on the road. I
Chris 24:53
tried to change them all the time. I know. So in any case, some might say I just found this in but that’s okay. It’s my show. All right, so the five things I’m most excited about and I think it’s interesting that only one of these actually takes place in the parks.
Kelli 25:10
Oh, that is interesting. Yeah. Okay, let’s hear it.
Chris 25:13
So the first thing is staying at the Riviera. Yeah, I am so excited. I mean, I still firmly am in team Polly firmly on Team Boardwalk. But really air is right there man. And I am so excited that we’re gonna stay there for the length of our stay. Not bouncing around. It’s got some of those beautiful grounds of any resort on property. And part of that is because it is so adjacent to Caribbean beach. Caribbean Beach Resort. While it’s you know, requires lots of walking around is still one of the most beautiful resorts on property. And this they actually eliminated one section of of rooms at Caribbean beach to build Riviera. So it gets take advantage of that but also the grounds you know, immediately there around Riviera are so French and so pretty. That it’s it’s just a great place to stay. If you’re on the upper floors. The views are so beautiful.
Kelli 26:16
I designed my Plaza and dreamlike valley to look like the area in front of the Riviera. Yes off of your suggestion. You suggest it and it’s brilliant. I will not change a thing about my Plaza.
Chris 26:26
Yeah, they’ve got they’ve got the gaming lawn, they got it and then they turn that into their movie. Being right with the water behind. It’s just great to pools is just really beautiful. The food totally knows terrace is great. It’s just a really great place to stay and it’s also fairly compact compared to a lot of the resorts. So there you don’t have to walk very far to get to Skyliner you don’t have to walk very far to get to the buses. It’s just a really comfortable, beautiful place to stay. And I am all for it. They’ve also got in the villas, the bathtubs have Jacuzzis.
Kelli 27:03
I’m excited about the how you do you’d forgotten about that. Just I just miss a bathtub.
Chris 27:08
I know. Well, you can. Starting a week from today. You can bath it up every night to because I know you will love a bath. I know you will you used it like crazy for those.
Kelli 27:19
I did. I love abaft
Chris 27:23
we missed that. Okay, so number two, you ready? brunch at art Smith’s
Kelli 27:30
except we’re having lunch. Okay, well,
Chris 27:33
they’re gonna give me a brunch menu for sure. Okay. Why would you do that?
Kelli 27:39
Based on the time, why would you
Chris 27:40
do that? To me? It’s based on the time we got the reservations we got what time are we going? I want to say 150 They’ll be still serving brunch. They’re gonna help me out. I’m gonna show my card with the person’s name on it. And then they’re gonna bring me a brunch menu. They will have just finished serving brunch. Okay, I’m gonna get a hallelujah biscuit. There one way or the other. I’m coming. I’m getting a hallelujah. Okay, this is an open faced biscuit. To one of their little cheddar cat head biscuits. Topped with Chef arts famous fried chicken. Come on now. I know to overeasy eggs pimento cheese, pecan, smoked bacon and all of that. It’s just smothered and white gravy, solid milk gravy. Yeah. I better get that. I’m looking you right in the eye. If you mess that up.
Kelli 28:29
I got I want grits because they had. Okay, and and our reservation says lunch.
Chris 28:36
I’m gonna I’m gonna wash that down with sweet tea shine. I’m gonna drink
Kelli 28:40
the sweet tea shine show.
Chris 28:43
Fill it up. And we’ll walk over see that chef will come out of that show. Or walk right back over to art Smith’s it’s a filler up again, boss,
Kelli 28:51
we need to look at make sure we can carry containers into the Drawn to Life show. What are they gonna do? They would make me drink. They would make me not bring it in. And then if you can’t bring it in and you can’t get a refill afterwards. These are things that need to be considered
Chris 29:08
figure something out. Yep. All right. So art Smith’s for brunch. Okay. Very nervous now that I might make a scene there.
Kelli 29:20
Me To
Chris 29:22
The DVC lounge at bay like is my number three? Yeah, okay. Right now it’s the villains lair. Yeah, at the top of Bay Lake. This is the way they describe discover the untold story of this covert hideout for some of Disney’s most dastardly villains even even the ruthless relax. Whether pursuing puppies or stealing souls messing with a mermaid or belittling a beast. Evil doing is exhausting. And since a dishonest day’s work, Agree. Agree. Yes, it’s exhausting for everybody else to do So yeah, I want to go back up there and I want to we hadn’t been there. We’ve only done it once. And Tuesday night of our stay is like, I think it was a perfect opportunity for you and I had to go to dinner. Which by the way, it’s another wonderful thing about Riviera is that the other folks stay and they get to get a good night’s swimming and watch the movies while you and I go to the DVC lounge.
Kelli 30:22
I’m excited about it same
Chris 30:25
Okay. This one is going to be considered by some to be silly, but not for me.
Kelli 30:31
No,
Chris 30:32
you will think boat rides to the Magic Kingdom and wherever else I want to go.
Kelli 30:38
Not sailing. Boat is the preferred transportation I prefer.
Chris 30:43
I think boat is the preferred transportation in all opportunities. That’s
Kelli 30:47
the way to go. I will also do the Skyliner but I avoid the buses at all costs.
Chris 30:53
I know I know you do and good for you for sentimental principles. But I go so far as to say that I will Uber from the Riviera to poly so that I can then a experienced poly and boot Tiki just so I can get on the little boat there that goes from Polly to the Magic Kingdom. And then I will leave Magic Kingdom midday go get back on the boat ride back across Seven Seas Lagoon to go do a little shopping at Blue Tiki maybe. And then come back again. Sure just for the opportunity to ride around on those boats. It is so beautiful. It’s so leisurely. I just I just cannot wait
Kelli 31:32
and when we’re there the temperature will be perfect for it. I’ve already looked at the weather. I was wondering maybe mid seven mid to high seven. Oh yes. In the mornings it’ll be high 50s low 60s. And throughout the day mid to high 70s It’s going to be perfection is going to be perfection and be perfection. I did order some ponchos because it looks like it could be rainy. And you know how that works out. We go to the parks in the rain. I mean pack pack more than one pair of shoes because we’re going to the bar that’s
Chris 32:01
right. That’s right. And we will sit there in a hurricane if that’s what it requires. I mean a downpour they don’t close stuff don’t sit on a bench in the rain we’ve got good pictures of us just
Kelli 32:14
oh my gosh go get some tea at the Jaffa ease and have a seat on the bench with your poncho like what else are you going to do? Nobody else is using this go
Chris 32:23
ride the boats back and forth across seven seas again. I mean, take a boat out to take a boat out to Fort wilderness
Kelli 32:31
days. Right if it rains it rains. Put on the poncho bring extra shoes and you
Chris 32:36
bought the ticket anyway. Yep. Yep. So yeah, just all the reasons to ride the boats. I prefer the small boat at least from the pier there in front of the pool that poly but the ferries are nice too. But I prefer the little small
Kelli 32:52
but I prefer this are those that a friendship boat?
Chris 32:54
Well, the friendships the friendships, go to the boardwalk from boardwalk and Yacht Club to Epcot. And then and then across the Epcot lagoon there to the World Showcase. Again, the friendships operate there, too, especially to dodge all those barges. Gosh, alright, so my last item here. My last item are the nighttime spectaculars that we’ve seen Okay, yeah. Happily ever after the Magic Kingdom. And of course Fantasmic the new FinTech I literally watched it on YouTube two nights ago. Just we haven’t seen the new fantast Yes, we have. Oh, we
Kelli 33:33
have the
Chris 33:34
last time we were there. That was when they had just sort of relaunched it but I can’t get enough of it. Okay, and then supposedly they got new spotlights and whatnot for for happily ever after. That just are brighter and more vibrant and look amazing for the show. And also I don’t feel like I really got to absorb the the feeling of being on Main Street when all the projection graphics surrounds you on Main Street. Right. I want to really be in the moment for that this if you don’t mind. Can I feel be in the moment it might just be all about me in that moment. Do it
Kelli 34:09
but do it. Try not to 100% do it. Yeah, I’m for it. So we’re
Chris 34:15
staying at the Riviera brunch at art Smith’s how live with lunch if I have to. The DVC lounge Are you up for doing that? Yeah, honestly,
Kelli 34:24
I’d forgotten about it. But I’m totally down for that.
Chris 34:27
Yeah, we I think we have dinner at seven that night. Yeah, so I don’t know what time fireworks are but we got to eat dinner. Get over to balay get up there. Okay, got room for us. Honey
Kelli 34:35
at the dinner that we’re doing is like a show. This is like a Snow White situation.
Chris 34:40
Are you always trying to?
Kelli 34:41
I’m just telling you like we need I want to embrace that too, because it’s going to be kind of expensive and we never see we never we never we’ve never been there. Snow is very marginalized and we’re going to her entire dinner. So I really feel like we need to give snow. Give her her time. Her time.
Chris 34:56
Okay, all right.
Kelli 34:57
Don’t try to rush snow.
Chris 35:01
