Episode Transcript:

Chris 0:27
Welcome aboard Disney fam. Welcome aboard indeed. Happy New Year. It is New Year’s Eve. We’re gonna roll into 2022 and about four hours and 42 minutes as we’re recording, right?

Kelli 0:44
Yes.

Chris 0:45
And yes, my name is Chris. And I’m Kelly. And you are rockin some very shiny annual Passholder Shanghai year they

Kelli 0:56
are Yes. This is another one of my fun eBay finds you can find like Disneyland Shanghai ears out there for like $12. That’s awesome. And I love it so much. So yeah, these are annual Passholder ears and they’ve got like pink gold and blue sequins with like a shiny blue bow. Again, I’m not usually a bow and sequined kind of girl. But there’s no sequins on the headband, which meets my criteria. They

Chris 1:20
can blue headband. Yeah. And it’s very, it’s very celebratory as we bring it in. Yeah.

Kelli 1:26
And I like the annual Passholder little thing in the middle of above.

Chris 1:30
You know what I like? Who listens to us? I do very much. I do love that people listen to us. And this week, we had downloads from West Bloomfield, Michigan. Oh, which is a suburb of Detroit. Round Hill, Virginia. Round Hill, 50 miles northwest of DC population. Are You Ready? Ready? 539 Wow.

Kelli 1:54
Well, welcome Round Hill, Round

Chris 1:57
Hill. Did all of you download tastic I love this one. Saratoga Springs, Utah. I mean, people think of Saratoga Springs, Florida. Yeah. Well, they think of the hotel or they think of I think Saratoga Springs in New York where the horse races are.

Kelli 2:12
Okay. Well, I don’t know why I would think Florida but probably because challenged bar

Chris 2:16
but probably the resort it Disney. Which is why I just like a whole town to me, which is why I saw it and thought, oh my gosh, I gotta say that one. Okay, and it’s on. It’s written the Provo metro area on the shores of Utah Lake. Okay. And then this one, which I love. There’s a download here. I just hope I don’t screw it up. And forgive me if I do. Gotta worry. Victoria, Australia. Ah, not too far from Melbourne. Sweet. Love it on the opposite. It’s already next year there. That’s

Kelli 2:50
fantastic. That’s fantastic. So hey,

Chris 2:53
I’m gonna I’m gonna roll into the news. But we’re gonna do a little thank you for the like, this amazingly hard year that we all have endured? Yes, it is. Yes. It has felt like a decade. But we are just so grateful for the people who chose to, to hang out on this podcast with us. We love doing this thing. And I thought I’d just run through two things that I loved about doing this this year. We announced you know, cities at the beginning just like we just did. We announced since we started the podcast, we’ve announced 206 unique cities that we’ve called out on the show. How cool is that? We have that’s not even all the unique cities that we see downloads from but we’ve announced 206 unique cities on the show which is fantastic in that represent. And we’ve had downloads from 56 different countries, which is awesome. I love that and one on one little country. Radio, y’all. France looks like reunion. But it’s it’s a little French island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. It just you can’t even see it hardly on a map. It’s download. Yeah, we had a download from you didn’t say them. I don’t. I’ve never said that them at all. I just noticed in the list of countries. That’s fantast Yeah, it’s really cool. It’s east of Madagascar. Okay, it’s really cool. We also launched our new YouTube format this year, and we’re just just really overwhelmed with gratitude for all the people that have have come on this with us. We

Kelli 4:30
have Yes, and I’m super excited to make some YouTube videos when we’re at Disney next. Yeah,

Chris 4:35
for sure. For sure. Okay, so on with the news. Hey, a little bit of sad news. We lost Disney legend and national treasure frankly, Betty White today. I love her so much. So, so sad.

Kelli 4:50
I’m so glad that she died peacefully in her home overnight. Yeah. So I’m grateful for that. She she she’s gonna be

Chris 4:58
Miss Yeah. 99 And she’s just like, I think 14 or 19 days short of her, her 100th birthday, but someone figured out they’re like, she’s basically experienced like 24 leap years. So if you take those 24 extra days and add it all, she was 100 That’s

Kelli 5:14
all I saw this I saw this online so I’m just gonna this is an original for me but thank you for being a friend Betty White

Chris 5:24
I think her most underrated maybe I think this was a touchstone picture which is on by Disney was as grandma Annie in the proposal. You remember the proposal? Oh my goodness super underrated role. spelled the same in that course she did. She also played. She won Emmy after me for just about everything she ever appeared on going back to the 50s. She won Emmys for her performances. But like most recently, she joined the voice cast in Toy Story for where it was a character they created just for her. It was a toy tiger named bidi. White.

Kelli 6:04
It’s fantastic. To watch Toy Story

Chris 6:10
is so good. It’s so good sounds. So you gotta be Miss reading. We love Betty White, and we will miss her. Okay, so Disney Parks if you’re listening right now, which you won’t be, but Disney Parks is on a live stream. I think their fantasy in the sky fireworks for New Year celebrations tonight on the Disney parks like streaming go to YouTube or Insta or wherever. at 1150 tonight, and you can see the live fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.

Kelli 6:39
Right. So just to be clear, we’re recording this on New Year’s Eve. Yeah. So hey, listen to this next week. Go back and watch it too, then that’s not what we’re talking about.

Chris 6:47
Yeah, go back and watch it though. It’ll be out there. Okay. COVID-19 is just ravaging Florida course. On December 29. Two, three days Two days ago, they set an all time record for single day infections at almost 47,000 And just because Florida man is what Florida man he is they broke that record the very next day with 58,000 cases. That was yesterday. So here we come Florida next week. Hey, you know we don’t harp on this a lot. But get your vaccines get your boosters wear a mask. Do it for everybody else.

Kelli 7:21
I mean, we’ve done all of that. And we will be masking and and using hand sanitizer. Like it is our job while we’re there. I mean,

Chris 7:28
they just treat it like we would treat any other like natural disaster hurricane where we all come together and help each other out. Yes. Um, yesterday, and today, all four Disney Parks hit capacity and stop selling tickets.

Kelli 7:45
Oh my goodness. I’m not surprised though. I mean, they’ve been saying that the week after Christmas was going to be disastrous for over a month. Always

Chris 7:53
is Christmas week is in between there and New Year’s kids are

Kelli 7:58
out of school. You can give them the gift of Disney for Christmas and then hop on a plane who doesn’t want that magic?

Chris 8:05
I know actually my brother is there I know and he says it is like chock a block full it is like nothing he’s ever seen in terms of that much humanity all in one spot. I

Kelli 8:17
believe it man I believe it. So

Chris 8:19
Sweet baby Jesus. Please let all those people go home on Sunday. Y’all

Kelli 8:23
should all go home because your kids need to go to school. They do get those kids

Chris 8:27
back in school. You know you want them their D 23 published their list of things that we’re looking forward to see getting launched in 2022 Okay, they do this kind of thing every year. It might be a good little bonus episode if we ever get around to doing bonus episodes. Conspicuously absent was the Tron lightcycle I thought you’re gonna say Tron. Yeah, and it is not in the list of things to open next year. Now last year for the same list for 2021 they also left off the Guardians of the Galaxy cosmic rewind, despite the fact that Disney was saying that because Iran would open this year in 2021 and it ever did so right

Kelli 9:13
so d two three seems to really have some type of an inside track

Chris 9:17
I do they seem to know just know Yeah, I believe them like the shadow they know gosh But speaking of Tron, the the entrance structures apparently starting to take shape and I cannot wait to see

Kelli 9:33
Yeah, that’s fun to see more there. Yeah, if you haven’t already follow us then you know, be sure to follow us while we’re there. The week of January 2 Because we’re gonna be doing Insta Stories and all that fun stuff. So we’ll show you we’ll show you show you some of

Chris 9:45
this. Yep. Disneyland Hotel in Paris. begins its transformation.

Kelli 9:51
I saw that also saw that they are taking you COVID precautions. Naturally, of course.

Chris 9:58
When the hotel this is a man major undertaking like they have they have is it going to be finished by me? Well I don’t know that we’re gonna be we’re not gonna stay there anyway but no this is I don’t think this will be ready by me this is a major undertaking they literally empty every bit of furniture like over 1500 pieces of furniture they pulled out of this thing, because it’s getting a complete we were gonna stay on property for we are but not the Disneyland Hotel. Okay, the Disneyland Hotel because we don’t have that many points. Okay. I want to know the person that does when it reopens, the Disneyland Hotel will take on a royal theme and become a the true kingdom of many Disney princesses and princes. These beautifully decorated rooms this is their statement. These beautifully decorated rooms and suites will draw inspiration from animated classes such as Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and sleeping beauty as well as recent hits like tangled and frozen. Yay. What’s cool is they gave they let cast members like pay very small amounts of money to take some of the furniture. Oh,

Kelli 11:08
I see. That’s fine.

Chris 11:09
That’s cool.

Kelli 11:10
Now that’s fun.

Chris 11:11
And they donated 1500 pieces of furniture to local charity organizations to help outfit at home failed.

Kelli 11:18
That’s fantastic. Yeah, that’s awesome. Well done. Disneyland Paris. That’s great. Love

Chris 11:24
that. Yes. Um, you know, I’m looking for a job.

Kelli 11:28
You are.

Chris 11:29
Walt Disney World is seeking stunt actors with trampoline experience.

Kelli 11:34
Well, gosh, honey, you have ostensive Trump,

Chris 11:39
Donald Trump I have jumped on a trampoline into a

Kelli 11:41
pool before you think that counts as extensive trampoline experience I

Chris 11:45
didn’t say that they said with trampoline experience.

Kelli 11:48
Okay, well you need to add that line to your resume

Chris 11:50
then I think it’s for the monkeys in the in the in the The Lion King show

Kelli 11:56
I don’t think I want you dress like a monkey

Chris 11:59
man. Gotta bring home that bacon Sleeping Beauty speaking of Disneyland Paris by the way Sleeping Beauty Castle got unveiled this past week looks ridiculous and amazing. We love it.

Kelli 12:12
Yes I’m very excited about that. Um, Disney

Chris 12:15
plus things we didn’t talk about this yet. But in Kanto actually is available now on Disney plus for free. Oh, wow. Okay, and if you haven’t seen in Kanto man do yourself a favor. Go see that show. It is so stinking good. The music, the colors the dancing air the story. It is so good. I love it. And the book of Boba Fett launched this week,

Kelli 12:41
you did not watch an episode I have not watched plus cheated on me. No, I haven’t.

Chris 12:46
I’m not Disney plus cheated. But go out there check the Patton Oswald apparently did some skit on Parks and Rec where he he read his own like fake fanfiction. Oh rap out the resurgence of Boba Fett. And they literally took that story from Parks and Rec and built it into a scene.

Kelli 13:03
Is it possible that that was a story somewhere else and Patton Oswald was just

Chris 13:09
maybe who knows? I don’t know.

Kelli 13:11
It’s just cool,

Chris 13:11
but it’s cool. John fabric did that is just really really cool. Okay. All right. So onto Tomorrowland. That’s smarter. And I’m excited. I think we’re both doing top fives this week. We are. So I’m doing you can imagine how excited we are about next week. To take it out of this breezy. This freeze this literally if it’s just gonna be less than zero tonight, which is crazy. It’s going to be covered with snow tomorrow. And then after that, we’re going to be at the Polynesian in Florida. So I’m talking about the top five things I’m looking forward to next week that I’ve never experienced. Sweet. Luckily, it’s the 50th anniversary and there’s lots of new things right well dice Hey, great. Hey, let me hear lots of new things right. First off, firework shows. The new firework shows the new nighttime spectaculars as they say, number one of these Disney enchantment this is a 15 minute show featuring lasers fireworks projections. The projections feature a truckload of Disney and Pixar characters apparently the projections have got somehow even better than they were before I believe it and for the first time the projections extend all the way down Main Street USA yes we haven’t seen we have not seen that there. We got a little tiny taste of it at Disney land right? But I am so excited now they say if you get too close to the castle though that you can’t miss those you miss it so I love this because it’s a reason to spread us all out ran out get us down there and I’ll go I’ll be the one yeah, go down. Down there. Yeah, good because we’ll be together. We’ll be together down there good worlds a page. They do keep the magic of Tinkerbell flying off the top of the castle which I love. Yep, go tank and fill it Lawrence and Kayla Alvarez perform a new original song called You Are the magic. I’m just so excited about this. But if I could be even more excited than I am about harmonious the other new fireworks

Kelli 15:08
Wait, because we see the barges like a bazillion already

Chris 15:12
see these barges in action. I want to see this. The whole idea here is to show how the music and stories of Disney can cross language and cultural barriers. These are things that can unite us. Maybe it’s a small thing but it’s something that we can all build on. Yes, we need that. There are 13 languages and 40 musical artists that perform in this show includes favorites from Awana Aladdin Coco brave The Lion King Milan Princess and the Frog. It includes music images and video on those big barges you know projections on water screens you know love water level water screen,

Kelli 15:53
you call it a Water Curtain water. It’s so much better.

Chris 15:57
That was the one I came up with a Water Curtain. fountains and fireworks. This show is awesome. So you’ll hear Disney standard music in other languages and cultures which is just great. I’m hoping that we get a little pixie dust again right there between UK and France where remember that time that lady she led us down there by the water area. Yeah, that was nice.

Kelli 16:24
Should I just watch how should I look to get that mixed pixie dust happen? Just

Chris 16:28
do what’s distraught. I don’t what did we what do you reckon we look? You know what?

Kelli 16:32
I could limp. I’ve still got the hurt foot.

Chris 16:39
Okay, whatever. I’ll do it. We’ll look for Lauren sad. Maybe we’ll see. Okay, so fireworks was the first one. Number two kite tails. Yes, I want to see kite tail. This is a you’ve undoubtedly heard about this online. A 10 minute show on the Discovery river amphitheater. This is where rivers of light used to be. It features 3d Kites in the form of Disney’s Animal characters pulled across the water on Jet Skis. Super creative idea. There are actually two different shows. One feature is Simba and Zazu. So Lion King, okay. And the other is Jungle Book featuring King Louie and blue. Okay, fun. Yep. Apparently this is a there was much more involved here. I thought it was just jet skis, just dragging these kites around. You know, there’s actually two people on each jetski one driver, and another one that rides backwards actually controlling Oh, come

Kelli 17:36
on, you didn’t believe that. They were just gonna tie it to a back of a child’s head. Oh my goodness. It’s like you don’t even know Disney. I mean, half shot, they don’t have people like hanging from the trees working on some other way. They’re not run by lasers. I think the amphitheater.

Chris 17:55
I think that what I might be most excited about when it comes to the kite Tails is the landings or the crash landings in the bleachers. I’ve seen these a dozen times online but I just got to be even more amazing to see the person that’s not supposed to have that is how they land. That’s a crash land them effectively into the bleachers. Okay. See, you’re more excited now.

Kelli 18:18
I don’t know if I am.

Chris 18:20
I’m not sure if it’s sold me or not. So kite tails. That was number two. Okay. Number three beacons of magic. This is basically as part of the 50th anniversary celebration all for Park icons, the castle, the Hollywood Tower Hotel, the tree of life and the Spaceship Earth. All got these glow UPS these these Riley’s plussing, right, new lighting schemes. Cindy’s lighting is almost subdued compared to what Cindy castle looks like when they’re doing projections and stuff on it right you know, but still a beautiful lighting scheme on the castle Tree of Life and Animal Kingdom is got these beautiful blue and green and purple hues and there’s actually like a projection show now on there that we’ve never seen before we haven’t that I don’t know if it’s just a seasonings thing that they do during the holiday season but we might have to try to get back over there in the evening or something

Kelli 19:20
we’ve all went well first of all we’re never there and we’re not there and when we were we saw rivers of light right so I don’t know what seems probably not gonna happen this time honey come on

Chris 19:29
got don’t don’t just put up now okay, we got things to do. I know

Kelli 19:32
you got springs reservation we got

Chris 19:35
we got Walmart shorts and stuff like that. The but nothing I don’t think can compare to what they’ve done with Spaceship Earth. And I’m excited about oh my gosh, I want to I want to just stay in there and watch the different patterns.

Kelli 19:48
Such a good job with that did oh

Chris 19:51
Zack is uh, he’s got something I think he’s gonna make something with himself. Okay,

Kelli 19:57
I’m gonna try to have an open mind when I go into his new store.

Chris 19:59
I’d love it if you did. If you don’t go out, go wait for me outside. I’ll have a good time

Kelli 20:05
to have an open mind when I go into Zach’s new store.

Chris 20:08
creations. It’s called number four, the fab 50 character collection.

Kelli 20:15
Yeah, that’s cute.

Chris 20:16
So these are the golden statues that are now scattered across all four parks. Magic Kingdom definitely has the most at 25 Mickey Minnie Donald Daisy, Pluto, goofy Dumbo, and Timothy Chippendale Gustin Jacque Pooh and Piglet Tink Abu Abu Abu Cheshire Cat Mad Hatter Orangeburg Pinocchio stitch letting the tramp Lumiere and Cogsworth. I think we should endeavor to get a picture with every golden statue.

Kelli 20:42
Oh, no, that’s fun. They’re interactive too. Right? I

Chris 20:45
think maybe some of them in the app in the app or whatever. Right. Epcot, Olaf and Bruni Pula. Hey, hey rocket, baby Groot. Miguel Dante and figment at DEF CON.

Kelli 20:54
I thought Saul was also at Epcot. He’s

Chris 20:56
it His name is Joe gardener. And he is oh, he’s

Kelli 20:58
he’s it was studios. Yeah, that

Chris 21:01
makes more so along with Edna Mode. Oh, and the mode Frozone BB eight RD D twos massive suit. Sebastian and flounder, Woody and Bo Peep. Love says that

Kelli 21:17
he is such an underrated character Animal

Chris 21:19
Kingdom has Bambi and Thumper, Simba Timon and Pumbaa and Nemo and Dory. I think we should get a picture with all of them.

Kelli 21:25
I agree completely. Yeah.

Chris 21:27
Good. I love it when we’re on of one accord. And then lastly, the new 50th anniversary snacks there are 150 plus new food and drink items launching at some point during the 50th anniversary celebration. There’s a signature a signature cocktail and magic magical beacon is a gin drink so I’m out. There’s br guests is offering something called a squid revenge. This is an MC a lotta which is a Bloody Mary that uses beer instead of vodka effectively. It’s got a grilled octopus tentacle hanging out too hard now. Yeah.

Kelli 21:58
Are no from me.

Chris 21:59
You know? Powerheart man

Kelli 22:02
hard. No.

Chris 22:03
Here’s the two things. I’m definitely going to get the toad burger at fryers. Look.

Kelli 22:09
Okay,

Chris 22:10
this is a burger with two olive stuck in the bun and a pickled tongue sticking out so it looks like a toad. Oh, can I have your olives and you can see a need ask. And they replaced the regular beef patty with a broad worst patty.

Kelli 22:23
You do like the HUD loving

Chris 22:25
I love it. I love it. So I’m going to have that and I think that I’m going to go for the pressed Penny silk pie at Casey’s Corner. So supposedly have like a silk pie Frank so pies like a chocolate pie was Walt’s favorite? This is a chocolate tart shell silky chocolate filling whipped cream, a chocolate pressed Penny like those pressed pennies, you can go okay, cute. And then and then a crown of chocolate shavings around the top. I

Kelli 22:58
should probably go out and look at the list. So like maybe you’ve done some research that I haven’t done and I’m not gonna know what’s next ticket.

Chris 23:05
There’s a ridiculous Sunday at the Plaza. There’s uncle Oracle’s big beautiful tomorrow Sunday served in like a little tub. Anything

Kelli 23:13
anything in souvenir mugs or souvenir tubs or boats or anything.

Chris 23:19
Well, the the tops classes he’s actually in a tub. It looks like a clawfoot tub. And it’s a man in a tunnel. No, it’s a Sunday they serve it like in a bathtub. Oh, that’s cute. That’s cute. Honorable mentioned his 50th anniversary merge. So okay, Ross. Okay.

Kelli 23:37
Well, it’s okay. So I’ve also done a top five. I’m gonna do the top five things I’m most excited about for next week that we’ve already done. Yeah. Now, here’s the fun thing you did all like shows insights.

Chris 23:52
What you’re gonna do hunt.

Kelli 23:53
I’m gonna do all food.

Chris 23:56
Raise your hand if you’re shocked. Nobody’s raising their hand.

Kelli 24:00
Okay, so first thing we’ve been to these restaurants before some we haven’t had these particular meals there but I’m going to go through where we’re eating and exactly what I’m going to get at each one. Okay? Okay. So one. Ohana. We’re gonna go to ohana.

Chris 24:17
We’ve, I’ve eaten there before. Yeah, yes. No that we’ve eaten there.

Kelli 24:21
So we’re gonna go there for breakfast. Ohana. Breakfast is $25 per adult 24 or 4014 per child. I’m sure I typed that wrong. 14 per child. So first of all, I’m going to need their freshly made Pineapple Coconut breakfast bread. That’s what they’re known for. Right? That’s called Kona toast or something.

Chris 24:42
Tonga toast,

Kelli 24:43
whatever it is, I need it. And then I’m going to have the Ohana. Plant based breakfast skillet, which is scrambled eggs in quote. Okay, okay sausage in quotes. Fried island style potatoes and The character shaped waffle. I’ve never had excellent eggs in quotes.

Chris 25:09
I’ve never had eggs in quotes either. I’ve had I’ve had eggs and I’ve had social sausage in quotes. I’ve

Kelli 25:15
never had eggs in quotes. So I don’t know how that’s gonna get. But I’m gonna give it a go. You know, step out there, try something new. For my drink. I’m gonna go with the Kona coffee. Let me read this to you. Kona, Hawaii is one of the most fertile coffee growing regions it is the combination of fertile soil and mild mountain climate produces one of the richest coffees in the world. 100% kona coffee by Jeffrey’s coffee I cannot say and it’s comes in a French press. It serves two but I don’t think it does. Well, it won’t. It’s not gonna serve to that day. But in any case, I love Jeffrey Jeffries coffee, and so he’s gonna make my Kona coffee. They’re in French press and I’m very excited about it. I may try the Mimosa my way. We’ll just see how spunky I’m feeling. Let’s Yeah, this is Brut champagne with my choice of fruit juice. Juice. They have like several different Yeah, you can well you can get like pineapple orange pug. I don’t know that pug was an option, honey, you should ask. It’s $13 I don’t think that that part of it matters anyway.

Okay, so that’s our ohana breakfast. I’m pretty excited about that. Okay, next we’re gonna have breakfast Cindy’s castle. I love breakfast. I know, right? You do love breakfast. And so our goal this time was to sort of eat at places either we’ve never eaten or eat meals there that we’ve never eaten there before. Right? Right. So we’re going to send these breakfasts now Cindy’s breakfast is $42 per adult or $27 per child. The I’ve got two options here really and I haven’t made up my mind yet. One is the royal avocado toast. This is multigrain toast plant based eggs and cheese. I’m gonna guess this eggs and quotes again. Avocado, radish and jalapenos. Oh wow. Or, or or I will have the caramel apple stuffed French toast. Decadent Well, I’m worried about the apples like I don’t know if I can eat the apples with my denture work.

Chris 27:26
I can live very believably because I got a broke foot and I don’t know if I eat the apples because of all my denture work.

Kelli 27:33
Caramel Apple stuff which does decadent french toast stuff with sweet cream cheese and spiced apples drizzled with caramel sauce and served with bacon. Obviously you can have my bacon here’s

Chris 27:42
what I would say. Figure it out man because that’s the right choice. So

Kelli 27:46
then to drink now this is extra I’m gonna pay $14 for this. Okay, okay, Cindy doesn’t give you like free alcohol for breakfast although she should. It’s a very royal experience. Open up your mind, man. So I’m going to have the royal breakfast flight. Oh, yes. Oh, for $14 This is going to be a mimosa with Paul Chenault. Lady of Spain kava and orange juice Cannella billini Sparkling peach cocktail. And an OPC family selection sangria. I think Cindy nailed that as a two. I mean, maybe best way to start today at magic. Yes.

Chris 28:28
The only way to start today at the Magic Kingdom is $14 for that will fly kids with us but if you’ve got kids, you started there better go there because that’s the only time you’re gonna get an alcoholic beverage.

Kelli 28:39
Now, number three is homecoming lunch. Now we have been to homecoming. We love homecoming we’ve had no but again, we’ve had every meal at homecoming. So what I’m going to try to do here is maybe get at least one dish that I haven’t had before. And that’s gonna be the appetizer. Okay, so for an appetizer I want to try their okra fries, which is hand cut okra lightly battered and crispy fried served with icebox dressing. Do you think that’s like ranch? Was icebox dressing

Chris 29:18
if you could help us understand what I Sparx dressing is?

Kelli 29:21
No it just a few days send us a message that’s $13 it was okra for us. We’ve never had those. We always get the hush puppies with the permitted cheese. Yeah, hashtag we can get both sweet. I’m definitely going to get the kitchen plate with my sampling of three different housemaid sides. And these are described as yum yum and yummy. They are good $19 I will have the mac and cheese the small and I think I’m gonna try the succotash Oh, interesting. Isn’t it? Interesting. Okay, then for dessert? I’m gonna go with the chocolate pecan pie. Oh, are you the 100 year old traditional Smith Family Farm recipe served with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream for $12 Yeah, and on the side of all that, I’m gonna have a 24 ounce bottle of this

Chris 30:05
shot. Yes you are. Yes, yes. We will both have that because it is so good. Oh good. Oh good. You know, I think I’ll have the hummingbird cake this time since you’re gonna go with the pecan pie now you know

Kelli 30:18
that the one that’s like 100 proof.

Chris 30:20
The cake the cake. Yeah, well, there’s, there’s one called shine cake. Oh, that’s the one that was like 100 Proof moonshine right into the cake. It’s awesome. And if you’re listening right now and you’re like, your head’s exploding, that’s real people real that is real thrill. I’m thinking about the hummingbird cake this time though. Okay,

Kelli 30:42
does that have alcohol? Oh, chocolate ice cream. I feel like you’re making a mistake. Okay, number four Gideons cookies. Now we love Gideons. We’ve never been to the Disney Springs location. So fun fact, you cannot preorder at the Disney Springs location. You got to stand in line and you got to be committed to the Disney Springs location but I’m going to try to that I haven’t tried before all we’ve really ever had was the chocolate chip and the triple the triple chocolate. So the first the first one I’m gonna get is Gideons coffee cake cookie. This is an extra buttery vanilla bean cookie filled with cinnamon strudel. And topped with our homemade double baked butter crumbs. Buttery, crunchy extrordinary built to be paired with the Gideons pumpkin Chai Nitro Cold Brew. This flavor is available every morning until sell out only Gideons at Disney Springs to kick

Chris 31:42
off with a cookie for sure. And in the cold brew. Well,

Kelli 31:45
are we gonna be there that early? I mean, I kind of feel like you need to make this happen for me. mean

Chris 31:56
why so selfish?

Kelli 31:58
Jeez. The second one I’m gonna get is cookies and cream. Okay, so the cookies in green cookie. It says we have come to know this one as our cult cookie. People who love it want everyone else to obsess over it along with them. Why? Because it’s like a cookies and cream milkshake and a cookie. It starts with our ultra soft vanilla bean cookie filled with chunks of hand cut double stuff. we top it with a complete covering over crushed cookies to solidify cookies and cream in a way you’ve never experienced. It is not the prettiest cookie but it is so sweet and tasty. And I’ll give them that it is not the prettiest cookie on their website. But I’m gonna give that a go I’m a little bit worried about the the double stuffed cookies on the inside with my with my gums and my feet problems but we’re gonna give that a go. Okay, and the number five trader Sam’s grog grotto.

Chris 32:54
Oh,

Kelli 32:55
now we’ve been to Trader Sam’s Disneyland we haven’t actually been to Grog grotto but this is what we’re going with. So I’m gonna start with the Melaka Leakey my time. Yeah, of course, which is plantation original dark rum, Bacardi Superior rum, cinnamon, or get and Falernum with a splash of lime juice in a cinnamon stick. Now this is $15 Sure. Okay, then I think I’m gonna get just whatever else comes in a souvenir mug and this one sounds really interesting the Polynesian Pearl This is $20 So I think it probably comes in a souvenir mug RumChata cream liqueur grande Martin yay and cinnamon as tropical juices the pearl is yours to keep so I think it’s a pearl drinking vessel that the pearl but they had like four different options for souvenir cups on their menu and it was like this one comes in souvenir cup number oh three,

Chris 33:52
one that makes the volcano on the wall explodes Yeah.

Kelli 33:54
And I’m like severe cup. Oh three six, like do I need to research. I’m also going to try the veggie rainbow roll. They have some sushi. Oh, okay. So I’m pretty excited about it. Hopefully we’ll come home with enough souvenir mugs that we can just start drinking out of those on a regular basis. They don’t have to be special or

Chris 34:15
special. Significant. Oh my gosh, look, I don’t know what this did for anybody that’s listening to this podcast. But I am jazz.
